  1. I see several people who should have woken up in a hospital needing emergency surgery to remove a cell phone from their ass. Seriously... I just couldn't do that job. You guys keep that in mind the next time someone posts a "cop bashing" thread here on TGO. This is the sort of B.S. they put up with on a daily basis. If 9 out of 10 people you encountered in your job acted like those assholes, you would probably find it really hard to choke back the expectation that the 10th person was going to be any different. And for what it's worth, the blacks in the ghetto are just the most recent arrivals to the video everything the cops do party. Stupid ass white people started it during during protests and demonstrations, just HOPING to catch one cop at his wits end, finally going upside someone's head with a well-deserved baton or a boot. Freedom gives you a lot of things in this country, but one thing it SHOULDN'T is freedom from consequences. Those highly productive members of black society who were obviously just on a lunch break from their well-paying jobs at Edward Jones and Associates, clearly got lucky and missed the Consequences Bus that day. Martin Luther King must be rolling over in his grave. He died for THIS?!?

  3. That guy resisted because of the taunting from the thugs. Once I had him in the car I would have cuffed and stuffed the loud mouth, and he would have taken the ride with him.

  4. Cops need LOTS more dogs with them. It would be a shame if one or two got loose and ate a few of those pieces of shit.

  5. For starters, the female officer is having to deal with the idiots instead of backing up her partner.  And if they did not rile up the perp, he would of just went quietly. Though it did turn out ok, the potential for something to go wrong goes way up when idiots like that one pull these stunks.  I fully support being able to film, on both sides, but the crowding of the scene is definitely not ok, and egging on someone resist is probably close to being, if not outright, a crime.

  6. Btq96r you must of seen a different video than I did.  While they most certainly do have a right to video tape, they do not have a right to interfere with the officers.  Anything that takes the officers attention away from the issues at hand can be hazardous to the officers and the arrestee.  And did anyone happen to notice all the comments, many with the cop shooting icon?

  7. I didn't see a thing wrong in that video from either the officers or the onlookers.  I wouldn't agree with the demeanor or the language used by the crowd, but they have the right to be there, and say what they want to say.  If their actions stepped over the line, there would be a need for consequences, but they didn't.    I get that LEO's have to deal near exclusively with assclowns, but if they didn't know that going in, or can't handle it after doing the job for too long, they are free to quit.  We pay them- that's right we pay them through our taxes- to behave professionally at all times.  The officers in the video didn't demonstrate restraint to me, they did their jobs.  As it should be every time.   Also, the onlookers have the right to film the police officers.  I have a live video streaming app on my phone for that purpose as well that uploads a video as it records, so I can access it later if my mobile happens to have an accident.  You can be damn sure it gets turned on every time I encounter an LEO.  It's for my personal protection, because quite frankly, I feel the need for that insurance, not because I'm for hoping to catch a cop doing the wrong thing.  Thank all the officers who do the wrong thing for destroying my trust in the system.

  10. I attempted a couple of the adjustable back chairs like this a couple of summers ago. The geometry alone was tough to pull off and they were just chairs, not a rocker. So, I commend you on the stringer/rocker work they look very sturdy. I bet an outdoor furniture store in Brentwood or Franklin could easily get $1K for one of those, especially if it were hardwood instead of pine. Find a store like that and see if they do consignment on the first one and if it sells fast, they might be willing to buy from you and sell at a mark-up to their existing customers.

  13. Well I guess I have found it is time to do what I probably should have done back a few weeks ago. That is let folks here know about health issues I found I have. I went to ER back about 12 days before Christmas for a UTI (urinary tract infection) during the tests I found out that I also have type 2 Diabetes.   I also learned I have an Aneurism 8 centimeters in size in my abdomen that requires surgery.   Before the surgeon would operate she wanted me to consult with a cardiac doctor to see if my heart would survive the surgery. Went in on Thursday for stress tests and a battery of other tests. Not good news. The doctor said I have a couple blockages in my heart according to the tests.    Monday I go in for an arterialgram and the doctor said that if he can locate the blockages that he will more than likely install stints at that time to correct the problem. If the heart fix works I am still facing the Aneurism surgery as soon as I recover from the heart issue if it is successful.      So that is where my life is right now. Everything in my life has done a 180 in the last month. I have addressed the diabetes and now have it under control but right now. that   The UTI is gone are to date the only positives to come out of this.      I don't usually ask for much but if any of ya'll could, a prayer or two would really be appreciated. I have been a bit overwhelmed with all that has happened in my life and being able to spend time here since this happened has been great therapy for me. I could not think of a better place to be right now than here with friends

  14.   Well, I can understand, since it's not apparently a matter of law, but of a TICS "policy" that apparently nobody has ever heard of before, at least on TGO.   Matter of fact, if the reason proves to be accurate,  OP should challenge it in court, since he should easily be able to do it for just the low cost of the filing fee. If they can do this, they can also rule that you're a psychotic because you're got script for antidepressants, who knows what else for c'sakes.   - OS

  17. I have been in a few of those situations. A K9 Officer shows up and gets a dog out and it’s nothing but azzholes and elbows. Why? Because criminals know those dogs do not give a damn; they are color blind and can’t be intimidated.

