1.         One day God was looking down at earth and         saw all of the rascally retirees' behavior that was going on...                   So He called His angels and sent one to earth for a time.                    When the angel returned, he told God,'Yes, it is bad on earth;         95% of retirees are misbehaving and only 5% are not.                    God thought for a moment and said, 'Maybe I had better send         down a second angel to get another opinion.'                               So God called another angel and sent her to earth for a time.                 When the angel returned, she went to God and said, 'Yes, it's true.         The earth is in decline; 95% of retirees are misbehaving, but 5% are         being good...'                    God was not pleased.                   So He decided to e-mail the 5% who were good, because he wanted         to encourage them, and give them a little something to help them         keep going.  Do you know what the e-mail said?                    Okay, I was just wondering, because I didn't get one either.

 4. Yeah, imagine what will happen in the real world when a kid pulls out a gun in school. Even if they want to turn it over they will go to jail, get expelled and likely ruin their lives. This is really irresponsible for the maker to post.

 7. First, 4 LEO's were attacked and killed in Lakewood Washington, then 2 in Las Vegas, now 2 more in New York. There's way to much crap talk about police brutality, racism, and white privilege in the news and on TV by the likes of Sharpton and his kind stoking the fires in the minds of these killers. This is creating this scenario of hate crimes with police being shot dead, white's in St. Louis being beat to death with hammers and more violence in the streets of America than we can keep up with on the news. Then we always see the hands off by Sharpton and his cronies as they "denounce" the violence they knew their words would instill. After stirring the pot, in other words, he tries to wipe the spoon clean of prints. This happens every time.

 8. Bratton is probably one of the most respected top cops in the world; yet he hasn't said much. He needs to get out in front of this, or pick a side if you want to call it that. I understand that he serves at the pleasure of the Mayor, but it's not like he needs to worry about a job. I don't think the cops will or should strike. That will only result in deaths, injuries and property damage of the innocent citizens. We are watching a battle between cops and criminals. The criminals and the people that make their living off racism are trying to paint this as a race issue; it is not. Cops are going to use whatever force they need when they are attacked or resisted. They are going to shoot first (hopefully) when a weapon is pointed at them; just as any of us would do. The cops will when this battle, but until the politicians step up and call these criminals what they are; the battle will drag on.

 9. The mayor is an epic failure (In a free country at least), if there is no recall procedure on the books the people should demand one be put in place, meanwhile the best thing for him to do is step down. That won't happen though, slimeballs of this scale never hold themselves accountable.    inmo

 10. I have used the rubber grips on mine and love the ones with the finger slots. It made a 50+% better feel of the factory grips. If you don't want the finger grips but still would like to bulk up the grips for a better feel, buy a bicycle inner tube and cut it to fit and it will also add better feel to the gun. I have done that on a couple of my other smaller semi autos such as my Phoenix 22's and it helps a lot with grip on them also. That's about all I can tell you. You may want to try these less costly ideas before going to high end wooden grips..........................jmho

 11. Sup fellas. Just wanted to let any other Rutherford county and surrounding area folks know about this new shop. I don't work there, and this is just me sharing my positive experiences. It's at 164 S Lowry Street, just about across the street from the Tomlin car dealership and just up from Enon Springs. I think they're open til 6 weekdays and 7 on Saturday, I don't remember their Sunday hours. Anywho, it's a small shop, but they have a pretty good and growing inventory of good guns. They've got the standard Glocks, Rugers, Smiths, Kahrs, and the budget HiPoint or two, but I didn't see any garbage. (I respect the HPs as generally being a reliable firearm for those not blessed with the budget for style from their self defense weapons.) They also have the new H&K VP line, and some other cool items. Right now they have some factory engraved Ruger SP101 357s that are pretty nifty. They also have a full line of the Just Right carbines... something I'll be looking into more deeply soon. ;-) Their ammo selection is smaller right now, and always changing. I've been there three times and so far I have always found a box or two of ammo at a price that beats Academy and Wally and snagged it. Today it was a box of Federall 115gr JHP 9mm for $12.99 and Hornady 180gr XTP 10MM for $21.99. I only bought one of each, because that's all there was. ;-) They have a crap load of Spike's lowers, both stripped and complete with varying Magpul furniture. There were a couple uppers and other parts, lpks, etc, but I didn't look too closely. Pmags are a dollar or two cheaper than Academy. If you're not buying a few online to save on shipping, you can't beat their prices short of a gun show vendor. I get a 20rd 308 Pmag every time I stop in. :-D My second visit was to receive my S&W M&P10 I had transferred in. They knew me when I hit the door and the transaction was near immediate. Very nice people here. I'm terrible with names and feel bad that I don't remember theirs, but they already know me by name. There is a super nice lady that is pretty much always there, and I believe her husband has a regular full time job but is there when he's not working, and there has been another nice gentleman there on two of my visits. They are not pushy, but are just as ready to let you handle any firearm you want and happy to show you what's new. Ummm.... they had some Glock Tshirts and others for like $13-15 I think, and have some nicer cases/range bags. They have a small assortment of holsters right now, and while I was there they were putting together an order for more... I have an IWB for my Shield on the way next week. :-) There's more nice things to say, but I'm tired and have to get up early tomorrow so I'll wind it down for now. If you're in the area, stop by and give these folks a visit. They are new and adding to their inventory daily, and are willing to get you whatever you want. Oh, transfers are $15 +tics! $10 +tics for LE and I think emergency responders, but don't quote me on that. Tell 'em James, the big guy that got the M&P10 transferred in sent ya. :-)

