Heard (read) a story once of some druggie actually trying to cook up some meth in a store...
Some things that people would do at Walmart on a regular basis that pissed me off. 1. Dirty (poopy) diapers disposed of in a shopping cart. 2. Using my department to rip open packages with inventory control tags and stealing the contents, then leaving the packaging in my department drawing the attention of management on me. 3. Removing the dividers in the fish tank which separate the Beta fish while I'm on my lunch break. I come back to pets to find dead or dying/mutilated beta fish because they were all fighting to the death during the last 10-20 minutes. 4. Leaving their half eaten snacks (which were stolen from the grocery side) on the shelves for me to clean up. Big plus when there is a snotty tissue there as well. Love that. 5. Opening merchandise to inspect the contents, then leaving said contents in a pile for me to figure out how to get it back in the box. Many times it was a customer helping themselves to an item within merchandise to replace something which broke in an earlier purchase. 6. Urinating on the floor of my department. Yep. That is a thing. 7. Walmart tag is also a thing, and it's annoying. I have more, but I can promise you that relocating or turning around a gunbuster wouldn't even register on my radar of crap that used to anger me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

The free market (or whatever we have left of it in America) will win out on this. Guns are an amazing product and a steady profit generator. Hell, the costs you save by not needing a dedicated advertising campaign like other products use are amazing in themselves. I'd trust a return on investment from an established gun shop more than I would a savings bond from most countries in the Eurozone right now.3 points

I think I would give that a second thought!! from what i have read you have two things that may happen well actually 3. (1) The gun may shoot and may not. (2) the gun may blow up and (3) you might have gun blow up and still get snake bit...... :rofl:3 points

After seeing this I moved the ones at my local "superstore" and put them where they belong... With the tampons.3 points

It's acid dipped and stone washed 1084 carbon steel professionally heated treat to 59-60RC. I also gave it the flame accent at the blade edge and added a "cave man" look at the top and sides of the spine and has jimping on the spine as well. It has green canvas micarta scales with yellow G10 liners with stainless corby fasteners and a stainless lanyard hole.2 points

That's how insurance has always worked. The insurance company pays x for x procedure and the health care facility either accepts a certain insurance and agrees to accept that fee or they do not. However, the "billing you for the excess" part is bunk AFAIK. Matter of fact, for the last 10 years before I assumed official geezer status, the ONLY thing my insurance did for me was that I paid the insurance rate instead of the walk-in price (often close to half the price) since I never hit the 5K deductible to where insurance would pay for anything at all. So they had to charge me the insurance rate, as it's part of the contract when they accept a certain insurance. You never notice the "write off" or "allowed charge" on a medical bill? That's the difference between what the provider would charge an uninsured person vs an insured one they accept. Of course, you'll pay out of pocket for whatever deductible and/or a certain % more until you hit the yearly total out of pocket. Which is nothing new either. In short, what's new here, except that the insurance companies/Medicare are paying less as time goes on, and of course gummit intervention in making a more universal contract among insurers who agree to participate in ACA. What's new are some of the author's claims, but I think he's simply quite uninformed on medical health insurance facts and don't believe some of his statements are accurate at all. If a health provider accepts your insurance for the needed procedures, it also accepts the fee structure that your insurance will pay for them, and doesn't "bill you for the extra". And sure, it could be that you won't be able to get your bypass done at Vandy, if Vandy doesn't accept your insurance. But if they do, they'll do it for the price agreed upon in the contract. Now, if anything has changed regarding what I've said above, I'd like to see documentation, as sure, I could be wrong -- there's probably no way to overestimate the devastation that ObamaCare is gonna have, but I don't see this as part of it. - OS2 points

Does this or anything else these leftist liberals idiots do surprise anyone any more? They have reached a point of desperation now that they feel they need to use banks to do their dirty work for them. They don't have the kahunas to do it themselves. Wait let me rephrase that. They are not smart enough to do it themselves so want someone that is smarter to do it for them. Nothing surprises me about these low life scumbags amazes me any more. Make sure all of you remember this when you make your trips into the polling booth come November and make sure you support anyone the NRA is backing. Would be a good place to begin looking to see what the NRA plans are. Make sure you read every email sent to you NRA members and make sure you tell all your friends and family to learn as much as they can about who the NRA is backing. That is where I will be throwing all of my support..............jmho2 points

Looks like they cut down the bullet to reduce weight and recoil energy, and possibly handloaded the shell for a reduced load. No point in that, you can do more with the S&W 500 and the ammo is much cheaper. :-)2 points

Forgive my dissent. Recognizing it is "harmless fun", I still do not believe continued annoyance of a WW clerk (who has to reset the inventory) is placing our best foot forward in support of 2A.2 points

