  3. From Stickman's (industry photographer) Facebook page... and 100% spot on...     Stop congratulating yourselves! With the recent announcement of democrats NOT pressing forward with another AWB, the firearm industry seems awash in praises and congratulations. To these people and industry experts, I can only say "STOP CONGRATULATING YOURSELVES"! The larger picture has been missed, and people are fat dumb and happy with having beaten the liberals. If you fall into that category, please stop. Seriously. If I told you I was going to beat you to death, would you not feel more than slightly offended? Would you not be upset with the threat, especially if I tried to carry it out? Would you feel it was suddenly ok if I only broke your nose, or fractured your eye socket? Would you be good with that? Would you congratulate yourself, and would your friends think it was awesome? Let us make no mistake that additional restrictions are about to be placed while people are dancing and congratulating themselves. The death of a thousand cuts is being carried out to the 2nd Amendment right in front of us, and the end is certainly near. The idea of ending personal sales without a background check is simply the first step in logging, tracking, and eventual restriction of firearms. Remember that each and every "background check" is done via computer and logged. If you are still smug in having "blocked the libs", your heart might be in the right place, but your head is not in the game. Stay safe, Stick Share it if you agree, and as always, civil comments are welcome.

  4. I know this is their tactic, but I always wondered how they'd sue when some grief stricken family member of a fallen Servicemember drives a dump truck through their picket line and turns them into greasy stains.

  5. I'm not buying ammo at the current ridiculous prices anymore than I'm paying $1200 for a DPMS AR-15 or paying $55 for a 10/22 mag. I feel like a cranky old man but I'm getting tired of this bull$hit.

  8. That crap isnt representitive of a race. That crap stems from an individual lack of responsibility. I wonder if our forefathers turn over in their graves everytime a white kid does something stupid? It's about the individual. Yeah, it seems that there are a lot of blacks doing stupid crap, but there are far more black people working their asses off and trying to be good citizens just like most of us on this forum. As for that guard, maybe I could feel bad for him if his videos showed something other than him freaking out and losing self control. I'm certain that he is not dealing with angels, but this guy goes from 0 to 100 in almost every case. He has no authority, yet he comes off just as verbally abusive and aggressive as the clowns that he is dealing with. I'd like to see him at least attempt to defuse a situation before going straight into his " I'll whoop a n#%^*{ ass routine. In my opinion he is as bad as the patrons of that dungeon that they call a mall. You would never catch me there. I've never been a mall cop, but I've have had a couple of jobs where I found myself in similar situations and the last thing that you want to do is make the situation worse by behaving in the same manner as the people that you should be controlling. Even when you have to kick ass, you can do it like a pro and without all off the mouth. My opinion and $5.00 gets you a venti frap.

  10. I think the demand on these retailers is drastically underrated. For a long time it was just people like us ordering a hammer here and a barrel there, but now it's order insanity. It's not stopping either. My last order from Midway took a while and it was tiny. I would not be to harsh with these stores right now there just overwhelmed. And just hiring some low end minimum wage workers to handle fire arm sales is probably a bad idea.

  13. I would say hold off on shooting until the craziness ends. The reason ammo is being sold at 300% markup on Armslist is because people are paying it, and that is the same reason ammo will remain out of stock. So long as people are willing to pay stupid prices, bubba will wait in line at Walmart so he can turn around and sell it to you. If people chilled the hell out for a second and just stopped paying stupid prices it would all go back to normal. Bubba would have to sell the ammo back at relatively normal prices because he can't have hundreds of dollars tied up in ammo.... smokes and Natty Lite ain't gonna buy themselves ya know.

  14. Hey, that design predates the shortages so it has to be worth 2x-3x as much now. Especially considering it is used to catch semi auto brass. I need to find a black pillow case and sell it as a "tactical" brass catcher. The word "tactical" adds 50% to the price these days.

  24. I just wanted to put out the information again about the 2nd Amendment rally that we are having on the 29th of March. It will be at 6 p.m. at the Freedon Deli restaurant, which is in Lowe's Plaze off of Wilma Rudolph Blvd. Senator Mark Green will be there to talk about where TN stands in regards to the 2nd Amendment. There will also be a speaker form the Nation Rifle Association. Please come out and help support what so many people have sacrificed to protect. Even if you aren't a gun owner or shooting enthusiast show your support by attending. You just might learn something and you may make some good friends. And I know that you will have some good food if you eat at Freedom Deli. If you like yours spicy then go for the "Smokin Gun" sandwich.     Dave S

  28. I emailed Lisa Knight when I was waiting on mine, and she had told me it was approved and that it had been sent to the print farm. She told me to wait 10-14 business days. But 2 days later, it was in the mailbox. Of course that was in 2010, and the USPS isn't what it used to be, not that it was that great to begin with. We have mail swap day almost daily in my neighborhood, so I'd email or call Lisa to check the status, to whether it was just "approved" or sent to the print farm.

