I recently picked up a Savage Model 112 Magnum Target in 338 LM. I took it out to ORSA today for barrel break-in. I shot 10 rounds of 250gr Lapua Scenar, using Lapua brass and 91 grains of H1000. Projectiles were set with a .025 jump. I wasn't shooting for accuracy or even truly to zero the scope, just to get a feel for it and break the barrel in. After just 10 rounds I can confirm a few things: 1) It's impossible not to grin when you shoot this thing. 2) The target accu-trigger is super-responsive. I don't have a gauge to measure the pull but it feels like a factory setting of 1lb-ish. 3) The muzzle brake will not make you any friends on the firing line. Luckily today I didn't have anyone on either side of me so it wasn't an issue. I didn't get a picture at the range but this is it while I was mounting the scope. It's got a Ken Farrell 20moa base, Seekins rings, and a Vortex Viper PST FFP 6-24x50 that I took off another rifle.2 points

I like the changes thus far. Sooooo much easier browsing on a mobile device than before. I'll wait until I'm home tonight to really dig into all of it, but so far so good!2 points

So here's what we know about the password situation: The common denominator seems to be that all of the members who have had to reset their passwords were members of TGO back when we ran vBulletin up until a few years ago. There is something peculiar about the way those passwords were brought over in the conversion process way back then that is affecting your accounts now. Resetting your passwords, exactly as you have been doing, is the right thing to do until the software authors come up with a fix to help everyone else who hasn't reset their passwords yet.2 points

So I have to brag on my wife a bit! I have been wanting a SIG SAUER P320 for a while but been putting it off due to the price.I decided to sell one of my other pistols to help fund my new one. I sold my Taurus and was going to just save up the rest. Well I when i got home today from selling the Taurus My wife walked up and handed me the rest of the cash( she hides money around the house worse than squirrels hide nuts) for my new SIG and said "I know its the one you have wanted for a while, go and get it !!!!" I was completely floored so i drove straight to the gun store and was like a kid in a candy shop ...... now all that is left is to put in the trigger time and break it in well.1 point

My wife has a 320 compact 9mm. For her the slide is easier than her shield 9mm. We did get the small grip module and with that she really shoots it well. After roughly 1k rnds tell gun has been fawless. My only complaint is that she now wants trijicon HD sights added...1 point

@hipower I think a lot of the problems you are having come from the web browser. Have you switched to Chrome or Firefox yet?1 point

That's been my experience as well and exactly what I did. But I still really like the Coex containers for a lot of purposes.1 point

I'm up and running. Just required the obligatory pw reset.. Looks pretty good and most things are functional. Nothing particularly scary about this flavor of the software.1 point

One clue might be if one has ever changed display name? I was originally signed up as "OhShoot" but changed to the two word "Oh Shoot" some years back, but with previous software iterations, still had to use the original "OhShoot" as the login name, but new software wants the actual screen name currently shown, ie "Oh Shoot" with the space (caps still don't seem to matter). - OS1 point

You get up into the $3000+ range and you're in steel garage territory. I would go with one of them before spending $3k on a conex box. The garage will add value to the property, conex box will not.1 point

Oh Shoot has it right on the extractor. I have VQ extractors on my 3 1022s and routinely but them in folks' 1022s who are having ejection issues. The hammer forged spiral looking Target 10/22 barrels are really nice barrels, although even they may need a chamber tweak. The trigger in the 1022 Target still needs help. The only thing "target" about the new 1022 Targets is the barrel and for the money they want for one I would still get a plain jane and my own aftermarket barrel and cobble some sort of trigger job together. Remember when you have a target barrel you still need to find a subsonic ammo that particular barrel likes. Feddersen right here in TN makes a dandy target barrel. http://www.1022rifle.com/ If you want to talk aftermarket 10/22 barrels one of our forum members, Plinker4life, has a nice collection of some of the finest on the market: Kidd, McGowen, Feddersen, etc. What I don't like about target barrels is the weight of a full .920 barrel. My favorite is this one: http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/17-heavy-taper-sporter-replacement-barrel-22lr/ My second favorite 1022 barrel is this one: http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/10-22-running-boar-target-barrel-blue-long-rifle/ This is a great barrel to put in an offhand stock to hit moving targets using a red dot. If I had more cash than sense I would get a Feddersen 17" Heavy Taper barrel, Kidd trigger kit in a Ruger OEM Poly trigger housing, send a Ruger bolt to Que, bed this in a B&C target/varmint stock or get one of these: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Victor-Company-USA/223957060947899 then I would have to get a serious scope and unfortunately would have to buy ammo that costs over 10 cents a round at least. But if you are feeling froggy then followup what these guys are doing: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5091551 point

IMNSHO, whatever else you do with a 10/22, the factory extractor should be changed out to a Volquartsen or similar, period. Almost all feeding probs/jams, "only liking certain ammo", etc., masquerade as this and that, but are actually simply due to the sub par design of the factory extractor not holding the round optimally all the way back to the ejector. You can also file the factory one to the better angle, but it's still not as strong as the Volquartsen, MIM vs hardened A2 steel. - OS1 point
