Price dropped to $600. Looking to move my Colt Detective Special. The colt serial lookup dates it as a 1969. Carried a lot in a pocket holster, shot very little. Its a post-66 short frame, good shape, some bluing wear from carry, and a ding in the right side stock. Shoots good, and a dandy pocket gun or collectible. Moving on to different things. $600 around Knoxville, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge, etc.

Been wanting to see how these compared. Finally got a Micro Dagger last week and thought I'd pass on my experience. Quality: the handling and feel of the CR920 is better on every level. It's one of those things you can just see and feel. The PSA isn't bad, it just doesn't have anything unnecessary or extra. It just doesn't "look" refined. The CR920 has all the little extras. Handling: the PSA actually shoots better. The micros trigger is slightly heavier but more crisp and consistent. The CR920 is a little on the mushy side and the break is a bit soft. It's not bad but in a side by side comparison, it's noticeable. However, the CR920 feels better in my hand. While the CR920 feels smaller it also feels a bit wider than the PSA. The PSA feels great but feels vanilla at the same time. Accuracy: both would hit where they were pointed ... when I did my job. However, the slight mush of the CR920 trigger opened the groups of a bit. Both are more accurate than me. I think with a bit of trigger refinement the CR920 will be better than the PSA, but not in it's stock configuration. Mags: the PSA mags worked great but they look and feel cheap with the partial poly makeup. Mag lockup of the PSA was also a bit loose feeling and feedback was neutral at best. I would often double check that they were seated. Once I thought it was and when it wouldn't charge the first round, I found it hadn't fully seated. The CR920 mags locked in consistently with positive feedback and looked quality. Extras: none of my kydex CR920/43x mos holsters fitted the PSA securely. I have a dedicated holster from Eclipse holsters coming for the PSA. Both take Glock sights Bottom line: I ran both with Holosun 407K-GR and like them both! They both have standard pic rails (Big negative I had with the P365). The CR920 has the ability to be smaller with the different mag sizes. The PSA has 15 rnd mags (+2 over the CR920). I would have no problem if I only had one over the other. Is one better? Eh the CR920 is more refined but you pay for it. The PSA is cheaper and less refined but does all the fundamentals right ... get both.

Drove about 250 miles round trip to get this bad boy today and Im over the moon ecstatic. Thanks to @Patton for the tip on where I could find one. Ill be pairing this fighting revolver up with a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake in black alligator as my Sunday go to meeting rig. The Sourdough has the IWB straps on it, and should help make carrying a big chunk of steel much more comfortable.

TCA 39-17-1307 Make carrying club misdemeanor. TCA 39-17-1308 is the defenses which list what has been already mentioned. I carried one for several years only really used it to get something that fell under a patrol car or break windows. I always just went to hard hand/ strikes same level. Carrying oc spray doesn't require any cert if I recall and that will make most people not having a mental issue or drug issue eyes clamp down and they typically aren't as aggressive physically anymore.

First is a Norinco with matching numbers on receiver, bolt, mag and stock. Dinged stock but good blue on the metal. Second is a Norinco “Paratrooper”. Much nicer stock and good blue on the metal. Numbers match except for the mag which is not numbered but looks to be OEM. I have owned them for awhile but not fired either one. I only want to sell one of these and keep the other. $650 north of Nashville. Will consider a trade plus cash for a .22 semiauto pistol.

Finally got to run some rounds through the K6S. It shoots as nice as it looks. The combat grips are a must, if you want to shoot it very much. Carries extremely well. Light, tight, and barely noticeable. I got Garret Holsters to make their Silent Thunder STX 2.0 for it. This is my favorite OWB holster for semi autos.... and now revolvers. 38's were very manageable. Won't say it was .22 light shooting but it wasn't 9mm shooting either. 357 is snappy but not too much to handle. Very impressed with the trigger. DA was very nice and, SA was extremely nice. I did add xs sights and they worked as well as semi auto sights. Best revolver sights ever. It's a keeper.

You have to take a baton class and carry a certification card from the class with you. My pops used to carry a sap with an egg shaped lead weight in it but he quit years ago

Carry a cane and get SD training on how to use it. The ADA protects this to a point that even an airline can’t take it from you. There are many that are designed not only for that weak hip, wink wink, but also for self defense.