 12. I was looking for a "tactical" type 9MM gun for my collection since I didnt own one and I looked and handled lots of them before landing on a CZ, Quite possibly the best 9MM handgun I ever shot,it holds 20 rounds, its got a 4# trigger in SA mode and actually hits the bulleyes with my eyes closed  I cant say enough good things about the P09. Its built like a tank,I cant think of any polymer gun I have ever felt that was this beefy ,the slide is super thick and the frame is ultra tough. I promise if you never tried a CZ you should i know you'll own one after giving one a run for its money..best of all it was 500 bucks OTD

 18. Pay for just the channels you want.... Used to be that way back in the late 80's thru early 90's if you had a C-band dish. IIRC, Weather Channel was .50/month, USA Network .85/month, ESPN/ESPN2/EPSN News 2.50/month.  My monthly bill was around $8  :pleased:  ahh the good old days.. then along came the pizza dish with no equipment to maintain and the masses were thrilled.

 22. Yes he is. Liberals are failures everywhere they rule.   DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP!   What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?   Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1961   Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn’t elected one since 1954   Cincinnati, OH (3rd)… since 1984   Cleveland, OH (4th)… since 1989   Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican Mayor   St. Louis, MO (6th)…. since 1949   El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican Mayor   Milwaukee, WI (8th)… since 1908   Philadelphia, PA (9th)… since 1952   Newark, NJ (10th)… since 1907     Einstein once said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and always expecting different results.” Liberals just don't get it.

 25. My ruger lc9 started doing that. A new magazine seems to have fixed it. But sounds like you have problems with multiple mags.

 26. I would first suspect a mag catch spring. Second would be the mag catch itself. Seems like those would be the most likely potential issues since it happens with different mags.

 27. Seems to be Dish's SOP for contract negotiations.  Also gives Dish a way to gauge the value of a particular channel....  more people complaining = more valuable channel.  I just wish they'd offer channels a la carte, or perhaps break it down into much smaller groups of related channels.  I'm glad it offers a user customized guide so I only see the channels I want to see and don't have to scroll through page after page of crap.

 28.   Thanks for posting this Mikey.     As Eric88 says, this a darn good explanation of why the Beretta 9, in it's current and projected new configuration will probably be around for a while longer.   Costs and time involved to switch to a new weapon would be astronomical.   Of course,  little things like cost haven't stopped things like it from happening before.

 38.   I have been trying to avoid that because my wife keeps asking too.... Guess it is time for me to add it all up and see how far I was off my quick estimate....   Sig brace - $125 Phase 5 buffer kit - $75 Barrel - $125 Rail - $140 BCG - $90 BAD selector - $65  KAW comp - $40 Receivers - $90 LPK with ALG trigger - $75 Other parts (charging handle, dust cover, bolt release, handstop, etc) - think $50ish   So that is $900ish without counting the sling (free from neighbor), light and sights (moved from carbine). I told the wife earlier I thought about $700   :stunned:   I took several months, buying parts spread out. And picked up several Black Friday deals to finish the build. I could have completed this a lot cheaper but I had a specific idea in my head - built around this rail which is the most expensive item.

 39. We live in the world of the twenty four hour news cycle. I'm certain that many of us had already gotten this dose of reality yesterday when it was worldwide breaking news. As for "The Hive" it was one of the best decisions made by David. The new content page is no longer cluttered by post from the usual suspects ranting about Obama and his monolithic group of black followers hell bent on destroying America. A gun owner can actually read gun related topics now days.

 40. Actually considering the majority of the United States is obese you would cater to the majority of gun owners, not a bad place to be in a market. Perhaps figure out, design and market tactical or self defense accessories for the fluffy fellow.

 41. Never done it and my parents live in Vegas This place looks really really awesome http://shoot.machinegunsvegas.com/collections/fully-automatics scroll on the top tabs for FA pkg's inside and outside, they have a special shoot 25rds from a MP5 and a M4 (M16) for $75.00...LOL, Shoot a AK,M4,UZI,MP5,249 SAW, etc for $575, I'd wager no more than a mag ea, I seen a billboard in LV shoot 50rds in a SAW for $99. They also have a mini gun and there is a reason there's no pkg for it $$$$$$$$$$$$$$, there is a chick shooting it inside on their shooting lanes and its bolted to the ground..LOL I'd gladly pay $1100 for the outdoor VIP pkg, load up the belt feds and I'll shoot the Mini Gun, M60 and 249 (1000,200,200rds ea) Oh and that all adds up to less than 1 minute of trigger time!

 42. Okay......I bought myself a Christmas present. But, heck, I've been a very good boy this year!! Found this SLR-96 still new in the box. Something punctured the box over the years and created a slight blemish along the wood grip near the thumbhole--but otherwise she is absolutely pristine. Also came with the factory magazine, rod and cleaning kit, oil bottle, sling and original manual.

 45. I feel the same. He's determined to "get back" at those mean voting Americans that has caused so much injustice to his people. His plans are to take this country down several more notches during the short time he has left. If the republican leadership doesn't show any backbone after the first of the year expect the country to slide even more into the sewer.
