1. When I was young I decided to go to Medical School. In the entrance exam we were asked to rearrange the letters 'PNEIS' and form the name of an important human body part which is most useful when erect .     Those who answered spine are doctors today.   The rest of us are posting jokes on the internet.

 3. I thought there was some creepy cracker taking my pic at the shop the other day. You're just jealous of my custom bad ass rig. Some people have to choose between the awesome stopping capability of the .45 and the inherent capacity advantage of the Glock. I call those people sheep. It was hard training my one hand to angle the Glock right while dual wielding, but I think anyone with some sense can agree the results are worth the effort.

 6.   I received my gift today and words cannot express how much I appreciate the lengths my Secret Santa, and his helper, went through to find me a perfect gift. I was honestly at a loss for words upon reading the letter. Caring enough to to do what you did on my behalf is humbling. I am sure it was not easy to find me the perfect gift but you did and I truly appreciate it more than words can say. And I can honestly say that anyone who would do what you guys did, and give me the gift you did, is a true friend. I want you guys to know that if there is ever anything you need please feel free to ask.     And for those of you who are wondering what my Secret Santa gave me, they gave me money. But what they gave me was more than just money. They also wrote a heartfelt letter, that made this gift very, very personal. And cash allows me to buy the perfect gift which, in the end, is all my, or any, Secret Santa wants for the person getting the gift.   In closing I would like to say thanks. Thanks to my Secret Santa for giving me the perfect gift and a personal letter. I would like to say thanks to Metalhead for putting this on. I would also like to thank TGO David for providing us with a place for our TGO family to come together, share our lives , our stories as well as the highs, and the lows, with other members of our TGO family.

 7. Bryant Gumbel interviewed Billy Graham's daughter after 911 attack. Gumbel: Why didn't God stop this or do something about this? Billy Graham's daughter: For years we have told God we didn't want Him in our schools. We didn't want Him in our government and we didn't want Him in our finances and God was being a perfect gentleman in doing just what we asked Him to do. We need to make up our mind- do we want God or do we not want Him. We cannot just ask Him in when disaster strikes. Bryant Gumbel was silent.

 8. I have been looking for a Bersa Plus for quite some time and this is a Bersa Plus 380 Caliber but it is the original Bersa model 85. It was made before they began calling them Thunders. It is the original version of the Plus offered now. I really love this gun. I got to shot it back about 4 months ago but my buddy didn't want to part with it but decided he would trade it for another gun I had. Even swap.......

 10. Just trying to help out.... :usa:     Illegal Christmas Gifts for Guys       Clothing of any kind that has 3 or less syllables in it. Scarf-                    no Underwear-           no Thinsulate camouflaged hunting gloves-               yes   Any tool or gadget that comes from a store that primarily sells cloths.  A wrench set from Dillards-no, a wrench set from Sears- yes.   Excessive hygiene products-  The socially acceptable amount is 1 deodorant and 1 new toothbrush.  Anything over that amount will find its way into a drawer for all eternity in the case of deodorant, or into our gun cleaning kit in the case of a toothbrush.   Any product who’s intended function is to promote participation in household chores.  “Warm slippers” that will supposedly function as an incentive for us to take out the garbage on cold days would fall into this category, as well as violate the 3 syllable clothing rule.   Excessive fruit-  The standard “apple/orange/grapefruit” in the toe of the stocking is acceptable, as long as it’s of the variety that the “giver” will eat.  Only one is permitted, however.   Fruitcake   Volume vs. value violations-  things like candy (of the type we like) are fine, but stuffing a 9 pound bag of cotton candy that has a cubic volume of 2/3 TSV (total stocking volume) is a direct violation, and would further take up valuable space that could have been occupied by items such as Bass Pro gift cards and boxes of shotgun ammo.   Health food-  Read the label, if the total fat content in grams is less than one half of the products weight in grams, we don’t want it.  If the product package contains any of the following words… “granola, Slim Fast, Jenny Craig,  low sodium, organic, or tofu”, put it back.     Any and all gifts that are designed to increase our culture or social standing  in the community.  Two tickets to the ballet, followed by a wine and cheese social…never.  Rush is on tour in 2015…, we’ll only need…, ahem… one ticket.

 20. While I was waiting for my approval on my Shield I bought yesterday a saw a guy in the shop that made me chuckle. He was wearing a DOUBLE under the arms nylon holster with a full size Glock under one arm and what looked to be a 1911 under the other and he was walking around proud. I am glad we have the option to open carry but some people just want attention I guess. I caught a pic, should I post it? It doesn't include his face but I hope he isn't on here.

