1. THIS IS A   KFC UPDATE !!!   Remember when Playboy magazine reportedly offered Sarah Palin $4,000,000 to pose nude in an upcoming issue?   Then Michelle Obama was offered $ 0. 50 by National Geographic?   And when KFC offered a "Hillary" meal, consisting of two small breasts and two large thighs?   Now KFC is offering the   "Obama Cabinet Bucket."   It consists of nothing but left wings and chicken sh-t.

  2. My wife and myself love hidden compartments, passages doors, rooms, compartments, etc... When we start building our house, things will get interesting i'm sure. Anyways, I have found a way to satisfy my my love for guns, bikes and hidden compartments so here it is, Cool huh :edit: For anyone that isn't familiar with Harleys or bikes in general, this is the floorboard on a Harley (I assume touring bike).

  3. I'm just not sure I see a need for this...it may not hurt anything but is it truly needed?  There is hardly a state I travel to or ever want to travel to/through that doesn't already my TN HCP and while we have it better than other States, that seems to be a "State" issue to me; not one that the federal government should solve. If the federal government wants to make things better than how about getting rid of 99% of all federal gun laws! ;)

  4. We as a gun society, TGO, should do nothing but condemn the actions of the shooter if the facts show what is being reported is true.  The texting and altercation is being reported to have taken place before the start of the movie.  Before a movie starts talking and texting should not be a problem.   If all the guy did was throw popcorn at the guy then there is no way that he can be in fear of his life, different if the guy came after him.   We, who have an HCP have a greater responsibility to avoid conflict, especially trivial conflict.

  5. Sad for both families.  I don't go to theaters any more because of talkers, texters, and general sphincters who seem to be there just to   ruin the experience for everyone else. I wait till a movie comes out on DVD and buy it for less than the cost of two tickets.

  6. Thought I'd share this with you guys. You get a M91/30 plus 440 rounds of ammo for $200. I Think it's a pretty good deal, especially with $9.95 shipping. Cope's is also a superb vendor to deal with.     http://www.copesdistributing.com/russian-mosin-nagant-189130-round-receiver-rifle-with-440rd-ammo-p-7698.html

  9. We also have to realize that this isn't easy for the folks in the gun biz. You can have all the demand in the world. That doesn't equate to money in the bank when your supply lines are all screwed up. I'll cut Midway some slack, because I've seen how they prefer to run in normal times.   One thing you can count on with Potterfield... He has a formal background in business, and is going to keep his numbers right. When his revenues are down because of holes in his supply lines, he's not going to be dumb enough to lose the business, or damage his employees getting through it. I don't think Larry is getting greedy. I think he's scrambling to work around the bad economy and the war on guns. I hate to blame this all on our big eared, knuckle dragging, imitation president (not really), but that's who created Larry's problems. But, all I ask is a fair price and prevailing shipping rates. If it cost me as much or more to ship from Brownell's, I'm probably not gonna blame Larry.

  10.   I repeat:     Anything the fed can set a precedent for control of, they can control completely. Just takes a different Congress to change a previous decision 180 degrees the other way. Absolutely best to keep their damn mitts off what is purely a state's right issue.   - OS

  11.     Cause it's NOT poor etiquette. Every movie I've seen in the last decade has a little commercial asking you to shut off devices.  After THAT time, it IS considered being an asshat to use them.

  12. I don't disagree with your assessment.  For me, however, the real issue is not this particular policy but the overall impact of having bureaucrats at any level (but especially the federal level) dictating to schools what they must teach, how they must teach it and what their policies must be.   If there are going to be public schools they should only exist when parents come together to form a school for their children and other than, perhaps, being required to show progress though occasional testing, should be left alone. That won't ever happen of course.

  16. Murfreesboro lady said they had some in at 7 AM but would not put it out until later. The older lady working the counter said they will start putting it out at random. Maybe AM or PM... she would not specify a time... Finally, maybe... just maybe... they have seen the light of the reseller VS a customer who is buying other things in their store.

