  1. Meh. Liam ain't even American, the hell does he know about the founding fathers anyway? I didn't realize he was a historian or biographer... I could have sworn his job was to entertain, kinda like a clown...

  2.   You'd possibly be the only person in the state that would have it on your arm to begin with. :)   But it also begs the question, if you told someone strapped into one to "DROP YOUR WEAPON!!", but he couldn't! :) :)   - OS

  3.   Well, I kinda agree with him.  I think that if the Founding Fathers knew how the 2nd Amendment is being misinterpreted to give the Federal Government the authority to determine the types of firearms The People can own by claiming so-called 'reasonable restrictions' then they would definitely be turning in their graves.  I do think they would be embarrassed to see how the right of The People to keep and bear arms has been taken (and given) away over the course of the last, couple of centuries.  In that way, I guess it is the 'right to bear arms' that is the problem - in that even as clear a statement as the 2nd Amendment is obviously not written clearly enough to keep antis from attempting to usurp that right regardless of what the Constitution actually says.

  7. Boycotting "whatever" is a personal thing. My way of saying screw'em. I figured out a long time ago when I boycotted Exxon because of the Valdez that my measly tank full wasn't going to make a difference to their bottom line, but I felt good doing it and that's all that mattered. And still do.

  11. You are correct, I guess I should of been more specific. The proprietary barrel nut is usually included with most free floats, unless you aquire a used one without one so there are many used delta type ones out there. If you don't like the quads I would get this anyway, you can sell the handguard easily enough and I doubt you find one cheaper even with standard hand guards so it would offset the price of a delta ring and barrel nut purchase. But unless its cosmetics of the guards you dont like, they can come in real handy and with the rubber covers they dont dig into your hand at all.

  13. Rattlesnake Logic         As long as we insist on maintaining the "moral high ground" we will NEVER win the war on terrorism. We're in a conflict in which we absolutely insist in playing by the rules against a group of maniac's who have no rules.         Rattlesnake Logic         After the Boston bombing the news media spent days and weeks trying to determine why these men did what they did. They want to know what America did to make these brothers so angry with us. They want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something so terrible. The media is in a tizzy about this new era of homegrown radicals, and about why they could live among us and still hate us.         A friend of mine from Texas explained it all to me: “Here in west Texas I have rattlesnakes on my place, living among us. I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch. I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch. I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway. In fact, I kill every rattlesnake I encounter.         I kill rattlesnakes because I know a rattlesnake will bite me and inject me with poison. I don’t stop to wonder why a rattlesnake will bite me; I know it will bite me because it's a rattlesnake and that's what rattlesnakes do. I don’t try to reason with a rattlesnake…I just kill it. I don’t try to get to know the rattlesnake better so I can find a way to live with the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me. I just kill them. I don’t quiz a rattlesnake to see it I can find out where the other snakes are, because (a) it won’t tell me, and (b) I already know they live on my place. So, I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one.         I don’t look for ways I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake...I just kill it. Oh, and on occasion, I accidentally kill a rat snake because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time. Also, I know, for every rattlesnake I kill, two more are lurking out there in the brush. In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my place of rattlesnakes. Do I fear them? No!         Do I respect what they can do to me? Yes! And because of that respect I give them the fair justice they deserve.... I kill them...”         Maybe as a country we should start giving more thought to the fact that these jihadists' are just like rattlesnakes, and act accordingly!         I love this country with all my Heart and Soul; it's OUR GOVERNMENT I'm afraid of.

  15. I hate dealing with my local UPS store. They tend to have a "holier than thou" attitude & have extra fees for shipping from the store. I usually ship my parts by USPS Priority mail. It costs less, comes insured w/tracking, is faster, & they don't hastle you over what's in the box. If you want to use UPS you have the option of printing up a shipping label & dropping it off with a delivery driver, which I have done in the past. It's usually cheaper & most drivers are friendlier to deal with. Like another member said, you can also tell them it's tools or machine parts. I don't like the idea of telling lies, but IMO it's none of their business anyway as long as you're not shipping something illegal.

