I see several people who should have woken up in a hospital needing emergency surgery to remove a cell phone from their ass. Seriously... I just couldn't do that job. You guys keep that in mind the next time someone posts a "cop bashing" thread here on TGO. This is the sort of B.S. they put up with on a daily basis. If 9 out of 10 people you encountered in your job acted like those assholes, you would probably find it really hard to choke back the expectation that the 10th person was going to be any different. And for what it's worth, the blacks in the ghetto are just the most recent arrivals to the video everything the cops do party. Stupid ass white people started it during during protests and demonstrations, just HOPING to catch one cop at his wits end, finally going upside someone's head with a well-deserved baton or a boot. Freedom gives you a lot of things in this country, but one thing it SHOULDN'T is freedom from consequences. Those highly productive members of black society who were obviously just on a lunch break from their well-paying jobs at Edward Jones and Associates, clearly got lucky and missed the Consequences Bus that day. Martin Luther King must be rolling over in his grave. He died for THIS?!?9 points

That guy resisted because of the taunting from the thugs. Once I had him in the car I would have cuffed and stuffed the loud mouth, and he would have taken the ride with him.4 points

Cops need LOTS more dogs with them. It would be a shame if one or two got loose and ate a few of those pieces of shit.4 points

For starters, the female officer is having to deal with the idiots instead of backing up her partner. And if they did not rile up the perp, he would of just went quietly. Though it did turn out ok, the potential for something to go wrong goes way up when idiots like that one pull these stunks. I fully support being able to film, on both sides, but the crowding of the scene is definitely not ok, and egging on someone resist is probably close to being, if not outright, a crime.3 points

Btq96r you must of seen a different video than I did. While they most certainly do have a right to video tape, they do not have a right to interfere with the officers. Anything that takes the officers attention away from the issues at hand can be hazardous to the officers and the arrestee. And did anyone happen to notice all the comments, many with the cop shooting icon?3 points

I didn't see a thing wrong in that video from either the officers or the onlookers. I wouldn't agree with the demeanor or the language used by the crowd, but they have the right to be there, and say what they want to say. If their actions stepped over the line, there would be a need for consequences, but they didn't. I get that LEO's have to deal near exclusively with assclowns, but if they didn't know that going in, or can't handle it after doing the job for too long, they are free to quit. We pay them- that's right we pay them through our taxes- to behave professionally at all times. The officers in the video didn't demonstrate restraint to me, they did their jobs. As it should be every time. Also, the onlookers have the right to film the police officers. I have a live video streaming app on my phone for that purpose as well that uploads a video as it records, so I can access it later if my mobile happens to have an accident. You can be damn sure it gets turned on every time I encounter an LEO. It's for my personal protection, because quite frankly, I feel the need for that insurance, not because I'm for hoping to catch a cop doing the wrong thing. Thank all the officers who do the wrong thing for destroying my trust in the system.3 points

I attempted a couple of the adjustable back chairs like this a couple of summers ago. The geometry alone was tough to pull off and they were just chairs, not a rocker. So, I commend you on the stringer/rocker work they look very sturdy. I bet an outdoor furniture store in Brentwood or Franklin could easily get $1K for one of those, especially if it were hardwood instead of pine. Find a store like that and see if they do consignment on the first one and if it sells fast, they might be willing to buy from you and sell at a mark-up to their existing customers.3 points

