  1. One of two things would happen 1: They would have had to shoot me. 2: Two I would have gotten my Wife out. I would probably be dead or going to prison but I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn't do it.

  2. Every time you think that surely it can’t get any worse a new detail is revealed and we find out that it absolutely gets worse. https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2022/06/21/officer-husband-of-slain-uvalde-teacher-was-detained-had-gun-taken-away-after-trying-to-save-wife/ Before this is all over with there is a significant possibility that Pete Arredondo‘s name will be placed next to Lon Horiuchi’s in the hall of shame of egregious acts of malfeasance by law-enforcement.

  3. "Everybody wants to be a gangster until it's time to do gangster ####." I knew there were Shaq sized clown shoes on everyone the first time I heard "key" and "breach" in the same sentence. If they want to have equipment and training like soldiers, they need to be ready to move out like soldiers. Three Privates and a Specialist for a team leader could have handled this situation. It's pretty clear they had all the tools in hand to deal with the situation. Maybe there is some allowance for confusion over the active shooter vs. hostage belief...but even then with kids the rules change as I understand it. This is an abject failure all around, and if there is no accountability, that will make it all the worse.

  4. If you intend to reuse the pin (Sig looks at these as one time use), a punch isn’t the best way to go. It works with basing amount of deformation of the pin. This is what I use for Sig FP pins. Greatly reduces the chance of buggering up the slide and won’t deform the ends, making easier to drive. Generally can’t tell the pin was removed/replaced. If you succeed with the punch, I’d still recommend considering an arbor press. You won’t want to use a hammer for this job ever again. great for controlled staking or hammer jobs that carry higher risk of damage.

Don't be shy with reasonable trade offers. Lever guns are top of the list, but 10mms, PCCs, .22LRs, whatever are welcome, too. 8. A slightly used (50ish rounds) Pietta 44. caliber 1851 Navy revolver is up for grabs today. Included in sale is the pistol itself, powder, caps, "bullets" (ball park 40ish but I haven't counted), cleaning supplies, etc. all pictured. I can't find it yet but I also have a nice, soft side, pistol case for range transport that will be included. It is a fun gun to shoot and a great show piece. It sat on my desk (I work from home) for a while then got moved to the safe and now I am just looking for some dough for future purchases. I am asking $325 for the lot. but I will consider reasonable offers. Please feel free to reach out with questions. I am in Sumner county and am willing to drive down to Nashville or other areas within 30-45 minutes. Cash and Face to face only.

I got guy that will carry the gun and trypod, but I hate putting someone out like that. 22 hours of riding in a truck just to carry my stuff.

  17. He also said the door was not locked and they never even attempted to open it. They didn't need a key. The door wasn't capable of being locked from the inside because something was wrong with the lock. They just completely #### the bed on this one. Kids died because of their decisions. The police chief sounds like a clown. He showed up without a radio. Additionally, their radios didn't work inside the school. The diagram of the school they were using to make decisions was partially wrong. Only the border patrol agents radio worked but not without some issues. Just an all around disaster.

  20. As a former LEO I have mixed feelings about this. While I understand the importance of proper back-up and equipment, I don't think that I could stand by while children were being shot. I probably would have done something "stupid" but at least I would try to save children's lives.

  28. "Defender", Not a big difference, to me between, C Duty and C Defense. Critical duty is what they had for sale at the time. To get technical, the duty supposed to have a slight edge on higher power, when fired in 4" and 5" brls. I like higher power (+ P) and heavy bullets in 9 MM ammo. Aids in recycle function and bullet performance, IMO.

  29. I carry a G19 sized gun, so that’s essentially a full-size. I’m a truck driver and spend probably 80% or more of my waking hours in and around vehicles. The barrier blind properties of the critical duty round’s flex lock bullet are something that are important to me. I do use the critical defense in my Hellcat as that is a round choice that is designed for the subcompact format.