  18. Everyone shouid read this...   http://www.allenbwest.com/2014/12/quite-possibly-racist-article-will-ever-read/         About Allen West:   Allen West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached. He is the third of four generations of military servicemen in his family.   During his 22 year career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was a Battalion Commander in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and later in Afghanistan. He received many honors including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals and a Valorous Unit Award. In 1993 he was named the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year.   After his retirement from the Army in 2004, Allen taught high school for a year before returning to Afghanistan as a civilian military adviser to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007.   In November of 2010, Allen was honored to continue his oath of service to his country when he was elected to the United States Congress, representing Florida’s 22nd District. As a member of the 112th Congress, he sat on the Small Business and Armed Services Committees and was instrumental in passage of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act.   He is a Fox News Contributor, a Senior Fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, and regularly writes for numerous media outlets.   Allen is an avid distance runner, a Master SCUBA diver and motorcyclist. His wife, Angela, holds an MBA and Ph.D. and is a financial planner. His older daughter, Aubrey, attends college in south Florida, and his younger daughter Austen, is in high school.

  19. Nothing but a bunch of disrespectful kids that think they're hard and gangsta. They need a father like this guy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ4XUnxupBs I bet that female cop could have took down the mouthy one with camera all by herself. Kudos to the Nash Metro LEO's for handling a situation that most folks would have probably went full parental discipline on those clowns. They definitely exercised some extreme restraint and patience.

  25. My wife wanted a little dog, our daughter just wanted a dog. Neither had ever been around a dog so something as a puppy was mandatory. I wanted a dog with a substantial bark, and decent size. A lab fit all of my requirements and I knew my daughter would adapt. When I saw the thread on here about the litter of pups needing homes, we drove down that weekend and picked Bandit out. She fit in the palm of your hand. For a day or two... The wife and the daughter wouldn't know what to do without Bandit at this point. They both took to her like fish to water. However, a large indoor dog is a job. I suppose one of those little yappy things doesn't make as much of a mess. Here she is at about a month old which was just the right size that no one in the house could say 'no:'

  27.   The odds that anyone left in military or even political service in France was there during WWII are astronomically against it.  With that in mind, and based on what I have read of the current generation of France's fighting forces written by members of our own elite forces (Rangers, SEALs, etc), running and surrendering are not in their vocabulary.   I know, the fact that France's political leaders rolled over and played dead for Hitler in WW2 makes for an easy target and a funny joke.  It's also disingenuous to their modern warfighters and, frankly, kind of tired and old.   What we should be throwing jabs about is the fact that France seriously restricts private gun ownership in that country and none of that gun control was worth a hill of beans in these most recent terrorist attacks.  Even the police are given the option to carry or not to carry a sidearm, and many of them reportedly opt not to.  Why in the world?!?   I suspect some officers may change their minds after this.

  29. I just checked my Tennessee Instant Check System FFL dealers guidelines manual and it states that one of the reasons that they will deny a firearms purchase is conviction for an alcohol related offense within the last 12 months. My guess is this is your problem.   I decided to look this up as Oh Shoot will soon want to add it to his legal library. They are basing this on TCA 39-17-1316 (a) (1) which prohibits persons addicted to alcohol from purchasing a firearm. How they decided one dui qualifies as addicted to alcohol is beyond me but that seems to be the TICS position.

Great looking Chairs I do a lot of wood working, it surprises me at the people that ask you to build something for them but they do not want to pay for it. http://s840.photobucket.com/user/ernursebjb/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps9c5b7332.jpg.html?o=2 Made this for my boss's son. After agreeing on a design AND price he tried to get me to take a lot less then agreed. And I only asked $75 for it. Your price is good stand firm and remember " they don't eat anything"

  38. The Kingsport gun show at the Meadowview Convention Center. I ran into a man selling 3 type 14s. Two of them all matching. I got one of them. He also had the type 94. There was also more M1 carbines lined up than I've ever seen in one place in my life. They had all the manufacturers represented. Also were selling carbine stocks and other oddities.    He had 2 Webley .455 revolvers too! One of them was un converted/cut!!! It was difficult to pass the Webley up, but the Nambu brings me closer to having all the Jap small arms.
