Something that has occurred to me that most people may not consider. I have a fairly large collection. Some of which are considered rare collectibles and quite valuable. If I were to get "Red Flagged" and my guns taken, do you really think they would treat my guns as the valuables they are? Nope! They'd throw them into piles and boxes and haul them away like so much trash. Then only to be thrown in some evidence room/ locker, neglected and allowed to rust. Then say I win my case and my guns are returned. The scratches and damage to them will considerably affect their value. Will I have any recourse to sue the government for this loss? I really doubt it.6 points

“…..should always carry.” nope. Some shouldn’t even own a gun, much less carry it. Everyone should be interested in their own protection and take some precautions and have some level of training with their preferred method. But I’ll never tell someone that they don’t do enough because they don’t carry.5 points

I called my State Senator Steve Sutherland's office & left a message with the person who answer's his calls. I told him what I was calling about, gave him my number if the Senator wanted to talk about this. An hour later Senator Sutherland called me & assured me he did not support this garbage Lee proposed. Big thumbs up for Senator Sutherland!!3 points

In my experience, the comp on the macro really helped it return back to zero pretty quick. Still has that snappy feel but its a small gun. All small guns will have that snappy feel. Was thinking about getting the tacops without the comp but after shooting it, I'm going for the macro.2 points

Well said!! Funny how they try to ramrod their agenda down our throat with a razor thin majority, but in TN when their opponents have a super majority like 75% of the seats, they claim democracy isn't being served and cry about it being unfair that they can't get their way.2 points

I grabbed one too. It's always nice to have an extra knife I can stash somewhere handy and not cry if it disappears or give away.2 points

I think that part of the problem is that our judicial system is WAY too easy on people who break gun laws. If the penalties for illegal use of a firearm were enforced to the full extent of the law I think there would be less of this kind of thing. Right now one can get away with lying on a 4470 (Hunter Biden springs to mind!), and criminals get away with very minor punishments. Perhaps if being caught with an illegal firearm landed the criminal in jail for a significant amount of time there would be fewer people engaging in illegal carry. (I'm thinking of those who are prohibited from possessing a firearm, either under-age or those with criminal records.) The penalty for having a firearm during the commission of a crime should require serious time in prison, and for actually using one in a criminal manner should send the criminal away for many years. Maybe the Alabama BD party shooter will fall into none of the categories I just mentioned, but I'm for taking drastic measures against CRIMINALS (not law-abiding gun owners) when they use a gun wrongly.2 points

That's the Holy Grail of gun banners. Electronic controls on all guns so that the government can shut it down! About as smart as putting combination locks on fire extinguishers.2 points

Well, I'll say this, no matter if she ran her mouth, called them racial slurs, or whatever, it does not mean she needed a beatdown from three assailants. I am definitely not in the shape I once was, and if one or more try and give me a beatdown, someone is not walking away. I am armed, and if I become incapacitated, they will then be armed if they are not armed already, so I will not allow myself to become incapacitated if I can help it. I have this attitude because I know I will not be the aggressor in that kind of situation, I am not one to start fights, and will walk away if I can. So there is no chance I will be involved in a drunken brawl, specially because I am armed most times.2 points

I don’t think Sevierville, PF or G’burg are bad through the week, except when schools are letting out at 3:30. Other than then, you should be fine.1 point

SARCO Inc usually has a few and their inventory fluctuates. They have some Brazilian Mausers in now as well as some Makarovs and Lugers. They get some US milsurp in now and then - get on their mailing lists and you'll get a weekly update from them.1 point

Wheels through Time is worth the trip. Traffic shouldn't be horrible mid-week provided you miss the usual busy times.1 point
-
Midweek you should be ok, should being the operative word. Running 40 to Exit 20 in NC is not as scenic, but probably saves you 30 minutes. You could always try through the park going or coming1 point
-
You'd be coming through post spring rod run so it may not be so bad in the park. Be aware though the "spur" ,the road between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, is down to 1 lane due to repairs and improvements to the tunnels so prepare for that. And if you plan on stopping anywhere in the park more than 15 minutes you'll need to purchase a parking permit which costs you $5 I think1 point

Well..glad I didn't risk going. Would have been a real problem for me, and a disapointment as well. Like all above, I miss the golden days of real Gun Shows! Where you could find hidden treasures and great guns; good people and some good buys, and could leave thinking...how am I going to explain all this stuff to my wife? I haven't had to do that since roughly 2011-2012.1 point

That is the scariest thing about this so-called Administration. If you think about the known list, that’s really saying something. It’s a relatively simple but adamant playbook as they continue to erode our constitution. They have no reservations with overreach, merrily ignore the different branches of government, chronically deny any wrongdoing & simply double-down when caught, then consistently weaponize agencies against any citizens who call them out.1 point

YES PLEASE!! And strangely enough she looks even better today. (My wife & I go to a lot of SCI-CONS, she knows freakin’ everybody and always introduces me ).1 point

It was a birthday party. Should have been a fun time. But it appears that an argument started and somebody decided to settle it with a gun. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Sadly, that's the world we live in today. Young people have no value for human life and kill each other for the most trivial of reasons. We have failed as a society.1 point

Two lessons to draw from this. 1. Nobody can be as cruel as a child. 2. Children are all too quick to become violent. Sad, but this is what our society has become.1 point

Probably not a popular choice around these parts, but I have a Boker Kalashnikov Tanto. It was one of the cheapest ones out there, when they legalize autos to carry here in Tennessee. I wanted to see what it was all about, so I bought one for $45 at SMKW. AUS8 Steel, I believe. I still carry it. Not a bad knife at all, and I've had zero issues with it. It has a safety, you have to push, in order to open the blade. This one is D2 steel, but still around the same price. Boker Auto Kalashnikov Tanto Black D2 | SMKW1 point
