That all those guns came home with me? Today it was 3 puppies! What in the world is going on here? I feel like I need to trade my vehicle in or something. Just kidding, with the success we had with getting Daisy and rehoming her to an excellent home with the help of a rescue I have decided this is something I am going to heavily pursue with my time. I actually have a foster coming tomorrow as well so that will be our dogs and 4 rescues. We had a major loss in our house 2.5 weeks ago and we lost both of our female dogs at the same time. While that tragedy cannot be changed, it has inspired me a lot. Today I transported a Great Pyrenees from Monterey to Cookeville and along the way I ended up with 1 8 week old mix breed and 2 pups that are only 4 weeks. I essentially did not have a choice in the matter, I had to step in and fix stupid. Just a heads up Nashvillians, if you are in the market for new puppies, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue will soon have 6 black border collies and 2 really adorable mix breed white pups that look like a Bernie/GP mix. I met all 8 today and they are ridiculously cute. If you are looking for a new pup or family dog, always feel free to reach out, I will be happy to help.2 points

Why did they leave the first intersection he came to wide open? The first 4 to 5 minutes of the chase they had little or no on coming traffic and he even slowed down to 45 mph and they tried no TIP maneuvers. Not until they got into a congested area do they attempt it. It's easy to arm chair quarter back a replay but I saw several missed opportunities to end this sooner.2 points

Women don't have to work at Hooters or any other job that objectifies them. One woman's objectification is another's empowerment. I've known strippers that get off on the power over men and the money. This has nothing to do with any particular time period where family was more or less important(Comm's post), it appeals to man's sexual appetite and that is as old as the dirt we walk on... It's not like in the 20s guys weren't looking at smut and cheating on their wives.2 points

Are you calling me an addict? Just because I seem to be here several times a day. Every dang day. And can't stop wondering what item I didn't get to buy. Or what thread I missed chiming in on. I am not an addict. I just have no friends and nothing else to do. Well...maybe I am. Hmmm.2 points

Nah. Wormscrew a coiled coil tungsten filament into the end of their junk all the way to the bladder, then apply electric current. Then flay them.2 points

Yeah I was more irritated that someone posts something and there is no response when interest was shown in the item. It wasn't just me based on a couple of posts on the thread. I am over it now. Just needed to vent. I'll move on to find something else to spend my money on.2 points

I guess I'm not the humane type, because 4" stones are too quick for the sickos you named. Paper cuts and lemon juice to their offending body parts followed by waterboarding, bamboo splinters under the finger/toe nails....well, you get the picture. Some people deserve to suffer slowly for their crimes.2 points

UPDATE... I've spoken with the supplier and we will be going with the 20oz and 30oz RTIC tumblers as they are the most cost effective and are just as nice of quality as the ORCA or the Yeti tumblers. I have pricing, I just need to nail down shipping costs so that we can begin taking pre-orders. I hope to have this done by this Friday so that we can begin taking orders over the weekend. The window for ordering will be two weeks. After two weeks are up, the window will close and I will get them on the way to us.1 point

I voted no -- I don't put "I have a gun" stuff anywhere. Call it paranoia or whatever, but the answer is still no1 point

51 pages and I haven't posted on this thread until now. I guess that's because i'm a teetotaler. Used to drink Bud Ice and occasional Jim Beam on a weekend, 14 years ago I had some stomach problems so I quit and never started back. Well I made my post, didn't want to be left out.1 point

I carry a Glock 17 in an M7 style anytime I'm on the motorcycle. This one was made by GjohnsonIV and the craftsmanship is fantastic. I wear colors anytime I ride so concealment isn't a concern and it's comfy to ride in. Also works for long car trips. I'm 6'1" and have a 52" chest so custom was the only option that fit right. Guys do not, I repeat do not go to the bp off of the highway to the range. Your odds of being shot greatly increase. But do go have a steak at the pub. Great grub. And it's across the street from the comfort inn1 point

I really like this one. http://pistol-training.com/drills/dot-torture You can print the target here. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://pistol-training.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/dot-torture-target.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwjWnuHzkdrKAhVB2mMKHelQBpsQFggbMAA&usg=AFQjCNFoKrsIpXJPlkRRsxcI7l5xNgEg3w Start at 3yds. It's tougher than it looks and it will renforce good marksmanship while improving gun handling. If your range doesn't allow draw from a holster start from low ready1 point

THis may be surprising, but the Shield was my first polymer gun. I didn't have any history to work from. I do like it very much. THe only addition was a Hiviz fiber optic front sight1 point

I'd like to see the medical system set up similar to a Firestone or NTB. Walk in and there's a big board reading the cost of all the normal services. For those with no insurance, you know exactly what you'll pay. It would also let the general public really see how much money is spent on medical care and maybe then there might be a bit of an outrage about how expensive even just a consultation really is.1 point

So I went and picked up the Ultra Carry 2 over the weekend. I went out on Sunday and put 100 rounds through it. On the first Magazine I had a FTF on the last round in the mag. After that I haven't had an issue. I plan on putting it through another couple hundred shots before I start carrying it. Its time to get used to it as well, coming from primarily revolver carry for the past 6 years, this is alot different. The Gun is now with the person that is making my holster and I cant wait to get it back with the custom made holster! Thanks for all the input guys!! Excited to finally have one in my stable!!1 point

If you get an under the arm type make sure you get one that has duel mag holster on opposite side. It will help even out the weight and not feel so lop sided. Also make sure it can fasten to belt so it does not flop around when moving about. Truth be told, shoulder carry, while glamorized in miami vice, james bond etc. is one of the least preferred methods of conceal carry. I would tell you to buy a cheap one or borrow one to see if you like it before you spent real money on a good one. Most find themselves collecting dust in a drawer. I would agree that a chest carry rig (where concealment is not an issue) is a great option to carry for farm, salmon fishing in Alaska, remote hiking etc. My 2 cents.1 point

I use an old military rig I forgot to turn in. It holds everything from a Colt Scout, to a Sig 220, to a mod 10 S&W with no problem. Not stylish or particularly quick drawish, it holds a firearm securely while on the tractor, bike, or 4 wheeler, and it's way more comfortable than a belt rig.1 point

Here's a couple of places that have the A2 uppers, both stripped or the assembly. http://www.del-ton.com/AR_15_Upper_Receivers_s/88.htm https://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=2791 point

You know, what's funny for me is that when I'm shooting a gun, like a Mosin, a K987 or a 1903 I don't even hear then gun. But when the guy on the next lane is shooting his AR it sounds really loud. Also, I re-read the original post and am not sure if he was talking about the noise from people shooting or the recoil. Here's my attitude on recoil. I don't shoot for a living, I do it for fun. Therefore, I don't get calibers that recoil enough to impact my enjoyment.1 point

Put their number on the casual encounters of males looking for two males... "Sensual boy looking to be held in two pairs of strong black arms..." Even on FB Ill put NO TRADES FIRM PRICE...and still get bubba with a used laptop and a .22 derringer. Or my favorite is John boats with no motors or 4 wheelers with no motors either.... I'm thankful for my $50/year membership at Gallatin Gun Club. Even during the winter months, I can usually find a couple days each month that are warm enough to go shooting.1 point
