Why did someone call it in? Because they thought it was suspicious. It happens all the time and is one way criminals are caught. Why did the Police respond? Because it’s their job. When a citizen calls in something suspicious the cops go check it out. When dispatchers get to start deciding what’s suspicious; there is a serious administration problem. The Officer is now suspected of felony theft. With his suspension and decommission I assume there is evidence that the vest belonged to the department. If the accusations prove to be true; a bad cop was taken down. I think that makes it pretty clear why the call was made and why Officers responded. I paid for that vest. I don’t like people stealing from me. Good job by the investigating Officers.3 points

Who ever called this in is a giant turd. Who cares if someone bought body armor? I mean come on people. It's not illegal to buy, sell or trade armor. It's only illegal to use it in a crime. Why do people have so much sand in their vag?3 points

Took an old rusty craftsman cabinet. Cleaned, brushed, and repainted. Then took the fiberboard top off and put half a sheet of birch plywood and legs to support the long end. Works nicely [URL=http://s680.photobucket.com/user/owensnj/media/132C71E8-BAF9-4F37-A3E3-7C32B543DCCF_zpsjpr7uby5.jpg.html][/URL] Sent from my iPad using Voodoo magic2 points

I shouldn't say this in the internet, but if I ever catch someone doing something like this in the act, it will probably be me going to jail. If it was my dog, you can bet someone will disappear if I knew who it was.2 points

I don't care what the testimony was, if I was a juror they couldn't beat a guilty verdict out of me. This would be like selling rubbers to hookers. Who cares what they're gonna do with it? Not my business. Or how about someone that buys 30 cans of whipped cream? Seems suspicious like they might be using it for the nitrous oxide, but who's business is that? Maybe they're hosting a kid's party and need lots of topping. Maybe they're having an whipped cream orgy. Who cares? How does that make a business liable if they're going home and huffing nitrous. As for this case, maybe the shop owner thought they were extreme preppers. It doesn't matter anyway since he didnt make the drugs and had no intent to help make them. Stupid stupid stupid times we live in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk2 points

Gotta live a flake.. especially when they wait until the last minute and you know that they never planned to go in the first place. I'm at my sisters place in NYC and she is set to wed an Irishman in April. Yesterday his "best mate" text letting him know that he wouldn't be making the trip but it gets better.. His daughter was supposed to be the flower girl so I'm guessing the 4yr old won't be making the flight on her own. See what happens when you get me going on flakey folks :) . Anyways, I hope y'all's camping trip goes great and everyone leaves with all the body parts that they arrived with!2 points

If he did in fact kill bigfoot, I want him charged for killing an animal (?) in which there is no hunting season, killing an animal (?) that is endangered or thought to be extinct and killing a humanoid type animal (?). He's already confessed, now lock him up!!! Dave2 points

I guess he picked McGavock High School because it reminded him of schools in Chicago. 70 to 80% of students are gang members that attend school there and his audience of students were all hand picked so go figure. As far as I'm concerned he could have picked a complete different state to visit. I also guess he is a really busy guy since he will use Air Force 1 and the expenses of the aircraft and expense of all the security and everything is all being spent and he will be here a total of less than 2.5 hours. I think the money could be better spent with him remaining in Washington D.C. doing his job instead of wasting more tax payer dollars and adding another footprint of carbon in the air to come and talk with a bunch of thugs for an hour.............jmho2 points

So you thought the list of Executive Orders that you got from Fox News or CNN was all there was to it, eh? You wish. http://www.scribd.com/doc/120650415/White-House-list-of-executive-orders-on-gun-violence Attaching a copy of the PDF to this post also.1 point

Letter b with ) makes B) with the BB code onsite. c in parentheses makes (C) (You have to edit and add some spaces if you want to fix it. You can turn BB code off in a post, but it seems to show right back up when someone quotes it.) - OS1 point

I used the stock white counter top and under counter drawer sets for my work bench. I built some custom shelves above it and hung a fluorescent light under the shelves. I mounted a power strip under the counter top and bolted my vice to it. My compressor isn't far away, but think about having easy access to air.1 point

I deal with the these people 4 to 5 days a week 46 weeks out of every year. Let's just put it this way, it's a government agency that are like crossing guards with search, seizure and arrest authority. I see them often treating law abiding citizens like criminals.1 point

I don't buy into that. Go to Gun Broker and do a search on 22lr under the ammo tab. Twenty-two pages of 22lr ammo for sale. The ability for anyone with a PC to sell on the internet to a unlimited buyer base is what's driving the reseller market and fueling the "shortage"1 point

What he said above with my changed comment. If you are wanting to try longer, for a .308, short of hand loading your own, hands down one of the most accurate box ammo is Black Hills in either 168 or 175. Federal GMM is close. Black Hills 168 will get you out to 600-700 yards with really good accuracy. The 175 if you want to take it farther. Before I started hand loading I tried a bunch of various brands. Black Hills always was the most accurate. Southwest Ammo was very close 2nd.1 point

This was posted on another forum. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned here but perhaps it's because it's unlikely to pass. http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/01/tennessee-nullification-obamacare-federal-gun-laws-legislation-introduced/1 point

I've been reading these stories...I truly hope that none of the LE agencies in CA are allowed to use non-compliant guns either...that way, when all the gun makers refused to comply with the law stop selling in CA LEOs won't have firearms either; only the criminals who always ignore the law would have guns. It will never happen that way of course but it certainly would be some poetic justice for the idiots running California these days. I feel sorry for the good, decent, people who live in CA...maybe it's time for them to move.1 point

That's true of many (ahem...) of us. But it won't seem like that when we go for several days at a time without eating. My Dad is obese, but when he has to fast overnight for a blood test or something like that, he acts like he's starving to death. I've sort of gotten myself accustomed to intermittent fasting, but it is still a challenge sometimes. It's much easier to cut down on calories gradually and get used to it. For that, we need food stores. Will1 point

Is this guy saying something like "We will not comply"? At least we are going to have a LOT of people join the fight. BTW... I know Obama didn't try to do it by EO. Still, we have a lot of folks on our side, and this is one indication. David is right. We need to fight hard. We just don't need to lose our will.1 point
