CMT will be converting people to the TGO group this week. Once that's done, they'll add stock, and you'll have to opportunity to complete your order by adding stuff to your cart and paying for it. From there, it'll get made and hopefully ship in time for the holidays! Everyone will be getting a PM once the conversion is done and ordering is ready.5 points

Oh course it matters if a Republican Senate seat goes to a Dem. You just can't rationalize that away because Lamar isn't as conservative as you'd like. I ain't voting for a Dem in this day and time, no how no way, nor am I abstaining from voting so that a Dem vote counts that I didn't neuter. - OS3 points

Yep. Ya know, how's this for simple as far as the current impasse? : Don't raise the debt limit, pay the bills, and run the government on the rest. Yep, would have to be major painful cuts, and they'd have to be discussed and decided on. But however painful it might be, it's less painful to make them by choice than have them inevitably made for you later. Would mean getting rid of about 40% of the federal government. How could that be bad? - OS2 points

I had an obscure part break on one of my Dillon powder measures last week. I couldn't even see a parts breakdown to find the name of the part. So I told them the funnel like cast piece that screws on the #2 expansion powder loading die. Thingy, whatzit cast thing. I got an email today saying the part was on the way. Went out to the mailbox a few minutes later and there it was. It's actually a "Body Collar Complete" in the rare event it breaks again. This isn't the first time I've gone back to Dillon for a problem and their response is always the same. Fast service, no bs replacement of anything that breaks at no cost. It's hard to beat a warranty like that. Cherokee Slim2 points

Found this on a friends Facebook page . Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security " to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats. Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana ... I think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is! "Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight!!! 1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit) for FIFTY YEARS. 2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63). 3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud. 4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your ilk" pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and your "shill commission" are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN. 5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now "you morons" propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills. 6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you "incompetent bastards" spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt. To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bullshit" to your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU: 1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career? 2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers? 3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance? 4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies? It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers. And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed, leech. That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic, political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it. And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch. P.S. And stop calling Social Security benefits "entitlements". WHAT AN INSULT!!!! I have been paying in to the SS system for 45 years “It's my moneyâ€-give it back to me the way the system was designed and stop patting yourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out these monthly checks . EVERYONE!! If you agree with Patty Myers, says, please PASS IT ON!!!!2 points

Folks... ETP's post above (...#33...) is exactly right... Treaties cant trump the Constitution (...as others have wisely opined...).... As to the UN "enforcing" anything... Dont worry.... . As to politicians here in the good ole USA doin anything about "banning guns"; the supremes have ruled on that one too... The Second Amendment is an "indivudual right"; despite whatever Rugh Bader Ginsburg and others say... They lost... The signing of the un arms treaty wuz red meat for the anti-gunners and a red flag to infuriate the "real people" in this country... It was agreed to in symbolic terms only (....treaties require ratification and cant trump the Constitution....) by two of the most heinous anti american sons of satan who have lived since the civil war --- maybe ever in our history as a nation... They are both overbearing, pompous, narcissistic, nincompoops who have no notion of anything other than that they should be emperors and that us delightful rustics should bow down and do what they say--- after all, they are the best and brightest; and we (...and the Founding Fathers, evidently...) are just ignorant old men...... Their main problem is that we wont bow down, the Bill of Rights restrains them, and there will be another election soon; and they will be out... That is the true genius of our system of government... The hell with them both... Keep your powder dry... leroy2 points

Hunted this evening. Checked the trail cam on the way out, time stamp on a pic showed 30 min before I got to my stand a coyote was popping a squat right in front of the cam, almost mocking me! When I go back this weekend to check the cam, I'll swap the memory card and post a pic for y'all to see. It's stupidly funny the expression this coyote has!1 point

Personally, I don't think it looks 'tactical', at all. Instead, I think it looks classy - likely more classy than it did when new. My guess (not being familiar with the model) is that this was what I would think of as a utility or maybe a field shotgun even when it was brand new. To me, that is the cool thing about old, utility and field guns - they aren't anything 'special' in the overall world of firearms and you can get them at reasonable prices, especially if they are 'cosmetically challenged.' Often, you could just shoot them as-is and not worry about dinging them up because they are already dinged up (with one or two exceptions, that has been my approach with the few that I have.) Alternately, you can restore them to 'like new' status - but then all you really have is a 'like new' utility firearm. To me, that works in some cases (depending on the design of the gun, the kind of wood, the figure in the wood and so on) but in other cases it doesn't really do anything exciting and the gun loses the 'character' it got from having seen some real use. A third option is to do what you have done and do some light resto-modding so that the finished product keeps something of the spirit of the original while at the same time taking on a customized, personal look. To my eye, what you ended up with looks a lot better than what you started with even if the stock hadn't been broken, etc. In fact, I'd say you elevated it a bit above the 'utility' class of guns. In that last pic, the stock almost looks like it was carved from a nice piece of marble or something. I really like it. Now for a question: how did you get that 'webbing' look with the black paint. Did you just go all 'Jackson Pollock' on it or is there some method to getting nice, even coverage?1 point

