I have supported them all along but this will make some feel better.... Posted on Facebook roughly 30mins ago "REGARDING LEO SALES March 1st, 2013 Back in 1990, when I was deployed in Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a Marine grunt, some companies prioritized me items for my M16 for shipping that I purchased with my own funds. After getting out and forming Magpul in 1999, I established the same priority policy for Military and Law Enforcement, due to the requirements of their profession. The same policy has been in place for 13 years now and has never been an issue until a few days ago. I do not support the idea that individual police officers should be punished for the actions of their elected officials. That said, I understand the concerns that some have with Law Enforcement officers getting special treatment while at the same time denouncing second amendment rights to another citizen in the same state. With the fight in Colorado right now we do not have time to implement a new program, so I have suspended all LE sales to ban states until we can implement a system wherein any Law Enforcement Officer buying for duty use will have to promise to uphold their oath to the US Constitution - specifically the second and fourteenth amendments - as it applies to all citizens. Hey guys, I searched around for a while and did not see many pics out there of a cerakoted PM9 so I thought I would throw up a pic of my "New" Kahr. I have carried this puppy for several years and the stainless was starting to show some wear and decided to change colors a bit. I found Jack over at Old Hickory Gunsmithing and asked him to cerakote my Kahr. He did an awesome job and this looks just as good as any factory finish I have seen. I REALLY like the new look and it definitely toned down the shine of the stainless slide.2 points

I copied this from another forum. Hey Choir, more ammo: ... in Chicago, Illinois. Hmmmm.... why do you suppose we never hear about this on the evening news??? 446 school age children shot in Chicago in 2012 The city with the strongest gun laws in country – media silent!. The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media. In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in the leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago since the end of 2012. So, why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago ’s tough gun laws? Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities? Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light? Amazingly, no Obama crocodile tears either. For those of you have not gotten the point of this post yet, it’s to make the point about gun laws. No matter how tough the gun laws are, the crazed, nut jobs will find a way to get them and if they so chose, use them. No draconian law can stop this, no matter how well intentioned the law is, or if it’s just about leftists grabbing power from citizens and taking away their constitutional rights. 446 School Age Children Shot in Chicago so Far This Year THE LIST OF SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN SHOT IN 2012 by age: • 18 year old- 110 • 17 year old- 99 • 16 year old- 89 • 15 year old- 62 • 14 year old- 39 • 13 year old- 21 • 12 year old- 10 • 11 year old- 2 • 10 year old- 3 • 9 year old- 1 • 7 year old- 3 • 6 year old- 2 • 5 year old- 1 • 4 year old- 1 • 3 year old- 1 • 1 year old- 2 Wow, is Illinois and Chicago great or what? Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago? Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago. (Meanwhile, handguns are banned) No concealed carry in Illinois There were 221 killed in Afghanistan, fewer than were killed in Chicago AND Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the entire US. Here’s the Political Cast of Characters from Chicago: President : Barack Hussein Obama Senator: Dick Durbin House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr. (recently resigned) Governor: Pat Quinn House leader: Mike Madigan Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike) Mayor: Rahm Emanuel The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago . Of course, they're all blaming each other. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any! This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he is going to 'fix' Washington politics for us??? George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the big house (Prison). Of course, he was replaced by Rob Blajegovitch who is...that's right, also in the big house. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago. That is because he is fighting being sent to...that's right, the big house.2 points

You don't think HCP holding teachers and staff being able to keep their loaded heaters in the car on school grounds is significant? And HCP holding college students? Previous felony changed to legal behavior seems significant to me. - OS2 points

There is no duty to notify. If he has “a few†years on the job, he shouldn’t really need to go check that. Having been a Police Officer I will notify. I will do it because I respect them, I want a safe stop for everyone involved, I want them on our side, and the pavement around here gets scalding hot during the summer months.2 points

Today, someone asked me which of my guns is my favorite. I said I like my Sig because of the quality and accuracy, my Glock because of its ruggedness and simplicity, etc. Then he said, "If you could only grab one, which would it be?" I thought for a second, and said it would be my 4" Smith & Wesson model 65 revolver in .357 magnum. Simple, rugged, reliable, multiple cartridge choices, and enough power for most needs.1 point

If the bullet type is similar (IE BTHP or Spitzer) I would back off the recommended load 5-10% and work up looking for pressure signs. Basically, the more of the bullet that touches the barrel, the higher your pressure is going to be with a given charge. If you are staying with the same bullet weight, the potential danger would be if you are using load data for a "low drag" bullet but actually loading with a "high drag" bullet such as a round nose or dangerous game bullet. If you are going with load data for a high drag bullet but using a low drag bullet, you are probably OK. So to recap, if the bullet style is a blunt with long straight sides, it is going to generate more pressure than pointy bullet that is tapered. But backing the charge off 10% in either case and working should be safe, given the same bullet weights.1 point

Bamboo is a non-native invasive species in all forms and strains. To say its not your problem when you move is the midset that has us in the spot we are with invasives. It's all our job to help control this. I wouldn't plant kudzu or alanthis, or multi floral rose or japanese privet, and I wouldn't plant bamboo.1 point