  24. It makes me sick all the time. When we are checking out I stand in front of the registers and watch for the "patriotic" cards and what is being bought is disgusting. They are buying stuff we cannot afford but wish we could. What happened to the old days were you got "gov't" cheese, milk, cereal, eggs and a few other minor things. Personally I would like them to send the food directly to the family. It would help the USPS stay afloat and reduce the amount of abuses. And only those who truly need it would want to have blocks of cheese and the few other nutritionally adequate items.   I have said it several times but there is a local lady who uses her EBT card to buy tuna for her cats and it is the expensive packs, not the cans. She brags about how the government is buying her cats tuna. She said she would not buy them tuna if they would let her buy catfood on her EBT card. And she doesn't dress, act or drive a car that suggests she is in need of any benefits yet every month she comes in and buys packs of tuna for her cats.   Something else that is disgusting is that it is illegal to ask for the ID to see if the card matches the user. My brother gave his EBT card to another person to use. The store told me about it and I asked why they accepted it. They said they called the agency that manages the EBT system and they said you cannot ask for ID because of privacy reasons. They said if they did then the store would not be allowed to accept EBT any longer. This only breeds fraud.   BTW, my brother receives Social Security disability for his "mental condition" related to his long ter illegal drug use. His long term drug use has fried his brain so he gets a check, food stamps as well as free healthcare. His benefits and free healthcare has supported his illegal drug habit because he sells his prescription meds and his EBT for illegal drugs. As part of his healthcare he was part of a program where they gave them his drug of choice, opiates, but monitored it and slowly weened him from it. Funny part was he said that when he completed the program he would just piss dirty and he could go right back on the program so for over a year the taxpayers paid for his drug habit. When I found out he was scamming the drug program I quit driving him and at that point they gave him 6 months worth of "doses" at once and expected him to not abuse it. Needless to say his 6 months worth of "doses" didn;t last very long.   The worst part is they can receive a portion of their benefits as cash to spend as they see fit. I watched a couple that were obviously meth users pull cash out of the ATM in front of me using their EBT card.

  33. Could be worse.  Usually the Japanese make quality products, unlike some places.  And most likely, it is simply ownership --- the factory and employees etc stay right here, the profits go to the owner.   I can't see them uprooting it to their island just to ship it here to sell...  so it will still be made in the usa and all that.    This is part of the capitalism that we supposedly cherish --- when the time is right, you cash out and sell your business.

  34. Yeah, I don't get that either. When I'm just sitting there waiting for the movie to start I'm gonna have no problem texting or whatever on my phone. I didn't realize that was poor etiquette.

  35. I'm with you Dolomite_supafly in regard to Midway.   For over 20+ years it use to be simple and straight forward dealing with Midway.  I had the FFL discount, so making a big order would more than offset any shipping.  I would often find myself ordering items from both Midway and Brownells at the same time and it was almost like the green flag had dropped and both companies were in a race to have their goods shipped to me first.   Now......, Midway seems to be in the "We get to You When We get to You."   Also, I didn't much care for the "Happy Horse Sh*t" email that was sent to us when Midway stopped the FFL discount.  That email had Larry telling us how much better it was going to be with all of the coupons and discounts and free shipping on stuff I don't want.    Now - - - Well is seems like everyday I get several Midway "spam" emails pushing stuff that I can go to Academy Sports to get.

  36.
The guy didn't deserve being shot for being an ass, but he could have avoided the entire confrontation too. It's amazing how self centered people have become.
I agree with this. Shooting the guy was insane and never should have happened. But if the guy hadn't ignored the rules, and decided his text was more important than anyone else's enjoyment of the movie, he'd be alive today. I've had confrontations in theaters before, people talking loudly or texting. Usually standing up, getting their attention, looking them dead in the eye and giving them one good firm "Shut the f*** up" or "Put the phone down" does it for me. Rude, inconsiderate assholes make my blood boil. I wouldn't shoot them, but beating them with a hammer after the movie has crossed my mind. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

  39. I have never had a problem with Midway. Anything that's ever been back ordered has shipped as the items came. I will continue to do business with them as I have for the last few years. They have never given me a reason to stop. File an inquiry to find out what happened.   Dave

  44. Doesn't matter what gun you qualify with, you can carry whatever you want, even multiple guns (as long as they're legal of course). And as for the not shooting perfectly, my instructor simply gave us pass or fail, didn't mark down anything about where the shots hit, so I'm not sure where that came from. Even if it were true, shooting in a range and shooting in self defense is COMPLETELY two different things, so that's a moot point.
    1 point
  45.   We've really got to get past the idea that there's a loophole to justify the lack of common sense every time someone does something legal but stupid.  If it was inventory, it could have and should have been cased or cartoned.
