  1. Our son, who is finally back from Africa from deployment, came up with his wife and our brand new granddaughter on Wednesday. They where not here for 4 hours and the baby spiked a fever of 103.Off to the ER. Got admitted to Childrens. And she is still there..They think its a stomach virus. She is so tiny yet and it breaks my heart seeing her with a big ole IV and stuff. Son and daughter-in-law of course are worried to death. She isn't eating right yet, so another night in the hospital. We worry and it just plain sucks...She is soo sweet and right before she started getting a fever ,Gordon was just having a blast with her Looks like Grandpa Gordy needs a shave..lol

  3. Last year LWRC debuted their PDW at SHOT. I ordered one pretty quickly and have been waiting on them and the ATF. I wanted to do something cool with it since I had seen Modern Outfitters do some really cool stuff. The form 3 cleared today and they finished the coating process. Hope you like .....

  7. But what is not taken into account is the numbers of potential victims from underwear, shoe and printer cartridge bombers.  Just because our current victim numbers are low does not mean we sit back and wait until we have another incident which adds a few more hundred or thousand to the numbers before we do anything about it.  I know there is a fine line between safety/security and freedom, but to dismiss all of what they do would be foolish.  I don't have any solutions to this complex situation, but in todays world its wise to be vigilant and quash any threat that we see.

  9. Wow, that does bring back memories.   Sometimes I forget things like that. We, and by that I do mean myself as well, forget how far we've come in our lifetimes.   I grew up living in grandparents homes. They did have electric lights, but heat and cooking was from wood stoves.   That was in the 50's. And for the youngsters among us, that really wasn't uncommon. Although electricity was available in most areas then, there still were a lot of country/ lower income people and families that didn't heat by it.   So for me, that was an eye-opening comment that triggered lots of old thoughts.   Could I go back to that? If I had to, and if I had the stove to do it. There are makeshift options, but pray that I don't see that anytime soon.

  15.   Yep.   It was stuck in 4x4 low.   They said the transfer motor that switches into/out of the low range is getting weak, plus due to the cold weather it was stuck.   We chose not to replace the motor since there's not much reason to need to go into the low range.   (4x4 high is fine to use.)  Another reason for the decision was the high number of miles on the vehicle (225K).      The charge for work was $86 so we are happy about that!    As I mentioned, they did very quick work.     So in summary, I started the post asking for any feedback on Ewing Bass and I'm glad to say that I had a very pleasant and hassle free experience.   I will definitely consider them in the future for other repairs.

  18. I'm a big little Ceasers fan. I eat a LOT of pizza and LC lets me do that without having to cook my own to save money. For $6.00 I'm home with a hot and ready pepperoni and I get two meals out of it. $3.00 a meal for ready made food is a good thing when you're a bachelor with little skills in the kitchen. :D   I'll probably try a bacon pizza, but by and large I've been over the bacon fad for a few years ago. Bacon is good on a lot of things, but for my money I like my bacon on a plate, served with more bacon, and an extra side of bacon. All the bacon ice creams, chips, etc. are meh IMO.

  22. Hey other ZT350 owners, I've been wanting to get some custom scales for my 350 for a while now.  I really like the scales that VZ Grips are doing for some of the ZT knives.   See the link below.   The problem is right now they are only offering them for the 300's & 560's.   I started emailing them back in August of last year and they told me that they do plan to offer scales for more models in the future but didn't have a time table.     IF you are interested in getting some as well for your 350, shoot them an email asking.   I'm hoping if others show an interest maybe that will help speed them up!       https://vzgrips.com/knives/zt-scales

  23. Come one come all and come shoot some cardboard. Bill will have 5 or 6 great stages, rain or shine. Be there by 12:00 going hot by 12:30. 150 rds should do it but probably only 100, the more the better. New shooters are always welcome. Should be a nice Sunday, keep your fingers crossed, see you there. Walden Ridge Shooting Range 1862 16th Model Rd Manchester,Tn 37355 Members $10 Nonmember $15 This is an IDPA event so concealment is needed. New shooters( to the sport) do not apply on concealment. You'll need 3 magazines (2 will work) and some good holsters.

  32.   If people are dependent on others for help, they're already dead.  This isn't France, it's Tennessee.  We have the ability to defend ourselves and I'm using it.   If it's my time to go because of a bomb, it's my time.  Statically I'm much more likely to be hit by a car, so I'm not sweating it.  But if there is a chance for me to influence an active shooter style terrorist attack, there's going to be brass from my gun on the ground as well as the other fellows.

  35. It's rare that I suggest what other people spend money on, but after this week I will say that my SCC super-z6 tire chains have paid for themselves 10x over this week. They take up so little room in the trunk but once installed I've not had ANY issues getting anywhere all week.(in a 2 wheel drive VW beetle) They are quite perfect for the rare occasion that TN gets snow and much cheaper than a proper set of snow tires.

  37. If they want to stay out in the deep woods and train, or bang a gong and talk to their dead ancestors so be it. If they want to talk about killing folks let them do it. But when the rubber meets the road it will be on like Donkey Kong. I don’t think these folks realize what they will be dealing with when they get out of order.  :puke:

  38. If you argue that all have the same rights then violent or non-violent isn’t an issue. John Hinckley’s lawyers are arguing he is no longer a danger to himself or others so he can go live with his mother. Maybe he should have gun rights. He has already proven that he is willing to shoot multiple people. But hey, a lot of years have passed and he hasn’t shot anyone else. There is already a system in place for convicted felons to get their gun rights back. Some states, like Tennessee refuse to give them back to some. Actions have consequences. If you want to keep your gun rights; don’t commit felonies. If you want your rights back you should have to petition the court where you were convicted and let them decide. Our state does not recognize the 2nd amendment as an individual right for those of us that are not convicted criminals. To argue criminals have that right is preposterous.

  40. the camps are real like some have mentioned, you can be skeptical, or believe, but they are there.  We can keep an eye on them, carry our cards close to chest and be aware of our surroundings.  I for one do not think along the line of them being a friend, their nature and background is so much more different than ours.  they have been waring with each other for years and to think that they want to live here and be our friends is total BS.

  46.   I flew in a heavy snow storm before in October in Eagleville TN. in a Cessna 182. Of course it was snowing at 10,000ft, melting into a cold drizzle at about 7,000 ft. because it was about 60ish on the ground. I know this because I jumped out of the Cessna in the snow storm.  :)