Yep, and of course there was no state in which Romney got no votes. Seems once Bersaguy decides something is a fact, it's a fact, and I've never seen him return to a thread when challenged to support or relent on an averred point either. :) He's posted that TN HCP is tied to license plate for example, over and over, even after LEOs have tried to clue him in. Etc. I would like to suggest to him that he'd get more credence regarding his mentions of "marshal" law if he'd use the proper word, but I know it won't take. :) :) - OS1 point

Move to a lightly-populated farming region that is well-removed from major population centers. (I can not do this just now) Learn traditional skills such as gardening, canning, hunting, welding, and home mechanics. (done) Network with like-minded individuals. (done) Get out of debt. and stay out of debt. (done) Stock up on storage food and other key logistics. (done) Arm yourself and get tactically-oriented firearms training.(working on it) Develop a second income stream with a home-based business that will be depression proof and resilient to mass inflation(working on it) Assemble a reference library.(not yet) Train in advanced first aid.(done) Get a ham radio license.(why, other than to let people know where you are) Become involved with your local farmer's market.(working on it) Join a local Volunteer Fire Department.(been think about this) What about yall, it all makes good sense.1 point

I'm telling ya'll, he is doing everything he can do to create a situation where he can declare marshal law on the country. All I can say is don't anyone be stupid and give him the reason. He thinks he can drive the American people to their breaking point by closing down our parks and National Land Marks. I got news for him. I have the patience of a saint when it comes to stuff like this because I know that every dog has his day and the American peoples day is coming in November 2014. We just need to make sure the Conservative party keep a very close eye on the ballot boxes and who programs them. Anyone with 1 brain cell functioning knows that the ballot boxes were rigged last election. Two things happened that proved it. 1) no President in American history has ever won an election by more then 5 million votes. 2) No Presidential candidate in American history has had an entire state vote and that person not receive 1 vote in the entire state. There were a lot of people asking what happened to their votes when the ballot boxes where counted and Romney did not get 1 vote in North Carolina and people said they voted for him and wanted to know where their votes went. They never got an answer...........Makes ya kinda wonder huh?1 point

No, treaties cannot legally trump the Constitution. Clearly, the question becomes one regarding whether elected officials, courts, and voters will actually do anything meaningful to prevent an unconstitutional treaty from being enforced. I think what most people fail to understand is that even ratified treaties - like restraining orders - are only pieces of paper that are as good as a nation's willingness to abide by it and the UN Security Council's willingness to enforce it. The UN does not have an army, and I seriously doubt that the other members of the Security Council would agree to use their military to enforce the treaty in the US. That would leave the United States to enforce it and no president in their right mind would try to do that. Why would any elected politician risk impeachment to keep records of gun sales on file fir 10 years? The Feds can't even get a magazine ban implemented, much less pull off an obviously unconstitutional gun ban in accordance to a UN treaty that doesn't even include a language calling for a gun ban. If the government is so corrupted that they would try, then that UN treaty is the least of our worries. EDIT: One other thing. The president does not have to sign a treaty. The Constitution and related federal law only states that the treaty must be negotiated by the executive branch with the assistance of the House of Representatives and it cannot be signed without the consent of the president. If the president's signature were required, then Harry Truman would have been sitting on the deck of the USS Missouri instead of Douglas MacArthur at the end of WWII. The Secretary of State is a cabinet appointee who is responsible for foreign affairs and acts at the direction of the president.1 point

It sounds like those knives were obviously there with the intent of cleaning fish but in this case it is common sense that is getting gutted. I am coming to believe that the zero tolerance crap is not only intended to condition the nation's youth to pee their pants any time they see anything that could remotely be a weapon but also to discourage things like hunting and fishing. You'd think that friggin' PETA was running the country.1 point

Now with Halloween upon us, there ought to not be a shortage of sweets. Though i hardly see Peanutbutter twix either. They used to have a cookies and cream twix which was pretty good but i think they stopped making it. Saw and tried the new Starburst candy corn. A little too sweet for me but it was different. I'm liking the candy corn flavored M&M's though. (WHite chocolate). And never canget enough Baby ruth's. Like a snickers but oh so much better.1 point
