this story can't be true. the news tells me criminals get their guns through a loophole in the gun show laws, or order them on the internet without a background check.11 points

Why? So innocent people will die and ISIS can celebrate it as a failing of western society?5 points

We all know and love this photo. It was taken 71 years ago on Feb 23rd. This is on Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima. The flag was raised by five Marines and a sailor. In a nod to the Army and Air Force, there are a couple of pics of them below. The pic below is from the Battle of Midway. Midway was the turning point of the war in the Pacific.3 points

No loss of human life is to be celebrated. It was built by the Swiss, Germans and Italians - who no doubt profited handsomely.3 points

Or you can skip the grass seed and just spread straw and tell everybody "it's growing". No mowing. :D3 points

Grass is something I always want to develop some expertise in, but never quite get around to getting up to par. Couple that with my general laissez faire attitude towards yard maintenance, and you can imagine the state my lawn is in at any given time.3 points

EXCELLENT question to ask. Anyone who doesn't seriously consider this is asking for trouble, IMHO. As one who also switches a lot, I feel 100% sure I can draw and fire any of the handguns in my rotation. It helps that I avoid buying guns with manual safeties and would never even consider carrying any of mine that do have a manual safety. Also, I practice drawing whichever one I'm carrying several times before I leave the house, so I don't get caught off guard. I wonder how many people would get fouled up by something as simple as changing from an unbuttoned cover garment to a pullover to a zip-up jacket. Switching from OWB to IWB or pocket carry seems more risky to me than switching from one gun to another when the carry method stays the same.2 points

I have TFOs on my XD-s and had them on 2 other previous guns. They are hands down my favorite handgun sights. If they made them for CZs, I'd buy a set for all 7 or 8 of my CZs.2 points

Looks to me like we should enact a safe hammer law outlawing any hammer over 1ounce-after all no one needs these assault hammers2 points

WW2 ended on August 15, 1945. The US Army Air Force didn't become the US Air Force until September 18, 1947. The USAF did fly the P-51 Mustang though, well into Korea when they were replaced by the new-fangled jet fighters by the end of 1953. They saw some limited service in specialty roles up through the 1960s, but very few.2 points

Please reserve your "Don't Tread On Me" specialty Tennessee license plate. When done, please share this post or picture with everyone and anyone. Comms will like this Article, I like the comments: http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/2/26/keefe-report-seriously-is-the-40-sw-dead/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=insider&utm_campaign=0316 So what do you think, has 9mm really gotten that much better or are we just witnessing a budget driven choice? I have carried a .40 almost since it's inception, done the whole wet phone book test (mid 80s) on it along with 9mm and .45 and just can't get past the fact that even though 9mm projectiles may of gotten better, the same can be said for the .40 and .45. My decision to stay with a .40 for an EDC is simple, bigger bullet with a better mag capacity.1 point

I know and am friends with a few LEO's in different counties and generally they tell me that they decide if they will give a ticket before they get out of there vehicle so as to be impartial. But it's not uncommon to change their mind one way or another depending on how the interaction goes.1 point

I bought a set of brackets from a seller on ebay. They arrived and were out of spec to the point they couldn't be used. I contacted the seller who blew me off, filed a claim with eBay. They gave me a prepaid shipping label to send the items back to the seller, then when the tracking number showed the seller had them eBay refunded my money. I suspect in your case they'll ask the seller for proof of delivery, he won't have it, you'll get a refund.1 point

SHADE + TREES = no grass. Will be frustrating and waste of money. do what peejman said.1 point

30x30? No grass. Make a flowerbed. Plant low maintenance, shade tolerant perennials such as hosta, ferns, bleeding heart, coleus, spirea, astilbe, etc. They'll fill in and choke out the weeds in a few years. Mulch it in the spring before everything comes out and it's pretty with essentially zero maintenance all summer.1 point

i disagree. it simply is not the case. robert has the correct answer. as prices have steadily risen from manufacturers/producers (due in some part to .gov regulations), retailers have tried to do what they can to keep costs down on the shelf. this includes everything that has been mentioned and other things that may not be noticed. check out a can of mixed fruit. the number of cherries in each can is controlled to keep prices down.1 point

I love SLR Rifleworks products and like others have said before the adjustable gas blocks are completely worth it. I put a titanium one on my AR15 with a Proof barrel and love it. https://youtu.be/el81LPKQAEA1 point

Some govt services are higher in TN, but we don't have state income tax. That's a pretty big deal. Hunting licenses are high as well. All in all, I'll take the bigger paycheck over occasional expenses being lower. Welcome to Tennesee!1 point