Well I guess I have found it is time to do what I probably should have done back a few weeks ago. That is let folks here know about health issues I found I have. I went to ER back about 12 days before Christmas for a UTI (urinary tract infection) during the tests I found out that I also have type 2 Diabetes. I also learned I have an Aneurism 8 centimeters in size in my abdomen that requires surgery. Before the surgeon would operate she wanted me to consult with a cardiac doctor to see if my heart would survive the surgery. Went in on Thursday for stress tests and a battery of other tests. Not good news. The doctor said I have a couple blockages in my heart according to the tests. Monday I go in for an arterialgram and the doctor said that if he can locate the blockages that he will more than likely install stints at that time to correct the problem. If the heart fix works I am still facing the Aneurism surgery as soon as I recover from the heart issue if it is successful. So that is where my life is right now. Everything in my life has done a 180 in the last month. I have addressed the diabetes and now have it under control but right now. that The UTI is gone are to date the only positives to come out of this. I don't usually ask for much but if any of ya'll could, a prayer or two would really be appreciated. I have been a bit overwhelmed with all that has happened in my life and being able to spend time here since this happened has been great therapy for me. I could not think of a better place to be right now than here with friends2 points

Well, I can understand, since it's not apparently a matter of law, but of a TICS "policy" that apparently nobody has ever heard of before, at least on TGO. Matter of fact, if the reason proves to be accurate, OP should challenge it in court, since he should easily be able to do it for just the low cost of the filing fee. If they can do this, they can also rule that you're a psychotic because you're got script for antidepressants, who knows what else for c'sakes. - OS2 points

I have been in a few of those situations. A K9 Officer shows up and gets a dog out and it’s nothing but azzholes and elbows. Why? Because criminals know those dogs do not give a damn; they are color blind and can’t be intimidated.2 points

Everyone shouid read this... http://www.allenbwest.com/2014/12/quite-possibly-racist-article-will-ever-read/ About Allen West: Allen West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached. He is the third of four generations of military servicemen in his family. During his 22 year career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was a Battalion Commander in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and later in Afghanistan. He received many honors including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals and a Valorous Unit Award. In 1993 he was named the US Army ROTC Instructor of the Year. After his retirement from the Army in 2004, Allen taught high school for a year before returning to Afghanistan as a civilian military adviser to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007. In November of 2010, Allen was honored to continue his oath of service to his country when he was elected to the United States Congress, representing Florida’s 22nd District. As a member of the 112th Congress, he sat on the Small Business and Armed Services Committees and was instrumental in passage of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act. He is a Fox News Contributor, a Senior Fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, and regularly writes for numerous media outlets. Allen is an avid distance runner, a Master SCUBA diver and motorcyclist. His wife, Angela, holds an MBA and Ph.D. and is a financial planner. His older daughter, Aubrey, attends college in south Florida, and his younger daughter Austen, is in high school.2 points

Nothing but a bunch of disrespectful kids that think they're hard and gangsta. They need a father like this guy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ4XUnxupBs I bet that female cop could have took down the mouthy one with camera all by herself. Kudos to the Nash Metro LEO's for handling a situation that most folks would have probably went full parental discipline on those clowns. They definitely exercised some extreme restraint and patience.2 points

My wife wanted a little dog, our daughter just wanted a dog. Neither had ever been around a dog so something as a puppy was mandatory. I wanted a dog with a substantial bark, and decent size. A lab fit all of my requirements and I knew my daughter would adapt. When I saw the thread on here about the litter of pups needing homes, we drove down that weekend and picked Bandit out. She fit in the palm of your hand. For a day or two... The wife and the daughter wouldn't know what to do without Bandit at this point. They both took to her like fish to water. However, a large indoor dog is a job. I suppose one of those little yappy things doesn't make as much of a mess. Here she is at about a month old which was just the right size that no one in the house could say 'no:'2 points

The odds that anyone left in military or even political service in France was there during WWII are astronomically against it. With that in mind, and based on what I have read of the current generation of France's fighting forces written by members of our own elite forces (Rangers, SEALs, etc), running and surrendering are not in their vocabulary. I know, the fact that France's political leaders rolled over and played dead for Hitler in WW2 makes for an easy target and a funny joke. It's also disingenuous to their modern warfighters and, frankly, kind of tired and old. What we should be throwing jabs about is the fact that France seriously restricts private gun ownership in that country and none of that gun control was worth a hill of beans in these most recent terrorist attacks. Even the police are given the option to carry or not to carry a sidearm, and many of them reportedly opt not to. Why in the world?!? I suspect some officers may change their minds after this.2 points

