  1. A 14 year old boy used a slingshot to save his 8 year old sister from a would be kidnapper. Smart and brave kid. https://www.theblaze.com/news/michigan-boy-thwarts-abduction-sister-slingshot

  3. This is a nice JM Marlin model 336 R.C. made in 1967 so no cross bolt safety. It is chambered in .30-30. The wood is in very good shape and the bluing is still strong. The bore is shiny, and the rifling looks sharp. It has had a sling stud added to the stock and there is one on the fore end band. It is missing the front sight hood. It currently has a Williams Peep sight attached. I am asking $800 $750 without the peep sight. If you want the peep sight, $850. $800 $750. I have decided to keep the peep sight for my 44Mag. I can post photos without the peep sight if wanted. Located in Nashville, for sale to folks 21 and older who can legally own a firearm. TN license or HCP flash. More photos upon request.

  4. These have been sitting in the safe for several years doing nothing. I thought I'd throw them out here just to see what I could get. Bear in mind that I don't need to sell them, I've just lost interest in them. Cash prices are firm for now. Forgive the pictures. I just ain't much of a photographer. Buyers must be Tennessee residents, be legal to buy a handgun, show ID and fill out a BOS. Beretta 85FS Cheetah .380 acp Made in 2016. This gun is in excellent condition. I've only fired 50 rounds through it. Function was flawless. Comes with 3 magazines, cardboard box, plastic case and all paper work. $650 Taurus PT-25 DAO .25 acp Excellent condition. This gun is Double Action Only. Comes with 2 magazines, plastic case and manual. $200 Possible trades: I'm open to just about anything. No shotguns or plastic guns. Always looking for 1911s, S&W, Colt or other quality revolvers, .22 rifles or pistols, Also kinda fond of oddballs. Make me an offer!

  5. I realize it is slightly off since he specified a rifle, but a 870 set up for slugs can work quite well and is a tad easier to run than a lever action.

  6. I’ll continue praying for you and her. Throughout my life I have earned the scars and a full, deep understanding of pain, anger, grief, fear. I know that I’m not the only one here. And even with all that, I cannot pretend to know and feel the depth of what you are going through. But I do understand that it is deep abiding pain. I can empathize with that part. Someone has already said it, but just know that you have people praying for you and your family. Nobody here can know just the right thing to say, and I’m scared to death that if I tried to say what I thought was the right thing at a time like this, the words would just seem hypocritical and empty. All I can do is pray for you, and that I will do.

  8. I don't pretend to know your pain, but I totally get the anger. I'm the same way. Your wife needs you more than anything right now. The only way to get through it is together. May God have mercy on your family.

  9. Here's the thing. IF they pass this, they know its illegal, they know the State is going to take them to court and they know they will lose. That means lawyers that the tax payer will have to pay for. How many thousands of tax payer dollars are they willing to spend just to make a stupid statement? Its a complete waste of time and money.

  12. Well the local news, Channel 3, made this there 2nd story at 10:00pm. Only a shooting beat it for top place. They're presenting it as if its a real thing that politicians want to make happen. https://wreg.com/news/local/memphis-city-council-members-propose-gun-reform-measures/ “We’re passing this ordinance understanding that we will be sued by the state of Tennessee,” Smiley said. “But we will stand our ground and make sure that people in the city of Memphis will be safe.” Just when you thought politicians couldn't get more stupid, one comes along to prove you wrong.

  13. Well I shot today first time since losing my finger. Tryed my rough rider 22 my shield plus and my 1911. I was able to hold them all just fine but was shooting 6-8 inches low with all of them. Just have to re learn how to do a steady grip I could see myself moving around in the sights. To top it off my rock island 1911 factory mag ( KCI) came apart inside the gun. Required a block of wood and a mallet to get the slide stop to move and inbind the gun. I inserted the mag and ran the slide and it stayed in the slide lock position. Kimber mag did fine.

  14. Very likely. But look at how stupid it makes them look. Then again, in Memphis, stupid is a way of life.

  15. There have been rumors of this for a couple of weeks now. It appears that next Tuesday it will be presented to the Memphis City Council. Local news tonight reports that a couple of Memphis City Councilmen are fed up with crime and intend to introduce city legislation on gun control. The proposed law will: 1. Outlaw permitless carry within Memphis city limits. 2. Make it a violation to store a gun in a vehicle. 3. Outlaw owning an "assault weapon" inside the city limits. Never mind that this would be in violation of State law. They intend to try it. Hopefully smarter members of the city council will kill this stupidity quickly. But I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they tried it.