 21. I've never shot one. Nor do I have the desire to do so.   Wimp. You call it. I've stood beside several of them on ranges. The things I've heard said about them are truly awful.   The concussive blast is terrible standing near it. Worse holding it so I've been told. Noise is unbelievable.   You know...I'm about to talk myself into it after all.   Sounds like fun.

 22. Worse things have happened.  MUCH worse things.   Army will beat Navy again.  It's still a rivalry.  After all, WVU did beat Penn State (in '93 as I recall) after some 30 straight losses.  Miracles do happen.   I have nothing but the highest respect for the cadets and middies.  The academy sports teams are the cream of the cream of the crop.

 32. Yeah the funny thing is if she had a special deputy commission (which seemed to be common at one time as a permit), she would have been exempt from that law.  We need to find a legislator that is very well spoken and respected and can promote a bill to make the fixes to provide exemptions for handgun carry permits in these situations.    As much as I like Constitutional carry, I would much rather use the effort right now to fix the permit system so the people who have a permit can walk around and not have to worry about these sort of problems.

 34. If you're sitting somewhere with a firearm, and you might be committing a felony...  I'd make the officer perform a search, because you may well win that motion in court...  you for sure aren't going to win the motion if you give them permission to search or tell them you are committing a crime.   Bad law, so this charge might just force the legislature to change the law..  nobody should be getting charged for being in a 'school zone' if there are never any students present.

 37. If your boss is buying new inexpensive guns from manufacturers/distributors for those who are on a limited budget, I would tell him to think about ditching the Cobra for Hi-Points. If I was on that kind of budget, I'd probably buy a Hi-Point before anything else offered in that price range.

 38. ^ This right here. Can't say it any better. I will say there's a right way and wrong way to do those little 2 minute jobs, get paid, AND leave your customer feeling great. As someone who's done a bit of guitar setup and repair, I can tell you I have no trouble charging someone $40-$50 to adjust a truss rod(loosening or tightening a nut) adjust their action,(play with some screws" and intonate their guitar (playing with different screws). I also had no trouble charging someone $60 to wrap an eraser with wet dry paper and take out the dent in the fret of their new guitar. Both jobs average 25-30 minutes and take minimal investment. Heck, intonate to your own ear and you can do it with common household tools. But people didn't pay me to play with screws and loosen/ tighten nuts, they payed me because I knew what to do, and how to do it. The biggest thing in keeping people happy was doing a good job, and doing the job AWAY from them. Had the smith in this case taken the gun in a back room, fixed it and brought it out in less than a minute, I'd bet we would be hearing about his magical fixing prowess.

 39. I don't care to tell how much it cost and I think it was very reasonable. $10 for lane rental $25 for full auto rental plus ammo. I would dare say probably the cheapest full auto rental around.

 43. Rather than do or have done any smithing on back of receiver, went with US Machine Gun buffer tube grip adapter with added folding adapter and KAK Super buffer tube. Very pleased over all. The adapter is marvelous, really locks in securely, as had cutout for screw base, not held just by two prongs like the SB-47 SIG brace, compensates well enough for the angle on rear of receiver too. The folding adapter is "okay", locks up nicely horizontally, but has play vertically. In fairness, this doesn't seem to translate to any less efficiency should you decide to misuse the brace by shouldering it. ;) Was also able to add an AR endplate for quick one or two-point sling attachment. For anyone thinking about using the SBX/KAK combo on AR or AK, be aware -- this tube (and the original one they still sell without the castle nut) was made specifically for the SB-15 brace. The SBX brace will NOT reach the retaining flange on the KAK super tube (or the original SB-15 KAK tube either), due to the brace being a bit shorter in the channel than the SB-15 and the fact that part of that length is also denied by the wall in the back of the tube channel, as it is not open all the way through like the SB-15. t will leave about a .7" gap. Which doesn't matter as to functionality, as the back wall in the SBX channel will prevent forward movement on any buffer tube. But I thought it would look a bit odd, so thought ahead and got the spacer kit also, added the short one just for continuity of the look. And tell ya the truth, the only reason I really cared about making it a folder was so it would continue to fit the nice case I had already been using for the pistol in native form. If that folding adapter ever gets so sloppy it's a downside, can always just toss it and go straight into the adapter with buffer tube without it. Will keep the longer KAK spacer just in case, as it will pretty much make up for the difference in length if I do. - OS
