I'll say it again, most every time somebody names a "worst movie". That ain't even in the neighborhood of the ballpark of being the worst movie ever. If you think so, you just haven't seen very many movies "in your 40+ years"! - OS2 points

American Reloading. https://www.americanreloading.com/en/ Their prices fluctuate with sales. They have been having various 50% off inventory reduction sales so some stuff is out of stock but their prices are normally good anyways. I've bought brass and bullets from them before. They are good to go but can take a week or two to ship. Accuracy wise, I have used plated bullets from several sources and they are all about the same. I dont measure pistol groups, just shoot at paper and steel.2 points

That is by far [not] the worst movie ever. Have you ever seen Human Centipede? If not, don't go looking for it.2 points

There's nothing about being a Muslim that has anything to do with race. It's a lifestyle choice. A man don't choose to be white, black, Jew or puerto rican. He DOES choose to follow a given religion. Or in this case, a cult. I despise Islam and the fact that there may be some who ignorantly follow that contemptuous filth who are decent enough folks is irrelevant. It doesn't change the fact that it's the only religion of any consequence that daily shows its evil nature. I don't care what God a fella wants to follow but when it destroys lives it should be treated in kind. Kill it. No religion is without some dirt on their hands but you don't see Buhddists, Taoists or Hindus acting like this. AND despite their checkered past, Christians don't act like this either. I will go on record too as saying IF the Christian (so called) church wanted to act like they did in the dark ages, I'll be first in line to say put the Pope on the end of a rope and shove a cross up a bible thumpers butt. But I won't have to because they don't act like that. It's clearly evident that race is not a factor here. Middle eastern Muslims, African Muslims...Jihad John...the list goes on. All walking peices of human fecal matter. .2 points

Made my decision long ago. Religions were invented by superstitious men thousands of years ago. Is there some kind of intelligence involved in all that exists? Yes, there's got to be or nothing would exist. What is the meaning of the universe and all that exists? I have no freaking idea.1 point

My only ar is a 20" 6.8. Shoots nice. Not any diff in recoil vs 223 and extra mass in the bullet! Get the PRI mags. They work. A 223 mag can work but you can't fill it up....1 point

That's exactly how Cormac wrote it in novel, the last we see or hear of Chigurh. Though the novel goes on a brief bit more regarding the sheriff meeting with his uncle and then describing a last dream, stuff that was transposed to earlier in the film. I thought the film ended actually a bit more appropriately, thematically for a movie that is, in that it leaves the idea that Chigurh, badly damaged, still survives to wreak havoc another day, just like Evil itself does in reality. - OS1 point

Get an ARP Superbolt with your choice of carrier or a Stag BCG if you want high quality 6.8 stuff. Something to be aware of, the LWRC 68 stuff is not quite the same - mags are different and I believe the receivers are too.1 point

Maybe I'm tired, but based on that math so are you. :) 7000 grains in one pound, divided by your example of 5 grains a round is 1400 rounds per pound of powder. That doesn't affect the cost of that pound, just the grains for your load affects the price per round and total number of rounds loaded. FWIW, the last pistol powder I have bought (TiteGroup, W231, and CFE Pistol) have all been less than $22 per pound in the last 2 years and usually only $20/#.1 point

I told someone something along those lines a while back. You'd have thought I punched them in the face....it was funny. A lifetime of Christian doctrine has taught me there's only two options. Heaven or hell. I sure hope that's wrong. If God really loves us, there's gotta be a third option. No one in their right mind wants to burn in a lake of fire. On the other hand, if even half the Christians I've met here in the Bible Belt are to be found in heaven, I ain't interested in that either cause that heaven....it's just hell with air conditioning.1 point

Sportsmans Guide got a container in about a month ago, when they ran it at $284 per crate it sold out quickly. As far as I know that's the first shipment on 7.62x54R that's made it here in well over a year with no more due in in the foreseeable future ...1 point

