A large jet plane has crashed on a farm in the middle of rural Kentucky, feared to be Air Force One. Panic stricken, the local sheriffs department has mobilized and descended on the farm in force. By the time they got there, the aircraft was totally destroyed with only a burned hull left, smoldering in a tree line that bordered the farm. The sheriff and his men entered the smoking mess but could find no remains of anyone. They spotted the farmer plowing a field not too far away as if nothing had happened. They hurried over to the man’s tractor. “Hank,” the sheriff yelled, panting and out of breath. “Did you see this terrible accident happen?” “Yep. Sure did,” the farmer mumbled unconcerned, cutting off the tractor’s engine. Do you realize that is Air Force One, the airplane of the President of the United States?” “Yep.” “Were there any survivors?” “Nope. They’s all kilt straight out, “the farmer answered. “I done buried them all myself. Took me most of the morning.” “President Obama is dead?” the sheriff asked. “Well,” the farmer grumbled, restarting his tractor, “He kept a-saying he wasn’t, but you know how bad that sumbitch lies.”15 points

AS I GROW OLDER SINCE IT WAS SUCH A CRAPPY DAY I SAT IN MY RECLINER AND STARTED THINKING ABOUT LIFE AND CAME TO REALIZE THAT AS I HAVE GROWN OLDER I'VE LEARNED THAT PLEASING EVERYONE IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT PISSING EVERYONE OFF IS A PIECE OF CAKE. CONDOMS DON'T GUARANTEE SAFE SEX ANYMORE, A FRIEND OF MINE WAS WEARING ONE WHEN HE WAS SHOT BY THE WOMAN'S HUSBAND. LANCE ARMSTRONG….I THINK IT IS JUST TERRIBLE AND DISGUSTING HOW EVERYONE HAS TREATED LANCE ARMSTRONG, ESPECIALLY AFTER WHAT HE ACHIEVED, WINNING 7 TOUR DE FRANCE RACES, WHILE ON DRUGS. HELL, WHEN I WAS ON DRUGS, I COULDN'T EVEN FIND MY BIKE. DRIVE BY….SOME ONE BROKE INTO MY HOUSE LAST WEEK. THEY DIDN'T TAKE MY TV, JUST THE REMOTE. NOW THEY DRIVE BY AND CHANGE THE CHANNELS ON IT. THE SICK BASTARDS!!! THE AGONY OF AGING….ON THE MORNING THAT DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDED I STOPPED IN TO VISIT MY AGING FRIEND. HE WAS BUSY COVERING HIS PENIS WITH BLACK SHOE POLISH. I SAID TO HIM, "YOU BETTER GET YOUR HEARING CHECKED - YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TURN YOUR CLOCK BACK". VIDEO SCAM….JUST GOT SCAMMED OUT OF $25. I BOUGHT A TIGER WOODS DVD ENTITLED "MY FAVORITE 18 HOLES". TURNS OUT IT'S ALL ABOUT GOLF. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY! PASS THIS ON SO OTHERS DON'T GET SCAMMED. PREGNANT PROSTITUTE…DOCTOR ASKS A PREGNANT PROSTITUTE, "DO YOU KNOW WHO THE FATHER IS?" HEY DUMB ASS, SHE REPLIED, IF YOU ATE A CAN OF BEANS WOULD YOU KNOW WHICH ONE MADE YOU FART ????.10 points

When one whittles a peice of wood, they don't cut all the material off in one chunk, nor do they cut even large peices; but instead small thin slices. Liberty can't be cut out at once but small parts, over time, peice by peice until we are left with.....nothing. Doesn't seem like squat to us in TN.7 points

Yep, because all bad guys have carry permits and won't go there if we make their permit invalid. :shake: Morons.6 points

After getting some advice from TGO members about pistols with full left hand controls, my Wife and I made a visit to a couple of lgs and looked at the FNS9C, M&P9C, and the P320 Compact. The winner was the Sig P320 with the M&P a close second. My Wife is hoping to save so we can pick it up sometime in January or February. What she doesn't know is that I have already planned on this. Business is good and we are Blessed to be in a very good time of our lives. There will be one more gift under the tree for Christmas morning. I'm safe posting this here for now because she hasn't started visiting TGO. I would expect that to change sometime soon. Thank you all for your advice and input. I hope that everyone has a Very Merry Christmas full of Blessings. Bob5 points

it wasn't hard to figure out who my secret santa was. the "man crate" of bbq items will certainly raise my game with the wife's family coming in this weekend. the pouch, pmags and vfg are awesome, but no one has been willing to let me try the iv out yet. will have to wait for the wife's family. the note is what gave away the identity though. this is a guy you want to party with. thanks santa!3 points