I just checked my Tennessee Instant Check System FFL dealers guidelines manual and it states that one of the reasons that they will deny a firearms purchase is conviction for an alcohol related offense within the last 12 months. My guess is this is your problem. I decided to look this up as Oh Shoot will soon want to add it to his legal library. They are basing this on TCA 39-17-1316 (a) (1) which prohibits persons addicted to alcohol from purchasing a firearm. How they decided one dui qualifies as addicted to alcohol is beyond me but that seems to be the TICS position.1 point

HK USP 45 Is awfully quiet with a YHM Cobra M2 can. I have GEMTECH clone 9mm can that I run on my HK VP9 and Beretta 92 that with 147 FMJ's are quiet. A Beretta 92 can be made to cycle without a booster, which is neat. But with a booster it is exceptionally reliable, so why chance it? I have a Remmy 700 AAC SD in 300 BLK that just clicks with a good suppressor, but I'd still rather shoot a semi.1 point

For work I have taught purchasing professionals that there is a difference between a market based driven price vs. a cost driven price. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but I prefer cost driven. Unless you plan to go into the business, I would recommend a cost based approach. Cost of the wood, fasteners, surface treatment, and your time. Keep it simple.1 point

According to the local news a few minutes ago, George's girlfriend did not feel threatened enough to report the incident until she was stopped for a traffic violation layer in the afternoon. Not condoning George's behavior in any way, but that is an interesting way to get out of a ticket.1 point

I've been using it for a couple years now. Works incredibly well. We were sent some back in 2012 to try out and I've been hooked on it ever since. It stays wet even when running a can and makes cleanup a breeze. What's not to like?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

My last post on this. Travon Martan was no angle and he shouldn't have attacked Zimmerman, no excuse for that. There was no life threatening situation, Zimmerman is an idiot who wanted to act like Mr. Superhero and had no business going any futher than just calling the police. Zimmermans screwed up life IS ABSOLUTLY NO EXCUSE for hitting woman. That makes him far worse than Travon Martan. That really makes him a lowlife scumbag.1 point

In my opinion the lucas most likely made your oil thicker (higher viscosity) and with the cold which also make the oil thicker is making it have lower pressure until the engine and oil warms up. Most likely if the stepper motor in the instrument panel were going out it would (sometimes) not reset all the way to the zeroed position and would work its way higher and higher . (Every time it goes up it thinks that is the 0 and restarts from there until it tacks out the gauge) Sometime acting normal and others not but very noticeable none the less.1 point

I grow weary of all the "French just roll over" talk. Does no one remember what they did for us in the Revolution? How many of them died in WWI? In WWII, who was it that held off the Germans outside of Dunquerque (sp) so that over 200,000 Brits and Canadians could escape, against near suicidal odds? The French did. Who was it that saved untold numbers of downed allied airmen from the Germans, under threat of torture and death? The French Resistance. C'mon folks. They've been with us from the beginning, generally willing to go into hell with us, knowing we'd back them up if sh** went sideways. Their political leaders be d@mned, they are some brave folks, unafraid of getting into the fray.1 point
-
The French have been a US ally for a long time. We would have had a harder time gaining independence if the French did not get into the conflict. They practically went broke helping us fight the British during the revolutionary war. They gave us the Statute of Liberty and we helped them in WW1 and WW2.1 point

Too little too late. They've let this muzzy filth into their country for years. Let them infiltrate and do what those rats do best. Now, they have to live with it. Haha! Yea, me too Mike. Except the Godfather part... I love that thing, but the only things that gets cut when I play with that one is ME! Haha! Seriously, I must just be an idiot. I'll keep the Godfather as a showpiece and that's about it. I'm not man enough to use the thing properly or safely, I guess!
