I'd love to know what the grounds of arrest would be, and if they could make it stick without getting themselves in trouble of arresting without cause2 points

Whiskey, SAME thing happend with me. Gobbling their heads off. I probably heard 150 gobbles today but never had one come out into the field I at least was hunting in. Saw 5 hens. 3 hens came to my decoys and farted around for 2 hours, yep...2 hours at my decoys. Not ONE gobbler showed up. They didnt respond much to my calling either which was surprising given how active they were. Oh well, I always learn something! On a side note. I had an adult Fox come up behind me and stand next to me at about 10 years. I could have spit on the thing! He never knew I was there. I already put my gun off safe in case he ran out to my decoys but when he saw them, he stared at them for a few seconds and then turned around and ran off. That was so awesome. I love the woods.2 points

Not challenging but why get another pet if the people youre living with wont like it from the get go? not fair to the pet or your other dog at all, or you...Pets give unconditional love and ask for love,Dachshunds are a breed to their own, and aren't the best dogs to be left alone. My sisters had 3 of em....Your family may get really really disturbed if you bring something home that will be not liked by the majority..........just sayin2 points

Many people know that I carry a gun. Family gatherings when I take my wnd breaker off and open carry and people that are not family but friends that get invited to the shindig. Some of them will eventually get around to that question of. Would you really shoot someone???? Depending on who they are and the tone of their voice when asking has a lot to do with my reply. Most times I will try and be polite and reply only as last resort. If the person asking is kind of cocky like he may be an anti gun person my reply might be yea I would shoot someone and if need be might shoot them several times. I had one guy at a gathering a few months back of family and friends and he was totally determined to try and embarass the fact that I was packing a gun. He was a young cocky friend of one of my older grandsons. My grandson tried to get him to stop asking questions about it. Finally I went out of front porch because we don't smoke in daughters home and he and my grandson followed. He asked me if I felt like a tough guy because I carried a gun and he doubted I would use it or kill someone. I finally turned and looked at him and said, "Son I have killed more men in my life than I would ever want to remember and it is not nor ever will be something I am proud of but people kill people in war. So now you know that i have killed in the past and if it ever came down to needing to defend myself or family or even a total stranger in danger by another yes I would kill again. With that he went back insde and made sure he kept his distance from me till he and his friends left. I was just wondering ow many other folks may have had that question put to them and what their answers were???1 point

So, private sales would be illegal, even though it is technically legal? Good thing police aren't lawyers last I checked.1 point

Another vote for gjohnsoniv... And on this very topic, I got a knife that needs a sheath. I'll be in touch in a week or two. :)1 point

At that store I just walk over to the auto service desk and ask them to page someone to sporting goods for me. Not sure why that one store would stop selling ammo, though. Dunno.1 point

I was really beginning to like you too. And now you start this knife business and drag me in. Now talk of not only more of them, but of the Rockeye, which I really like the look of. How about something in a Tanto style blade? How do you like those?1 point
Needs a light rack, 2in lift and a few off road tires. I miss the old land cruisers. But is that a pearl white? I looks really nice.
In time it will have a Toytec 3" lift with light racing upper control arms 285/75/17 tires and either a replacement rack or an addon light bar. But that will take time and money. It will be muddy soon The color is iceberg. It's just a gloss white. It was dusky last night probably why it looks Pearl.1 point

We may just have to do another run on the Stainless Steel Rockeye's next year, if this one goes as expected, I love the stainless steel handled Pro Techs but they will be more expensive1 point

People that don’t understand why other people carry have never experienced firsthand the violence people will inflict on each other. If someone like your grandsons friend is making those kinds of statements I would assume he has led a very sheltered life. If they are being a smart azz my response is “I can shoot a criminal and go eat lunch; I know that because I have done it.â€1 point

I am so excited that this is going well. And I feel that this might be a gateway drug for some of y'all. These are aluminum handled and great. But Les just finished a couple of prototypes for Pro-Tech of textured stainless steel handled versions. You guys might just start a full collection of Rockeyes.1 point

This (Keurig) when I'm really in a hurry (with my own blend, of course): And THIS when I'm not in a hurry.... I have yet to find anything that makes coffee better than a french press. You all can keep your lousy Wal-mart drip machines :hiding: -- a good cup of coffee is well worth the wait. :drool:1 point

I think suggesting that someone just get a different job is really rather ridiculous. We have more people out of work in this country today than any other time in the country's history - anyone who currently has a job had damn well better keep it. There is nothing wrong with looking around and keeping options open but there is more to a career and finding the right position than whether a company allows firearms on their property.1 point

Put a bayonet on a long Mosin Nagant and you can poke them from the end of the hallway! Get an M44 Mosin carbine and the fight will be over if you fire one round. After that intruders will be deaf and blind and you can use the bayonet! As an FYI, the Russian spike bayonet will very easily go through most interior doors and walls! Personally, I use a Brown Bess Musket with bayonet for home defense. If the .75 ball with four buckshot doesn't get them, then the huge muzzle blast and flash from 90 grains of black powder will stun them. Lastly, if they are not out of the fight yet, then seeing my overweight, naked body come screaming down the hall out of the smoke cloud six feet behind a long, shiny bayonet had better do the trick! :eek:1 point

This is actually typical, most 115 gr 9mm is incredibly week ammo. In fact, Glock 19's have a beveled chamber hood because of ejection problems(it's weird that the 26,17,34 do not have to have it). They say with the Lone Wolf it is a matter of break in and the lighter RSA normally does not fix the issue(G34/35 use the same part number). Contact LW if a 100 rounds of high pressure ammo does not eliminate the issue, this is per their instructions.1 point

When it first came into the country, it was as low as $.11 a round = about $118 for a 1080 round can. Nobody seem to want a lot of it at the time because it was corrosive and not too many folks had AK-74 based rifles. Add in Century Arms making the huge mistake of installing 5.56 barrels into the Polish wz.88 Tantals that they built and the round got an early bad rap for accuracy. Because of these wrong barrels, everybody was up in arms about 7N6, saying that it was so bad that keyholeing was the norm (it was on the internet so it had to be true). Several ammo sellers would offer "Buy Two & Ships Free" just to move the stuff. It wasn't until those surplus NOS Bulgarian barrels and rifle kits arrived that people began to realize how good a round it is. Full disclosure - - - Yup! I already had four cans (4320 rounds) before I even had a rifle that could shoot it! :whistle:1 point

Even if you don't get fat and you keep perfect sight, things start change once you get into your 40s and later...most folks under 40 simply don't understand that or don't want to! It' not just weight because even if you keep yourself in pretty good physical shape there simply are things you either wont' be able to do or just won't be able to do as well at 40 or 50 or 60+ that, when you were 25 or 35 you would have done it without a second thought! ;)1 point

I'm glad new Cabelas is in Bristol, VA and not TN so we won't have to pay sales tax plus their high shipping on online orders. Hell a store in Bristol, TN might as well been in another state anyway as it's 500 miles from the rest of TN.1 point

Well, since you folks have actually gone through their training, I've been hesitant to attend any because I am put off by the arrogance (or what I perceive as arrogance) by the guy that runs the show up there and I visualized the classes as a bunch of him strutting around telling folks how great he is. Is that an accurate characterization of the guy or is he actually a good instructor? The fighting rifle course looks decent, but not if all I am going to hear is him telling war stories for two days.1 point