The mag and gun manufacturers don't have a say where or who the distributors sell, but the do have a say over what state they make their goods in. If Magpul take on the expense and moves to a more gun friendly state, then that is a major show of support to the 2nd amendment in my eyes and a blow to the state they leave from in jobs and taxes. I just wish ALL of the manufacturers would do this, but I bet you only see a small number do this. Those are the ones we need to support in my opinion.1 point

I agree 100%. I believe we should be able to have belt fed machine guns as well without having to pay a $200 stamp. The point I was making though is that Magpul isn't condoning the decisions of law makers by supplying their product to street cops. I get the sentiment of companies choosing to do that, and I respect it, however, I don't believe choosing not to follow suit makes them traitors or sell outs. I think if they could hit the libs where it hurts they would, and they are by moving a multi million dollar business and its tax revenue to another state.1 point

I'm wearing it now and I LOVE it. As far as Glock guys loving the M&P's, that was one thing that let me know it was a gun I wanted to look at getting. Because most people I know are so partial to Glocks they never get caught up in much else. So it takes a lot for most of them to brag on how much they love another pistol. I already know that this will not be my last M&P!!1 point

@ Mike.357 - Perhaps. I will concede on the cost factor. If California wants to waste their people's tax money on movies it is no skin off my behind. Her gown was priced at retail for 8900.00 I'll assume ( we know how assuming works) Barry paid for it and told her to buy one in every color. No, she didn't fly out there, she was at the White House at a formal dinner for the service men and women standing behind her. Some, if you'll notice in a few of the different screen shots, don't look real pleased. I could be reading more into the dour looks than the actual intent. Harvey Weinstein, the big time Hollywood producer and Obama ass kisser asked her to do it 2 weeks ago. She should have declined, but being a media whore... There is no conspiracy or message. PricewaterhouseCooper's keeps the academy votes under tight secrecy and security and has not had a breech in security for the 76 years they have been counting the votes. Until the envelopes are opened nobody, aside from PwC accountants, knows who won. The last day to vote was the 19th of February, far past when the FLOATUS was asked to be a presenter. However, this is the first year that electronic voting was made available to all members of the academy by a company called Everyone Counts, Inc. You may make your own suppositions.1 point

You can't make a point about the purpose and legitimacy of the Constitution to a crowd of folks who don't believe in the document in the first place. I'm beginning to believe that the majority view the Constitution as an obsolete document that should be rewritten. I've heard a person argue against its legitimacy based on the fact that some of the framers had slaves. This is the kind of hopeless dumbassery we're up against.1 point

Another success story. Personally, I think it should be legal to use deadly force to get your stuff back from someone who won't willingly give it back to you, but in this case the robber shot at him, the manager returned fire an won. It doesn't really matter which way a person is facing when they shoot at you. I hear, according to physics, that bullets travel the direction they are fired, not the direction the shooter is necessarily facing. Give that man a medal. Feed the corpse of the deceased to pigs.1 point

:shake: They also instituted a hook up for CO residents that will trump all those. They want to leave as many mags in CO hands as possible. They have not raised their prices on anyone. You can still get their mags as cheap as you always could. They're going as far as moving their entire operation to a free state. Has anyone else done that? I would save my angst for those companies that are busy raking you over the coals. SGAmmo - $35 for a brick of friggin' .22? CTD - enough said etc, etc, etc. Instead you have people, even on this forum, that said they would continue to support the price gougers if it means they can save a couple dollars later on. You have people on this forum that are raping their fellow Tennesseans and gun owners on guns, magazines, and ammunition. If you want to aim your outrage at anyone, they should be target #1.1 point

Maybe you could wedge is shim the shells a bit? Something like a strip if folded paper that you could wrap around the shell to help give some extra tension and that would fall away when you took the shell out. Just throwing an idea out1 point

Publish the telephone number or the web site for the background check, let any person avail themselves of the use of it, (pay their $10.00 via credit card) and there is no reason to not do a back ground check. Just make sure it runs the background on the person, and not the weapon. Potential purchaser could run a check on the seller if he wanted to, would go a long way to making sure the seller was not a felon as well. Attach the report to the sales receipt for those instances where the seller and the buyer were not well acquainted (I never sell one without a sales receipt, requiring a DL, and keep that on file as well).1 point

I have a SHTF stock pile that I started long before the madness, I will not get into it just for range time. That allows me the luxury of being able to shoot what I find now, with the exception of .22lr. I have several thousand rounds but not knowing when I could replace them I am reluctant to send them down the pipe without something in exchange, i.e. a squirrel, or something else for the cookfire. On a side note, My FIL asked me tonight if I knew where to get some .22, I just chuckled. He told me he finished last box last week. I told him I had not seen any in a few weeks just to keep trying online and checking the stores. Then it happened, he asked if I still had some. I said I had a few, I had searched and found some online about a month ago. he asked if he could have some of mine so he could target shoot some more. He is a die hard democrat and I could not help but laugh as I told him, "that is a democrat for you, you spent al of yours so now you want some of what I have worked for and saved." I asked him how he voted last year, and he grinned and said "you know how I voted" so I told him "you reap what you sow." I also declined to "share the wealth". Does that make me an ass hole?1 point
