It’s Tennessee LEO’s that are doing it here. They shouldn’t need the Feds to tell them its wrong; the Tennessee legislature needs to follow suit and ban the practice.3 points

I guess I'll go ahead and get it done. I'm not looking forward to it but it sounds like the right thing to do.3 points

No. Apparently it's vaporware. Should have been out a long time ago. Regardless, the all plastic ones work just fine but since I base my operational kit on what the internet says I'll certainly perish in a tactical situation.2 points

They can confiscate anything they want if they are investigating a crime. The problem comes into play when they are asked to explain any RAS or PC that a crime was or is being committed. This is a black eye for law enforcement and as I said here before; you can lay this right at the feet of the Police Chiefs and Sheriffs that participate in it. Good cops don’t do this and good department heads don’t allow it.2 points

And where exactly does the shoulder start? I shoulder my guns over the meaty part of my chest about where my nipple is. Shouldering it over a bone gets painful pretty quick.2 points

Hardly. Wally Walks usually do not maim and disfigure. You ought to try pulling the trigger on a new load in a brand new gun. That you built. Even worse, experience a hang fire when you do. It sucks, and it puckers the butt big time.2 points

I had a friend who was retired LEO and approved numerous times, then one day a few months later he was inexplicably denied. He called and questioned, wondered and worried, but didn't get any answers until he filed the appeal form. He was subsequently told by the TBI that they "made a mistake" and were sorry, and he was instantly approved. Never told him what their mistake was, but at least they owned up to it.2 points

I was lucky to have adopted a beautiful baby boy beagle 15 years ago, he was just a little cute chubby one of six from the litter. I got him at the pound and he is a pure breed. Age caught up with him and today he couldn't take it anymore. The pic with the shirt was after his last surgery, the other one is from the rough life he had! :) Obie was his name and food was his game! This little guy got me through a lot in life and I am glad he crossed my path and brought me the joy and strength I needed. RIP little buddy!2 points

well shoot until the threat is stopped is what I know. Since he lived, it had to be placement and just not his time. Maybe that guy will count his lucky stars and turn things around in 5-10.2 points

I live in Franklin and am not worried one bit about it becoming like Hickory Hollow. This to me is nothing more than a statistical absolute. The larger a city gets, the more crime it has. Nowhere is immune to crime and I am sure in some ways, people here are an easy target because it is a nicer area, meaning that they are too oblivious to the real world around them. When violent crime starts spiking, I will worry about it.2 points

They've been at this for awhile now. Another reason people should be in prison!2 points

I have always loved this and think it might fit here: Dogs In Heaven? An old man and his dog were walking down this dirt road with fences on both sides, they came to a gate in the fence and looked in, it was nice grassy, woody areas, just what a 'huntin' dog and man would like, but, it had a sign saying 'no trespassing' so they walked on. They came to a beautiful gate with a person in white robes standing there. "Welcome to Heaven" he said. The old man was happy and started in with his dog following him. The gatekeeper stopped him. "Dogs aren't allowed, I'm sorry but he can't come with you." "What kind of Heaven won't allow dogs? If he can't come in, then I will stay out with him. He's been my faithful companion all his life, I can't desert him now." "Suit yourself, but I have to warn you, the Devil's on this road and he'll try to sweet talk you into his area, he'll promise you anything, but the dog can't go there either. If you won't leave the dog, you'll spend Eternity on this road." So the old man and dog went on. They came to a rundown fence with a gap in it, no gate, just a hole. Another old man was inside. "S'cuse me Sir, my dog and I are getting mighty tired, mind if we come in and sit in the shade for awhile?" "Of course, there's some cold water under that tree over there. Make yourselves comfortable" "You're sure my dog can come in? The man down the road said dogs weren't allowed anywhere." "Would you come in if you had to leave the dog?" "No sir, that's why I didn't go to Heaven, he said the dog couldn't come in. We'll be spending Eternity on this road, and a glass of cold water and some shade would be mighty fine right about now. But, I won't come in if my buddy here can't come too, and that's final." The man smiled a big smile and said "Welcome to Heaven." "You mean this is Heaven? Dogs ARE allowed? How come that fellow down the road said they weren't?" "That was the Devil and he gets all the people who are willing to give up a life long companion for a comfortable place to stay. They soon find out their mistake, but then it's too late. The dogs come here, the fickle people stay there. GOD wouldn't allow dogs to be banned from Heaven. After all, HE created them to be man's companions in life, why would he separate them in death?"2 points

