I prefer the gen3 but the 19 is the perfect handgun. Just don't point it at your butt. Lol!4 points

Well, pretty much! This big feller was running down OHB close to the Nolensville Road intersection. My wife after a while and some burger bribing got him to get into her Rogue. She took him to the vet and had his toenails clipped and checked for a chip. He had one, and she got ahold of the previous owner. But she had sold the dog and had no contact info on the person she'd sold him to. We're putting ads up tomorrow and hopefully the rightful owner will get their dog back. I'm sure someone is worried sick. Well, I hope so, I hope he wasn't dropped somewhere! He is HUGE!! 129 pounds and for now he's not sure about me but loves the girls. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of Mr. P. (My daughter said he's as big as a pony so Mr. Pony it is) :rofl:3 points

This seems like it could be a no-win situation to me. Calling 9-1-1 is good advice but given the way I've seen a lot of police act recently if it's a real cop and he orders you out of your vehicle and you don't comply he may well bust out your side window, pull you out of your vehicle by force and then taze youwhile you are trying to call 9-1-1 to verify that you are dealing with a real cop.2 points

Either way the decision is confusing. The American flag ban was deemed constitutional because there were threats of violence from the "pro-Mexican" students and the school can ban things to prevent violence, but the Cinco de Mayo students could not be banned from wearing Mexican flag shirts because they had not been threatened with violence? Am I reading that right? Threats of violence (illegal activity) are what deem something constitutional or unconstitutional? Potential illegals, using illegal threats of violence against US citizens, are ruled constitutional and protected and encouraged to flaunt said protection. American citizens who do not engage in illegal activity are ruled unconstitutional and are threatened with legal and punitive administration. Got it.2 points

It is absurd that I am trusted to carry a firearm in this state yet face a Class A misdemeanor for having a knife with a blade length of 4.1 inches, or a switchblade knife, which deploys no quicker than an already legal assisted opening model. Dang, you guys are harsh. It sounds like I have to be an unarmed moose expert, willing to risk being killed or injured by a wild animal in lieu of harming it, in order to go snowmobiling with you guys.2 points

Since EASing from the Marine Corps, I've been working on my AR turning from a fixed carry handle M4 to something I could show off. I picked up a PSA blemish lower, some rails, a Magpul BAD lever, and a MOE stock. I just finished painting it, let me know what you think. I have a cheap $30 light on there that's not in the pictures til I can afford a good one. Assistant with the before picture: Close ups: Overall finished production:1 point

One of my kids got me this. It's larger in size than most but is also different than any challenge coin I've ever had. Money is donated to the Mike Murphy foundation. Even the postage had his image on it. Kind of cool. Figured I'd post it for the group. They sell them for 20 bucks on his foundation site. Didn't intend to insinuate anything about LEO except they are human beings just like everyone else. My statement was more of an indictment about the complacency of the citizen towards this power grab. If we are expecting a president, politician, or police officer to be the one who takes a stand we have lost already. The Lt. was correct when he told the lady that he was the wrong person to direct her feelings toward.1 point
That being said, I'm afraid the sentiment that most LEO will not go along with unlawful laws is mistaken
Yep. "I was just following orders..." Seems like I've heard that somewhere before.1 point

As much as I hate to agree with you I agree with you on this one. I thought he answered pretty much as well as he could given the circumstances and questions that were asked. This was a no win and was a t least courteous enough to stay on the phone and let her vent. That being said, I'm afraid the sentiment that most LEO will not go along with unlawful laws is mistaken and his interview speaks to that. They, like the American people who are going along with unlawful actions as we speak, will defer to those with percieved greater power over them.1 point

I'm sure Marty felt threatened, but he was jaywalking and impeding the flow of traffic. Since I didn't see any Skittle or Watermelon Iced Tea, I'm betting he's probably one of those "Occupy Snowmobile Path" protestors I've been hearing about.1 point

Why the hell does anyone here care about Zimmerman at this point. :screwy: I guess O'l Nancey needs some ratings...I wonder how many of us Nancy Grace would claim have an "arsenal" of guns and ammunition???1 point
-
He really does not have much. A fair amount of ammo but the guns are few and more or less stock, inexpensive utilitarian examples. All I took away from this is how stupid anti-gun people are, and since I already knew that....1 point

Even if that was their intent (to cause a reaction from "Mexican students" )so what? If the American flag causes a "reaction" from Mexican students then maybe those Mexican students should be in Mexico! If my parents move to France or Italy or Germany (illegally or legally) and I'm a student in their schools; should I be "offended" by the French, Italian or German flag on the Fourth of July?1 point
-
Well after all...we can't have our American flag upsetting all those criminal aliens now can we??? If this kind of BS makes you mad then let me ask you...do you have children in the public school system and if so WHY????????????? This s**t isn't going to stop and it isn't going get any better so if you want your children indoctrinated in how to be good little comrades then go ahead and keep them in the cesspool called the public school system.1 point

I haven't changed it, but I have removed/replaced it to paint my stock. It's really easy, just simple hand tools, except for the barrel wrench, which could be improvised out of an allen wrench or big flathead screwdriver if you don't want to buy one (they're only like 15 bucks, but can be hard to find sometimes). The 9mm conversion is (I'm assuming, I've never done it), more involved, because there are more parts involved (magazine block, bolt, etc) but the .300BLK should just be a barrel swap.1 point

Gotta love gentle giants... we have a saint bernard, and she's an absolute doll :) As for food - go with a grain free brand (origin) -- we fed our 150 saint Orijin and he ate 3 cups per day. Our 100 lb female said eats 2 cups per day. It's more expensive but being as dense as it is, they don't need as much! Good luck ... sent from my pocket rocket ... my Samsung Note 3!1 point

Well, you know, a shot out AR barrel is about as accurate as what an AK begins with , so it doesn't much matter so much with that platform. ;)1 point

May just be me but this situation seems to share some details of the Zimmerman/Martin fiasco. Both "to-be shooters" made a mistake in pursuing causing them to be attacked then shooting to get themselves out of it...1 point

I would say a good trail gun would be the Ruger LCR in .22LR . It is a revolver that holds 8 .22LR shells. Very reliable and also fun . And also EXTREMELY LIGHT WEIGHT . I have one and carry it out to Wally world or on short trips to the store . It is so light I keep checking to see if it's still there :pleased:1 point