  19. Well, if I were presented with such an enviable task, my response would also definitely be something with a cylinder, nice grips and some tasteful engraving.  Then, again, as it is for your 50th, maybe something like this would be appropriate:   http://store.samsguns.com/RUGER-50th-ANNIVERSARY-BLACKHAWK-357-MAG-44-MAG-USED-A9008-12-A9009-12.htm   Matched set of 50th anniversary Ruger Blackhawks, one in .357 and the other in .44 Mag.  Serial numbers both have the same last three digits.  Says they are used but that they are unfired.  You could easily rectify the latter part of that statement.

  23. Aggravating. I'll continue to watch his films because most of them are entertaining. I watched "Non Stop" two or three times in the same week. I understand that many don't want to "support" such dissenters, but in truth the only thing that would make a difference would be to boycott the entire media industry as a whole. Sure, you have some "pro-gun" actors and tv shows, but do you honestly not accept that even from those the anti-gun media industry makes money? Now, hypocritical of them to do so in cases such as this? Yes. But as stated above, I feel there are many "pro-gun" actors that are publicly "anti-gun" because that is what it takes to make it in the industry. Hypocritical? Yes. How many of you are going to up and quit your job today just because you cannot carry at work? Why? Because that's what it takes to make it at your employer. How many of you are going to move out of state or out of country because of the lack of constitutional carry, the NFA, etc? No, I bet all of you will be pulling out your checkbook or typing in your routing and bank account numbers in order to pay the IRS. Why? Because that's what it takes to make it in this country. Lets accept the fact that there are plenty of actors/actresses that grew up wanting to be an actor/actress. They see it as a job. Many of them probably don't care about guns and never wanted to make a decision either way. There is much pressure in the industry to be anti-gun. That "sways' many of them. Granted, it'd be better to see more strong ones stand up and say that guns are not the problem. Also, how many of you regularly listen to AC/DC, The Beatles, Queen, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Metalica, or go to Six Flags, Disney, Dollywood, Walmart, Amazon.com, Sportman's Warehouse, or Gander Mountain? Agree 100% with all of their views politically and ethically? All I'm saying is that if you are going to boycott artists or retailers for some of their views on guns or other important issues, it's going to be a very large list of places you cannot go and artists you can enjoy and a very, very small list of places you can go and artists to listen to while going there.

  31. So, I heard an unverified story that this past Friday in Oak Ridge two MOH recipients were brought in on Black-hawk helicopters to the local high school. When they flew in, they buzzed over Y12, which sent them into high alert and they locked the place down.   I know the guys were in town, I heard the lead up to the ceremony on the radio. They held it at the Y12 auditorium. I just don't know how accurate the flyover story is.

  32. I don't have any first hand experience with their products, but "Dr.Bones (Joe Alton) and Nurse Amy (Amy Alton)" are regulars on Jack Spirko's "Survival Podcast" and are frequent contributors to Backwoods Home magazine. They are a decent information source and generally pretty informative and entertaining during their podcasts and Youtube vids.   I find their pricing on their kits kind of high. But everything is put together for you.     I generally purchase my Med Gear from:   http://www.chiefsupply.com/chief-one-handed-combat-application-tourniquet-cat-tactical-black.html   http://www.chinookmed.com/   https://www.mooremedical.com/   http://www.galls.com/     Our own Randy Harris with Suarez Intl runs a great Tac Med oriented course as well. Gotta have some quality training to go with that quality gear.

  39.   The AK ones sure seem to, but firing one of the original SlideFire stocks that my uncle has, I was able to keep it on target just fine.  The cyclic is probably 100rpm slower than an M4 on full auto (if I had to guess) and it makes it much more manageable.  Kinda like the slow cycle on a M45/Swedish K on full auto versus an MP5.  As for the video, they put a 100 pound girl in yoga pants who can't even hold the rifle properly to demonstrate their product.  If they wanted to show how it could be accurately fired with stability, they would have put a dude on there.   I feel pretty insulted by that marketing ploy.  If we're going to objectify women to sell men products, at least put them in something low cut so we can see their boobs jiggle.