Is it just me or does everyone on this forum have the attention span of a fl..... SQUIRREL!!!!2 points

It probably would have been the gas tube if he used a milspec barrel and milspec ammo. Steel jacketed bullets and a stainless barrel changed that equation. It was still entertaining.2 points

I have three adult cats around 12 years of age and a labrador that is 6 years old; all of them are fixed and live inside. As crazy as this sounds, I really wish that my male cat had not be fixed because I would love to have one of his offspring. Sometimes you just get a special animal that you know that you could never replace, but having one of their offspring may be the closest you could ever get. That is just another little something to think about.1 point

I filed the appeal right then and there and they faxed it in for me. A little back story as to why it bugs me more that it should, Our dept. went to 9mm and I have the opportunity to buy my duty weapon from the vendor that the 9mm's were purchased from. $299 for a nearly new Glock 23 Gen 3 w/night sites and 3 mags but we only have till next Wed to get them before they hit the floor. Arrrrggggghhhhhhhh the wonders of governments. :)1 point

Although we all know quite a bit about his life and the journey he made. it still will be incredible to watch. Even watching the preview of his agonizing decision in the scene with the little boy, I felt so torn. I could not imagine being in Chris's position and confronting the reality of either side on that. Shoot or not. Watching Cooper in that scene just makes me want to crawl in a hole and retreat from the world. I pray never having to make a decision like that.1 point

I agree, I can't imagine someone watching this flick and walking away disappointed. As far as walking away pumped up goes, I didn't expect to walk away from this movie feeling good. Like you said, his story is too heavy, tragic, and heartbreaking for that. If any of you are someone or know someone who did anything heroic in battle, you can relate to my favorite scene in the movie. Spoiler alert not necessary...he runs into someone whose life he'd saved over there and Bradley Cooper did an amazing job of showing how uncomfortable it would make a real hero when someone called him a hero to his face. I found it to be one of the most powerful scenes because if you're a big, strong, bad-ass, door kicking, well-trained, killing machine...like Kyle was trained to be...he's got to be a confident and strong-willed SOB, with a little swagger in his step ya know? Yet, when confronted with his achievements or being thanked face-to-face for his heroism, he's embarrassed to receive that kind of attention. It's was a real "lump in your throat" moment for me in the film.1 point

The obvious solution is that you need a couple more .25s! I only have one, myself, right now. Mine is just a little Titan but I really like shooting it. It is pretty much exactly like the very first handgun I ever owned (which was apparently 'lifted' from my mom's house at some point.) For such little pistols, mine have proven both surprisingly accurate and reliable.1 point

Oh, the Termi. What a car. I had an 04 back when they were new. It was my daily driver for 6 years. I was running a Kennebell at 23lbs with a hair over 700HP at the wheels. A 700RWHP daily Driver. And no one really knew about the Terminators. Many a Viper, Vette, Camaro, you name it...rolled up and were stunned. Here she was out on The Dragon about 10 years ago. I'm all misty! And I agree the New GT is the best looking supercar I have ever seen.1 point

+1 on Loshbough. Good folks, excellent guides and dogs, nice big area to hunt in and some big ole hogs back in there as well. I've also hunted Caryonah in Cookeville... good operation, excellent lodge but their hunting area is a bit smaller than Loshbough.1 point