I previously had a Smith and Wesson model 642 that I really liked, but sold it about 9 months ago to help my wife buy something she wanted. Really enjoyed shooting the J frame with my bunny fart reloads. Luckily for me, I found a replacement earlier this morning. This one is an older model 36. The blueing is a little dinged up, but the cylinder locks up tight and the trigger is smooth. Called S&W customer service, and they said it was made in1975, but they also said not to use +P ammo in this gun. The wood stocks appear to be original and in overall pretty good condition. The only .38 self defense ammo I currently have is some +P 125 grain Speer Gold Dot Hollow Points. Any of you revolver guys have any suggestions for carry ammo?1 point

Today was an inaugural day for me: Several years after getting my permit, I finally bought my first handgun! Since the seller was kind enough to include a nice holster, I decided to do the "Wally Walk", too. :D I bought some ammo to commemorate the occasion. For the moment, I'm mostly wearing it around the house & carrying it unloaded until I get comfortable with handling it in a safe manner. Thanks again to forum member Sonny for a great purchase, and a nice piece, too!1 point

This is the Queen Kasey in action. The other day when I was getting ready to go have coffee with Joe45 She saw me getting ready to go and I had not invited her to go along yet so she takes up residence between front and rear tire to block me from leaving till she got invited by opening up her door and getting her step out so she could get in. She use to be able to jump up in Jeep till she got so fat. 1 point

Women have purses and us guys have holsters. At least it's like that with my wife and me. She has a crap load of purses and never seems to find the right one. The same goes with me. I have went through a ton of holsters and I am now narrowing it down to a few. This is getting expensive and it's got to stop  Who here also suffers from this infliction ? Here are my holsters I may keep but you never know :snore: . 1 point

1st off, do not advertise anything for sale unless you are a benefactor. 2nd, do not try to sell anything commercially without becoming a vendor first. (It is obvious that the link you provided is connected to you) You obviously came here with an agenda. You are more than welcome to stay but you MUST follow the rules. You should have received all the rules, or links to the rules, in the email you received when you registered. Again, I welcome you to the board but you must follow the rules that are in place to protect everyone, including you.1 point

Speaking of this dude, did you all see the MJ hologram last night at the music awards? Holy crap did that look good, technology has improved so much in that market... it was amazing. Now if they could do something like that for someone that actually mattered like Thomas Jefferson or someone cool, that would be even better.1 point

My advice, call one of the safe selling vendors here on TGO, tell them your desires and budget and let the pros work for you.1 point

That is a fine carry gun! It'll shoot anything that'll fit in the chamber. Telling you not to shoot +p ammo in it is a CYA from Smith and Wesson. It might eventually work loose if you shoot a BUNCH or +p ammo, but it'll take more than my hands or wallet could stand. A model 60 is a stainless version of the 36, and could be had chambered in 357 Magnum. +p 38 Special doesn't get close to 357 mag pressures. The Gold Dots would be fine assuming they shoot to the point of aim.1 point

I have had a kguard system for several years now and it still works fine. Things I recommend getting in a unit, no matter the brand. *240FPS + Remember, divide that number by cameras used. *Get at least an 8 channel DVR = 8 cameras. I bought a 8 channel DVR that came with 4 cameras, then added. * PTZ Capable (Pan tilt zoom) camera, runs on its own channel. My system I can use the remote to move this camera around.1 point

:pleased: aw shucks. I can't make anyone "get it". As an idea, moving the merchandise is witty and funny. In practice, it is petty and childish and portrays "us" in that light to WM employees and managers who are, in practice, neither for nor against "us"... not all of them are so attached to the cause. - not to mention any news media that ever get wind of this - should the practice "expand" (remember, proof that it was intentional and planned... and laughed about is all over a public forum). The reality is that it won't win any friends for the freedoms of our kids. Totally outside of that realm: As far as "How would someone track me down". -not that hard when you post in a public forum... what you scrolled over, clicked, when you clicked it, where you were when you clicked it, how long you looked at it before you clicked it, ... and darn near what you were wearing (or not) when you clicked it is all tracked, known, logged, and is easily searched forever. Many on this forum know much better than I. look -not trying to poop in the Kracker Jacks; it just seems like we can be so serious about this "fight" for our freedoms, and then find the need to belittle anyone who calls us out when we do things that don't help. So, no not seriously,.... I am just offering some perspective - take it or leave it... or even make fun of it, most likely we'll all be alright at the end of the day.1 point

Scrap price for brass is $1.65 per pound. It's worth something. As others have said, you can purchase a membership to this forum and sell it here. Most people don't want to buy a handful, unless it is a scarce chambering, so it would be better to save it up until you have a lot of it. I buy used brass, and personally, I prefer to get it the way it hit the ground, rather than polished or otherwise processed.1 point