  32. Magpul's Latest...   With the signing of the HB 1224, we want to reassure Colorado residents, now officially in occupied territory, that the "Boulder Airlift" will continue until we can no longer legally ship to CO residents at the approach of the July 1 deadline, so long as demand continues. We are looking at additional ways to give Coloradans the opportunity to buy the magazines they need prior to the enactment date, as although we've been swamped with tens of thousands of orders, our shipping department limitations have only allowed us to get a few hundred thousand magazines out to CO residents...a small portion of our monthly production. We'll continue to support the Airlift as long as demand exists, and up to the active date of the legislation, and we've allocated a little over a million magazines for the effort up to that point, give or take. Customers in the rest of the country should rest assured that the airlift only takes a small portion of our production, and magazines and other products are continuing to ship to the rest of the nation. Our transition to a new home will occur in a phased and orderly a manner to allow us to continue to serve our customers during the move, as well as to allow an orderly transition for affected employees. We are actively working on those plans.

  46.   Well, then, just as devil's advocate the argument really COULD be made that those same individuals wouldn't be able to act upon their desire to be mass shooters if firearms weren't so readily available.  Personally, I have never heard of anyone murdering a large group of people with a video game.   Honestly, I don't think we need to make scapegoats of video games any more than we make scapegoats of firearms.  Like guns, video games are inanimate objects.  They don't kill anyone and they don't 'cause' anyone to become killers any more than firearms do.  Blaming one inanimate object in order to remove blame from another is simply ridiculous, IMO.   I remember when heavy metal music was supposedly 'causing' people to commit suicide.  Bullcrap.  Mental instability and a desire to kill themselves did that - it was simply easier to blame the music than to accept that the person committing suicide was, somehow, mentally flawed.  I listened to such music (and still do) and I have survived.   I remember when playing Dungeons and Dragons was supposedly 'causing' people to flip out and kill their parents, etc.  Bullcrap.  Mental instability and some deep-seated problems did that - it was simply easier to blame D&D than to accept that the person committing the crime was, somehow, mentally flawed and that there was probably no way of knowing that until he or she committed a crime.  I used to play D&D - along with other RPGs - and have reached the age of 41 without murdering anyone.   Now it is video games and movies that are causing such things.  Bullcrap.  I've played video games for years.  I grew up watching Dirty Harry, Death Wish, The Terminator and so on.  None of those things made me go on a murderous rampage.   Hell, I even survived a childhood full of hearing horrible stories from this really old book about things like a guy who bashed his brother's head in with a rock because he was jealous, a woman who was devoured by dogs (except for the soles of her feet and palms of her hands), a supposedly 'righteous' man who plotted to murder (sacrifice) his own son because the voices in his head told him to do so and a really powerful being that destroyed all life on Earth with the exception of one man and his family.  I got through it all without becoming a raving lunatic - and if graphic, bloody violence like that contained in those stories won't screw someone up then I don't know what will!   People were committing horrible atrocities long before video games came about.  Some people would commit horrible atrocities even if they were never exposed to a single video game, movie, etc.  Heck, people even managed to do pretty horrible things to each other (and themselves) before guns were invented.  I'm not buying that video games have a thing to do with it beyond being a convenient scapegoat to avoid the fact that some people are simply downright bad from the word go.

  47. Then let’s start here….   I voluntarily answered my country’s call during the Vietnam War. I have two honorable discharges and served my country as a cop after I got out. I don’t think that gives me any state mandated special privileges and certainly not more gun rights that any citizen. I also don’t think that just because someone hung out for 20 years they get some special treatment that combat veterans don’t get. (I am not a military combat veteran) I have an HCP because I am lucky enough to be able to afford it. I certainly wish all citizens of the state of Tennessee could enjoy their gun rights; and maybe someday they can. If the state is going to start reducing the price of gun privileges; I would suggest they do it with those that can’t afford a permit.
