  1. When you shoot the first one; the others leave. I guess it’s possible they would all stay and engage you; but my experience with criminals makes me doubt that.

  2. Man, oh man. Guy just came in, had Armalite AR10T, with documentation from the factory that it was the 60th one made. Had a Leupold 6.5 x 20 - 50 scope and six mags... and he wanted to sell it...

  3. There are way too many "wrong places" that can happen at any time. Keep your head on a swivel & always be prepared.

  4. What the Aunt should be asking is why was the 3 teens wearing masks and out at that time of the night and why did they have a gun or guns??? It is always good boys that are all members of a choir at the local church that got killed according to family members........ It does not matter what the homeowner and his family was out in their yard at 4 AM doing. That does not give the punks the right to attempt to rob them and use a gun in the process. They just picked the wrong people to rob but they won't be robbing anyone else or being good boys singing in a choir.........JMHO

  6. I feel your struggle. I am a protector by nature. That's why I joined the Marine Corps, worked in high risk security, and became a police officer. At 59 and with numerous injuries/illnesses I feel that I risk serious bodily harm from any attack; however, my instinct to protect would probably overcome clear thought under the stress of the moment.

  7. It really pizzes me off that the victim of an attempted home invasion by mask men firing guns at him has to worry about making a statement. While the Aunt of the violent criminals wonders if they were shot in the back. Armed thugs that have committed a violent crime are still an immediate threat; even when running in the opposite direction. They need to either thrown down their weapon and surrender; or be shot.

  8. I would hate to shoot someone but, they seem to be like a pack of crazed dogs. If you ran toward them and yelled for them to stop, who knows if that would work? Shooting one or more before they killed that guy might be the only alternative.

  9. Yep, thats why they travel in packs. Alone they are cowards. That is why I would hope if had to get involved and shoot any of them I would be able to pick out the leader first but I think shooting a couple would send the rest packing. Hope so anyway.

  10. No, you're fine Mikey. This spread far and wide. It's worth a thread. Even if it's not true - it makes you question why you'd trust a rep like that in the first place.

  11. I don't know the group or the product. It may be a fine document, but I can assure you having an attorney you can call is worth paying a little more than going with the best price available.

  12. For encouraging me to build another AR-15 that I don't need... just because I can! Picked up a stripped lower to start another build today.

  13. This letter is evidence of something David and I were talking about yesterday. A lot of the gun industry’s woes are self-inflicted by a bunch of folks who work in it opening their mouths when they’d be better off just keeping them shut.

  14. Well, I did find out it has a leaf spring for its main spring but cant find and internal pictures. Heres a target model. yeah a target model without a wide spur hammer & trigger. IDK...... Good Luck to them and the snake fanatics with the extra $$$. https://www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2019/9/7/new-for-2019-colt-king-cobra-target/

  16. They can’t compete in todays market. Too many players with good products, at a lower cost. (AR's & 1911's) They can try to bring back their revolver line. But I doubt there are enough buyers in high priced revolvers to keep them going. They might have a chance if they priced themselves in line with S&W and Ruger; but I doubt they will. They need a polymer gun cops will want. (So the civilian market will want it) They tried that once and fell flat on their face. https://www.investopedia.com/articles/markets/071315/why-colt-went-out-business.asp

  19. Like Dave, If I get a call and their name is not in my phonebook and shows up on the phone I don't answer them. I have had a few friends call and their number didn't show up so they would send me a text telling me who it was and thats their new number and I would call them back and update my phone book. The problem with me doing a poll of my own I would be very hard pressed to find someone I know that is not a gun owner...........JMHO

  21. Mine was not the hybrid model. Standard AR that took mags designed for the 7.62X39 round. If I wanted to get an AR that shot 7.62 I would go with one of the newer hybrids that is designed to shoot AK mags. Make sure they have a wider firing pin, 7.62 has a harder primer and sometimes the small AR firing pin does not set them off.

  24. Very much yes. If you see flashes of light, get to an eye doc immediately. The time frame is similar to having a stroke, it's not something to mess around with. Lighter lenses or different frames. Comfortable glasses tend to be expensive. I switched to contacts because I kept breaking my glasses.

  25. To give you an idea of the cost of this just the Sambar Stag for the handles cost $160 before shipping. The custom leather/Caiman sheath was made by one of our own on the forum....1911alltheway.

  27. Has the war on drugs worked? Yes/no? Answer-No. Legal weed is in fact cheaper than illegal weed. Prices in the legal states have plumetted thanks to competition. Capitalism is awesome! These threads always show the people that actually love freedom and the ones that want government control. DeerSlayer, not directing this at you specifically. But you can't simultaneously say that "banning drugs will keep people from getting them" while also saying "banning guns won't keep criminals from getting them." They are one in the same.

  29. Why is this so hard to understand???!!?? What happens at an FFL dealer is a background check on YOU. No one gives a chit about the gun you are buying. It is in no way "registered".