When it comes to being a total dick, I got some of my own reciprocity3 points
-
So they are limiting conceal carry reciprocity while they are still an open carry without a permit state? That's just silly. I guess the next time work takes me up there I'll just air out my Glock rather than conceal something.3 points

Wonder how LE is supposed to enforce between Bristol, VA and Bristol, TN. Petition for a wall down the middle of State Street with metal detectors at the pass through portals? Nonsensical ravings of a lunatic mind2 points

YES. Commercial supressors are on either form 3(dealer transfer) or form 4.2 points

I'm hoping to be back in the "lifted, pavement pounding, cost more than my first house" truck club soon. You won't find me posting how much it cost or how many luxury items it has, though. Ya'll are a hard bunch.2 points

You can be deemed okay to carry if you give them $100. I guess that's better than the $300 Illinois wants. Money can fix anything.2 points

Finally was able to get my order cancelled and a refund put in motion. I will not make this mistake with this pos company again. Just a heads up, they are now going under the name AWC2 points

Removing the disconnect is very simple. One pin pressed into the trigger. Pop it out and the disconnect is gone. For most of us, this makes the trigger much better and not worth going further. A full on trigger job is going to be expensive. Most smiths change the sear lever location, which means they drill a new hole and relocate the sear. Then they have to hand fit the sear, disconnect etc. It also necessitates a refinish. It is not possible to drop in sears and disconnects without a knowledgeable smiths watchful eye. Short of a full blown trigger job, I've found removing the mag disconnect and adding a Cylinder and Slide combat trigger (wider and better curve) feels as good as most of the smith trigger jobs I've felt. Both those enhancements you can do yourself. Sam Hoster is who I'd go with if you went the smith route.1 point

This bit of lunacy brought to you by the same state that accepts online training for purposes of obtaining their state-issued permit...just sayin...1 point

As I understand it (but I could very well be wrong), a reciprocity agreement falls apart if one party reneges... I would expect that, within a year's time, VA permit holders pretty much wont be able to carry into any contiguous states. I live only 300 yds from the VA state line - and, as others have pointed out, VA is (for now) an OC w/o permit state...guess the Springer gets to see the light of day on northerly excursions. Given the rabid anti-2A histories of Herring and McAuliffe, this will likely be but the tip of the iceberg. While it will be difficult at present for them to eliminate permitless OC, I do expect considerable pressure from them to make OC as uncomfortable - and as unwelcome - as they can.1 point

Now Weber City, just across the state line from Kingsport, will be writing tickets for window tint, lifted trucks and no carry permit.1 point

You are correct, Sergey Gorskov said this. I simplified and southernized the aphorism slightly as most Muricans from the south tend to do.1 point

I ordered one from Dodge with a standard transmission. 10 days before delivery they contact me to let me know that the transmission didn't meet whatever government standards, and it would be several more months before they could get it tested and certified. This had to of meant that for that new year model, none of them were rolling off the line with standard transmissions. So I tell them, "Fine, throw an automatic transmission in it and charge me the difference to be paid on delivery. They say they would have to redo the whole order, which would take an additional two months (it had been two months since placing my order). So I tell them to hold on, went down to the Dodge dealership and handed them the invoice for the order. I told them if you sell me a quad cab for the number on the invoice, I'll buy it today. The sales manager kept wanting to meet in the middle, which was 4k over what my invoice was. I guess this dumbass thought that I was willing to spend $4,000 out of impatience. So after arguing this idiot, and taking a new truck at 8k below sticker, I call up the Dodge folks to cancel my order and get my down payment back. Still wish it was a standard transmission.1 point

I've been in the market for my first one for the past couple months. Finally won an auction on Gunbroker yesterday for a G2 Contenden super 14 in 7-30 waters. Excited about getting it and looking for all the info I can get on the cartridge. Oh and it also has a Ultra red dot sight on it. Don't think the ammo is going to be on the shelf at many of the big box sporting good stores though so I ordered some dies.1 point

Very very true....which is why you see lifted trucks running around everywhere. 9 times out of 10 they are pavement pounders that wouldn't ever see a gravel road let alone actual mud or woods.1 point

That is a YHM Phantom M2. It's a .30 cal, not really intended for .22 but it works great. I am going to buy a dedicated .22 suppressor that can be taken apart and cleaned as .22 is so dirty. Sealed cans can fill up with lead and become less effective over time. So I don't shoot too much .22 through it. The process isn't hard, just have to be patient. I went through Mike @ Lawenforcementsales. He's a vendor here his shop is in Oak Ridge. He's on the hey between Kingston and Oak Ridge, very close to you. Send him a message and he'll be happy to talk to you about the process. Great guy1 point
