Just a reminder to the Genny users please make sure your connection to the main powerline id disconnected so the electricity can't back feed, as a former Line clearance tree trimmer, and the father of a Supervisor at Wolf Tree I thank you.

We had a lot of problem with this working an Ice Storm in Arkansas back in 2001 I had a couple of my guys put in the hospital due to a genny back feed. so lets keep the guys tring to get your power back on safe :2cents:  :)

Went and picked up a friend for her shift at St. Thomas dropped her off around 6 last night and I'm waiting to pick her up now. Last night the surface streets were not that bad but 40 and 440 were bad. Looks like they spent a lot of time clearing the inter and intrastates last night but all of the surface streets are frozen sold and nasty. Be careful if you get out, there are a ton of people driving around this morning that don't have a clue but that's no different from any other day. Come to think about it I can get to where I need to in Nashville quicker in this mess than normally.

we got a fair dusting of snow last night.  heat pump is hanging in there.   Maybe the lower humidity is helping.

Heat pumps just don't work when the temp drops into the 20's or colder.  Hard to extract heat from 20 deg air.

we have a layer of ice covered by dry snow.  Here are pics looking up the driveway and out over the backyard towards the hayfield.

Same here.  I made it in to work without any problems.  Some slick spots for sure, but passable and mostly just wet.  The re-freeze tonite should be interesting.

Well, they shut down BNA all day today too. We just bought some other tickets and going to come into Birmingham and drive up.

Weather was awesome out here, but this turned into a rather expensive trip due to the incidentals.
