I bought this pretty little over/under new in 2005. The wood is beautiful, no blems or boo boos on it. Has 26" barrels and comes with 7 chokes (5 factories & 2 Carlson skeets). I'll even throw a box of rabbit loads in, tis the season. This was my go-to dove gun until my friend sold me his Browning Citori. No sense in this sitting in the safe any longer. SOLD - thanks TGO3 points

Yall keep saying the first Tundras weren't full size compared to today's trucks. You can't compare across generations. Just because trucks have gotten bloated doesn't mean that it wasn't a full size truck at the time. Go to these pages and compare the dimensions. The 2002 Tundra is larger than a 2002 F150 in most areas. Are yall gonna tell me that the 2002 F150 wasn't fullsize? 2002 Toyota Tundra Specs, Trims & Colors | Cars.com 2002 Ford F-150 Specs, Trims & Colors | Cars.com2 points

Agreed. The 4.7L is one of the most reliable engines they have ever made. And yes, the 1st gen Tundra was substantially smaller than the current generation. It's amazing how big trucks have gotten over the years. Here is my 02. I took this picture today.2 points

It was a special Christmas for my son this year. He is 5 and "Santa" brought him his first real gun. Of course it had to be a KSA Crickett: black synthetic stock with stainless barrel. His eyes and face when he saw it were priceless on Christmas morning, so Santa did good! Here is a quick shot of us shooting it for the first time the other day. We went through a couple hundred rounds and had a blast. Hope all you folks had a great holiday season!1 point

Hey Greg, maybe you need to consult for VDOT and explain to watch the weather forecast. I am sure Gov. Northam would appreciate the input. I don't know if ya'll have watched this, but it is a cluster. Another of the myriad reasons I don't prefer to travel interstates unless there isn't much of a choice. On a 2 lane highway you can turn around and detour.1 point

I remember the big snow storm I think in 2000 when it snowed so hard and fast that it completely shut down Nashville. It was taking hours for folks to get home I -town. I flew in from Jersey that might and recall I-24 was a parking lot. I also seem to remember the National Guard was sent up I-40 to the Plateau to rescue stranded motorists. Maybe up Monteagle Mt. as well.1 point

I saw an article where U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia was stuck in this mess. He left Richmond at around noon Monday for the two hour drive to D.C. He tweeted after 19 hours that he had been in touch with the Governor. I'm guessing he ain't happy.1 point

4 to 5 inches at the house in northern Rutherford County, looked like 5 to 6 inches at work in Christiana. Best kind of snow to get, pretty to look at for a few hours then starts melting right away on the roads so you can still travel without issue. I did have 1/8" to 1/4" of ice under some of the snow that made the drive a bit of a mess at first. Much better than that crap we got last January that was a combo if freezing fog, freezing rain, sleet, and snow that made an absolute mess and stuck around for 5 or so days.1 point

Your absolutely right...all vehicles have gotten so much bigger...compare a late 90's/early 2000's Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Nissan Sentra, etc to whats made today....some look like they have doubled in size. The 70's are back...but with fuel efficiency lol.1 point

This is the first time this issue, which is specific to TN, has come up. I have acquaintances in TN and joined to keep up with what's going on. I belong to a regional forum that covers my area, and we have a few people plugged into the political machine and firearm manufacturing apparatus in NH who know what is going on behind the scenes with regard to firearm bills here. So I figured someone on this site might have an inside line on what is on the horizon for firearm laws in TN and what role the manufacturers in the state are playing in getting those bills passed or voted down.1 point

That's a bit of an exaggeration. You can count the number of football games Vanderbilt won against UT in the last 10 years on one hand - but you will need every finger.1 point

And if they are openly lobbying, wouldn’t we know who they were?1 point

A new hunting buddy. I'm desperately looking another person or two to hunt/camp/four wheel with. I hunt pigs, that's my focus. I'll also hunt most anything else that presents an opportunity. I pay to use a large piece of privately owned land outside of Monterey, TN. TWRA has approved the taking of pigs on the property at any time, by any means. I pay $500 per year to use it and you would have to as well. I've been hunting this place for 3 years and in my opinion it's well worth the money. An ATV or SXS is a must have. I have one established bait site with a cellar camera on it, and would like another. I also have a camper that I like to take up there on weekends that you would be welcome to use when I'm there. There were 4 of us that started hunting the property together, only one other remains and he works an odd schedule so he's usually there when I'm at work. I honestly don't mind the solitude, I rather enjoy it, but I've found myself in a sticky situation or two, miles from camp, and many miles from anyone that could help. I figured it's at least time to see if I could find someone to start hunting with me. I try to get up there 1-2 weekends per month. I also have to run up from time to time to fill the feeder or do maintenance on the feeder. I have a son that's 1 1/2 years old that will be joining me within the next couple of years, so if you have kids, they are more than welcome (immediate family members are permitted to accompany you on the property at no extra charge). I honestly go up to ride my four wheeler or SXS as much as I hunt as I'm still trying to learn the property. I will note that since there is no season on pigs I do this year round. I live in Lebanon, and as I stated the property is outside of Monterey. I work Monday through Friday and get off work at 3:30. I typically cut out an hour or two early on Fridays and head out. I usually try to be home by noon on Sunday to get a little family time in. Though I have the ability to talk about pig hunting for hours, I am absolutely still learning. Your knowledge of pigs isn't important to me. I'm happy to be out in the woods, bringing home bacon is icing on the cake. What is important is that you are dependable and free of drama, I only have so much time to spend in the woods and don't want to sacrifice that because of some silliness.1 point

There was at least 8" up on parts of the Cherohala. Some drifts were a foot deep. There were also a lot of downed trees. We had a great time playing in it.1 point

I am looking to sell my Schmidt-Rubin Infantry Rifle. It is in excellent condition for a milsurp gun and has all matching serial numbers, including the magazine, along with the original sling. It features the Swiss straight pull bolt action that is extremely unique and smooth. It is the precursor to the somewhat better known and more available Swiss k31. It is phenomenally accurate with an amazing trigger and is widely regarded as one of the most accurate milsurp bolt guns available. I am also including 120 rounds of 7.5 Swiss, which can be somewhat difficult to find, so you can shoot it as soon as you buy without having to search for ammo. I am located in the Knoxville area and would be willing to drive to meet someone interested in buying. Please text me at (714) 331-0197 $750 (including ammo)1 point

After the results of this year's bowl season, it looks like the SEC might need to consider a name change - maybe something like "The Big 2 and the Rest" ...1 point

Back when I was a boy, every kid had a bunch of toy guns and just about every store carried caps. I well remember the days of "Cowboys and Indians" and playing "War". I remember being about 5 when for Christmas I got a full Cowboy outfit . Hat. shirt, boots and a double holstered pair of cap guns just like that. Anybody remember the Mattel Fanner 50 and Lever guns that had Greenie Stick 'em Caps and "Shootin' Shells"? We had tons of toy guns back in the 1960s. Mattel's Tommy Gun was very popular. I had a toy Browning 1919 machine gun that ran on 2 "D" cell batteries and made sounds when fired. One of my friends had a spring powered Bazooka that fired plastic rockets. Military guns were just as popular as the cowboy stuff. And yet, none of us grew up to be mass murderers. Imagine that.1 point

I swear, I think Gun stores hire the dumbest individuals they can find, to work behind the gun counter, sometimes. Seems the worst offenders are places like Academy and Bass Pro.1 point