  20. Kano was a Bandog Mastiff ... a friend use to breed some serious dogs that were used in one of the hulk movies and on the old fear factor show with Joe Rogan. Curly from the fear factor show was also one of Joes dogs. I had a male and a female from litters sired by Kano and Curly. Kano is the dog on a chain towards the end of the video he was still a young dog when Joe filmed it. A multi generation (strategically) Mixed bred dog for the purpose of realistic protection against humans. https://youtu.be/vu9U4es91B4 Kano at the end of the video. https://youtu.be/HN6_7jSyxrE Curly older but still a serious dog. https://youtu.be/3jdULSNQHTc Fear Factor the second time they were on TV.

  27. Been in aviation maintenance since the mid 80’s. It’s tuff being in this career field and not have lost a few jobs and had to move around the country. In aircraft maintenance circles a part that you use once and then throw away is an Expendable, I’ve felt that way more than once.

  28. Same for me, but not AOL. I wanted a Star Wars handle back in the early days of the Interwebz, but of course all the common characters were taken and I didn't want to be BobaFett3728 or Vader7561. I landed on monkeylizard as the first obscure SW thing I could find that wasn't already taken. It's what Jabba the Hutt's pet thing is.

  29. I don't think that's how it works nowadays. What you now have is these liberal groups that threaten them if they don't take certain stances on certain social issues. Yes, they do these things in a calculated manner, but these Soros funded groups are threatening to make all out war against them if they don't do their bidding. Look at the whole Bud Light deal. They aren't stupid, they knew they were going to get some backlash by having a trans in their advertising, but they calculated that it wouldn't be as bad as if they had told Soros no. I think they miscalculated pushback, but they are really in a no win situation money wise. This same thing has happened to NASCAR, the NFL, banks, and all other sorts of big corporations. There is a whole lot more to this than just some association and corporation executives deciding they want to "go woke". Most associations and corporations had rather just stay out of politics, and concentrate on what they make or otherwise offer the consumer, but their hand is being forced by these Soros funded groups. These woke groups have a lot more power than we do, they have the media on their side and have to power to completely destroy even the biggest corporations. About all i can do is spread the word and just not give them any of my money.

  30. While this comment from Kennedy may not apply to this particular murderer, it is something I was not aware of. No tinfoil hat, but the influence of Big Pharma should be concerning Robert Kennedy Jr.: “With all of these shootings nobody’s looking at the pharmaceutical contribution to that. Anecdotally, it appears that almost every one of these shooters were on SSRIs or some other psychiatric drug. And this is only happening in America where all of these people are taking these psychiatric drugs. We take four times as many [psychiatric drugs] as any other country in the West. The average European country, something happened. Prior to the introduction of Prozac, those shootings just were almost unknown, and now they’re an everyday affair. But NIH will not study that because it will offend the pharmaceutical industry. And it’s something that we ought to be studying.”

  33. I like Chuck Taylors. Don’t wear them much anymore because old man feet don’t like shoes with zero support, but I got one pair I still break out occasionally. When I first joined I actually used Chuck Taylor, but then I discovered there was a fairly well known firearms trainer by that name so I changed it.

  37. My hair went gray in my mid 30s. Its a family trait. When my son's were young, I spent 12 years as a Boy Scout Leader. During that time I took an advanced Scoutmaster training course called Wood Badge where I was assigned to the Fox Patrol. It took my fellow scouters all of about 30 seconds to dub me "The Gray Fox". The nickname just sorta stuck.

  44. There is little doubt that he did do a considerable amount of planning what he was going to do. His Manifesto provides that. He was smart enough to purchase all his firearms from individual sellers to avoid back ground checks. I have made the statement several times and I will make it again. "Just because a person is crazy does not make them stupid"!!! He went prepared to do much more damage and killing than he did. The one thing he didn't count on was 1 single police officer being nearby being prepared to do his job. The officer was a blessing and a hero.

  45. Friend, I wish I could offer some valuable advice that would help you, but I'm empty on anything for your situation. Do your recommended treatment regime, and do it as frequently as your therapist recommends. Darrel is right, follow therapist advice and ask about home frequency; as well as other exercises that might help. The only even remotely similar issue I've had was a torn tendon in 3rd finger, the one above pinky. Did all the required stuff, but still have a bent finger. It will not straighten out and has a pronounced "hook" to it. Not bad, just a bit irritating at times. It does affect my grip just a bit. I have to be aware of my grip, but otherwise ok. I offer my prayers for you recovery.
