  1. My squad leader in 'Nam, Kenneth E. Stumpf, a Medal of Honor recipient, has final stage pancreatic cancer. His son called me, said the dr. gave him 2 weeks. After I was severely wounded, he came in and got me out under fire, along with 2 other guys. I probably would have bled out if not for that. Hell of a guy & soldier. Heavy heart. He will be missed by all that knew him.

  6. I have a very old Kentucky flintlock rifle. My father, George D. Locke, bought this piece at an auction in the 1950s or 1960s, I believe. It has a little description that he must have cut out from the auction catalog which says, " An exquisite flintlock Kentucky rifle with 65 silver inlays including spread eagle on the cheek piece. The barrel bears the name of D. Locke in script on an inlaid plate on the barrel. This is a full maple stocked tiger striped rifle with lockplate and hammer fully engraved. Rifle about 50 calibers with heavy octagon barrel. Age has demanded some repairs to the wood, which has been done expertly and proper. A most graceful Kentucky in very good condition." I am seeking information on this rifle and its approximate value. Hoping someone can help provide more information on this type of rifle and its approximate value for insurance purposes. Thank you, M. Evans

  10. Hmmm. This reminds me of an issue that the 365XL was having when it first came out, but it had to do with the disconnector. The shape of the part in the early 365xls was more angular and it caused it to be difficult to rack the slide. I ended up replacing the disconnector with a P365 disconnector and the gun worked much better. I suppose SIG fixed this later.

  20. 115gr Winchester white box, but I don't think it's the ammo. The 2 misfired rounds shot fine from 2 other guns.

  24. I got a G3C for a good price during Black Friday and have put about 300 rounds through it. Had 2 malfunctions on the first day (light primers strikes that the touted second strike capability still failed to fire) but it's been flawless since. Yes, 300rds aren't a lot but ammo is expensive. It runs fmj and jhp just fine. I actually like the ergonomics quite a bit - I have small hands.

  25. Did you take a look at some of the other things this 'winner' has bought very recently? All relatively pricey, several thousand range! Same pattern, comes in last day willing to pay more than anyone else would. Could be washing his cash no doubt, crypto millionaire , recent stocks or ???. Whatever it is, it actually looks legit we just cant relate as we have a pretty darn different relationship with money than he seems to. 27. Yea what Red said, soy product in insulation. I had a friend back 10 years ago that went to crank his fairly new Tundra and it wouldn't even click, towed to dealer and they said he need a new wiring harness, he said splice it and tape it up. Chipmunks are also pretty much a menace!!

  28. A couple of questions, please..... a) Is this an original piece or a contemporary reproduction? Normally, the name on the barrel, usually in script, is where the maker indicates who made the rifle. You said your dad was named Geo D Locke and the name on the barrel is "D Locke." Is this a coincidence that the maker and your dad had similar name or did your dad have it added after he bought it? b) What is the barrel length c) is the ram rod still with it? d) Any chance of a picture?? I know several contemporary builders and collectors and a picture would be needed for any type of estimate. thanks Mark