... especially when the reverend Abdul is telling everybody to lop off your head if you don't join up. I don't think anybody on here wants to see innocents die. The jokes are in the same spirit as the ones about California sliding into the ocean. I have good friends in California. But, if it breaks off and slides into the ocean, the percentage of assholes in this country will decrease significally (tragic as it would be).1 point

I think you made a great choice getting the M39 and un-issued Yugo SKS. There is certainly nothing wrong with the VKT. Anything the Fins did, they did well. I can't speak for the quality of the Chinese SKS's. I'm not knocking them, I'm not familiar with them. The best deal on ammo for your M39 will be the old stuff. Always consider that ammo corrosive. Corrosive isn't a big deal. I handle that by using a mixture of Ammonia and water, running a damp swab down the barrel will neutralize the corrosive salts. That is all that I do. Damp swab, not soaking. You don't want to get the ammonia on parts outside of the barrel. I then run a damp plain water one. A lot of people deal with the corrosive ammo differently, I learned the way I do it from someone who makes a living with old guns. Next, you'll have to get the cosmoline off of the guns. The best way I have found is to go to the hardware store and get a length of three inch pipe, a cap, the glue to seal it and a gallon of mineral spirits. All the metal part can go in the mineral spirits bath for a few days and then they are easy to clean. **IMPORTANT** The SKS has a free floating firing pin. Most likely, the mineral spirits bath won't get the cosmoline out. You should hear a little clicking when you shake the firing pin assembly, which is the firing pin moving back and forth. If you can't hear this more action is needed or THE GUN WILL NOT BE SAFE TO SHOOT. I dealt with this by taking the firing pin assembly and putting it in a warm oven. (Not hot but warm) I then used mineral spirits and compressed air. It took two or three rounds, but that took care of it. You can also take the firing pin assembly apart for cleaning, though there is a pin that is hard to get out. Next, I hope you will avoid the mistake I made with my first two C&R's. I had people tell me to take the gun into a hot shower and use a scrub brush and lots of soap. I did this with the stocks and it removed the finish. I enjoy refinishing stocks, so I didn't mind, though I ruined part of the history of the gun. Also, my Yugo has a rough trigger. You can send the trigger group off and someone will improve it for about $60. Some people don't like to do anything at all to the trigger. Below are a few pics of my Yugo.1 point

When I was there in '04 a few of us would participate in the "Operation Pencil Box" where we went to villages and gave school supplies and sports equipment to kids. I really respected the fact that my Seniors understood that most of the population didn't give a dang if Hussien, US Soldiers or any other people were there, they just wanted to survive till the next day. It was a great opportunity to talk with village elders and general population. It's funny that I couldn't recall where any of the combatants that received my teams lead or we captured were Iraqi - the SIR reports almost always showed they were from another country. He'll many times we raided housing due to intelligence from the locals, they knew who wasn't from the area. Bought many a watermelons from farmers who for generations toiled the same earth for rich landowners, these guys kids will be doing what their father and grandfather did on that land. I've seen and cleaned up civilian vehicles ran over by tanks and thought - my brothers needed help, tank took the shortest route - I'm sorry this happened, wish it didn't but sadly brothers in uniform comes first. Not bragging, but I was the only CC that had an M249 as a primary and have used up more drums than I can remember. It breaks my heart that I have several battle buddies who choose to be on the streets, couldn't cope with all that happened. But to this day, those of us that are able to stay the path, those that have taken to the streets and those that have lost the will and took what arguably could be considered the weak mans route would not wish harm on the civilians in Iraq.1 point

Much as we might like to believe it, the ISIS leaders aren't stupid. Would they care that tens of thousands of their own died? Not a lick. Would they blame it all on the west? You bet your ass they would. "Look at how the monument of the west collapses and murders our innocent women, children, and infirm..." And it would only get worse from there. In addition to being the worst disaster of its sort, it would also be the biggest propaganda coup of all time.1 point