This is one area that had always struck me as odd, especially when the laws changed on knives and firearms carry. You can carry any knife you want, anyway you want to, same with a gun. OC spray and taser are socially and lawfully carried most places, but a stick, the most basic of weapons, cant be carried without an arbitrary piece of paper saying you know how to use it. I wish TN would just go ahead an open it up and allow any self defense to be carried by law abiding citizens, and make the prison term so sever for commiting a crime with a weapon that criminals actively avoided the state

I remember reading one time about a case in Tennessee where someone used to carry a golf club on walks for protection. Can’t remember all the details of the cas neut seems like he used it and admitted to carrying for self defense, and was charged for carrying a weapon. In another case it was a baseball bat in a car or truck that was used, and someone said if you carry a ball bat in your truck, make sure you also carry a glove and ball, LOL. It’s sad kinda that less lethal isn’t a legal option before firearms use.

Been looking for good . 357 carry revolver and was curious about the K6S or a King Cobra. Willis68 had both and I got to handle them both and both are fantastic. The K6S was just so light, thin, slim, and modern feeling. At the same time, it felt solid and tight. I really liked the looks of the 2" barrel but really liked the increased ballistics of the 3". I got to say this is the most carriable 3" revolver I've ever held. Excited to get it to the range.

Anyone have any intel on how long the MCSC is going to be closed up in Clarksville? The rifle and pistol ranges still show closed on the website but it seems like they have been closed for over a year now for these "upgrades". I think the shotgun and archery areas have remained open during their renovations. I tried calling up there a couple of times but didn't get an answer.

I wish they would get those ranges up and running. I used to enjoy shooting there. I really don’t like shooting on indoor ranges. There isn’t much of alternative any where close by.

I believed all the hype on the 45-70 recoil. I finally got my Marlin 1895 sbl and sighted it in after shoot 4 different types/weights of ammo. Recoil was acceptable in each one.

Nice looking setup. Looks like the ideal for a novice AK guy, or one who just doesn't shoot every weekend. So far...I'm describing myself here. Got a badly done, camoed ( it came that way. I wouldn't do it) Polish underfolder that works for me. Had it 5+ years. Taken it out 2 times. Anyway, that's off track. I think this is a very nice package and anyone wanting to go the AK route would be well servrf by this rifle. If I didn't have mine...I'd be a potential buyer. I wish you a speedy sale sir.

I threaded my Henry 22, it seemed like a fun idea but having to take off the suppressor to reload it gets annoying after a while.

I am a member of ACLDN and have been for years. It is NOT insurance but does have a review board. Massad Ayoob, Marty Hayes, John Farnum, Tom Givens, and a couple more are on the review board. These are some of the names of the most knowledgeable people in the Self Defense Field. These guys will do a review to make sure it is self-defense afterwards. Comes down to trust guys. I trust these men and this organization, Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network. Like crc 4 states, they all do it(some type of review). Now I don't know about Attorneys on Retainer, but I would need to know they, are highly skilled in self-defense law, and can defend a Self Defense (affirmative defense) case. IMO, I want the best attorney I can find in Self Defense cases. They are few and far between (good S D attorneys). I also agree with crc4 you must know your states, or the state where you are in, laws of self-defense in order to be sure your within your rights to legally use force.

I am a revolver guy. Like yours a bunch, Smith. I recently purchased a new 686 + from outpost in the Boro. It is stainless and IS a 7 shot with a 3" brl also. My EDC is a 7 shot Taurus 617 38/357 2" brl which I carry Corbon DPX 357 ammo in. The 686 is a little large for pocket carry. I pocket carry the Taurus when I am out of bed. I have an alloy frame 617 which is much lighter 7 shot, but only in 38 Spl. If I feel a need for more ammo on board, I carry a S W MP 9C 9MM IWB 15 shot and 4" brl or a Ruger Max 9 13 shot in my pocket. I do not feel under gunned with the 7 round revolver and I also carry one reload, always, in a strip in my back pocket. This is my current carry firearms and has been for 4 years. Practice with all 3, but not on the same days. I always concentrate on one at a time. "Smitty", hope you enjoy your new revolver. Looks fine guy!

We hired a couple men to come and cut about 4 miles of horse trails on my daughter's 89-acre farm. First guy had a work ethic problem. That might be an option for you if you just need a tad bit of cutting. The last guy we hired did superb work and was fairly reasonable for the amount of money he had tied up in the cutter and tracked skid steer. The last guy we got was out of Lebanon TN. The trails were really grown up and he had the grinder head that ground the trees and brush into chips. Said the cutter cost him 60,000. new and the Skid Steer was about 40,000 used. Plus, he had to have a dully truck and heavy trailer to be mobile with it. We paid him by the hour, and he produced good work. We cut 4 miles of trails, 10 feet wide, up and down hills, and it ended up costing my daughter about 6,000,00. I walked the trails and used surveyors' tape so he could follow it through the brush. Worked out really well for us. May be an option for you Darrell.
