Since we're the "patron state of shootin' stuff", we should leave no doubt that stuff's been shot  Plus what Tennesseetiger just said :)5 points

People are not taking this Bernie Sanders situation seriously...the younger generation "I'm 28 btw" has fallen in love with this guy because of his "free this and free that" bs that he is spewing. Its Obama's campaign all over again..................I'm actually worried about it.4 points

Couple of things: 1. 41P and 41F are one in the same. The "P" designation is the Proposed regulation and it changes to "F" once the regulation becomes Final. In this case, 41F is slightly different than 41P, but when people refer to them, they are really talking about the same thing. Attorneys refer to 41F now because that is the text that matters. 2. The 2-year lookback period refers to subsection ( c ) of the Final Rule. Under subsection ( c ), there is an exception to the need to file fingerprints and photos with a trust. The exception was this: Once a trust obtained a tax stamp under the new Final Rule (i.e., by providing the fingerprints and photos), the trust would not have to re-submit fingerprints and photos for any additional tax stamp application submitted within 2 years of the date of the approval IF THE RESPONSIBLE PERSONS HAD NOT CHANGED. The idea being that a person's fingerprints and photo is not likely to change significantly in a 2-year period. What is being referred to in the Prince Law article is that the ATF appears to be taking the position that the exception really doesn't mean anything and that trusts would have to provide fingerprints and photos every time. The Final Rule itself doesn't say that, though. Bottom Line: 1. if you have a trust, you MUST provide fingerprints and photos for each Responsible Person with the first tax stamp application you submit on or after July 13, 2016. 2. If 41F is actually followed, the trust would not have to provide fingerprints and photos more than once every 2 years (regardless of how many tax stamps it obtains in that 2-year period). 3. If 41F is NOT followed (which is what the article says), the trust would have to provide fingerprints and photos with every tax stamp application, regardless of whether or not the trust had been changed in the past 2 years. Until July 13th, there still is no reason to submit fingerprints or photos. If a trust NEVER applies for another tax stamp on or after July 13, 2016, the trust will NOT have to go back and submit fingerprints and photos for tax stamps already in process or approved before July 13th. Hope that helps.2 points

The only reason it's being discussed is because we're talking about what the TN Weapon should be...considering its made here and happens to be one of the baddest rifles on the planet, it just kind of fits the conversation.2 points

I'd definitely add an grommet where the lanyard runs through. I wouldn't mind a grommet in the sheath where the knife rests, either. With a leather sheath in the field, I like something to get the water out. I'd probably run my belt through the lower part, but that's just because I like my knife to ride a bit higher. Looks great!2 points

Hunting, go with 6.8. Although it is probably out because of ammo cost the same as .300BO.2 points

If they had put up the triple strand concertina wire when this mess started, those generators and heaters would have gone dead long ago, and the elements would have solved this problem by now. Mollycoddling these asshats was a bad strategy.1 point

I don't know who was in charge of everything, but what an epic fail in letting it come to a head by not just cutting the power and waiting for them to give up from hunger and the cold.1 point

Ok, serious question. I'm on the "company" FB page watching videos and my face hurts from grinning. But when breaking boards and such, should they really break that cleanly? I mean, I've dealt with wood some, and never really seen any break in a perfectly straight, clean line.1 point

This is definitely going to be used in a lot of future training. Man there is some weird shit happening. I knew there was chaos during a standoff, but good lord the adrenaline really screws up with peoples' ability to comprehend things.1 point

This ship is not for us commoners to go on a cruise; it won’t be in competition with the mega ships. I think it will do great. It’s nostalgia that most will never get to experience. I suspect the rich and famous will keep it going. I’m not interested I like my technology too much.1 point

My personal opinion is that if you can't shoot the sumbitch then that's probably your best option. But you can learn to use one defensively and offensively. A lot of it is having the will power and violence of action to win. Sent from behind the anvil1 point

Beats me. I was just raised to work for what I wanted. Never personally understood the everyone gets a trophy mindset. You lost, you don't get anything, the world is like that. Might suck but that's how it is.1 point

I agree. What's worse.. this guy is true believer. Hilary is just pushing through to profit from the liberal agenda. Bernie is forged in it, molded by it.....1 point

Agreed on the mutant. Unfortunately at it's price tag I guess I would have to go 308 in an AR10. I'm not really in love with 7.62 but I thought if I were to build a 30 caliber upper I would enjoy the added benefit of shooting it cheaply. Who knows. I suppose there's always import bans to think about with cheap commie ammo. I do love a challenge and cheap ammo, so I'm pretty torn That looks like pure fun to me!1 point

If I absolutely had to have an AR in 7.62x39 it would be the CMMG Mutant. They eliminate the two weak points of an AR in 7.62x39. First, it uses standard AK magazines and second it uses a much larger bolt head. If I remember correctly it is a 308 Winchester sized bolt head which is way better than a 5.56 sized bolt that has been machined for 7.62x39. I have owned several 7.62x39 ARs and I never really had any problems but they were not used a lot either. They were used for experimentation more than anything.1 point

Just a personal preference but I like the sheaths that come up a little higher on the knife. Right now you have the top of the sheath terminating right at the guard. Coming up about 1/4 of the handle would really improve the look IMHO. Make it look more beefy. Again just a personal preference. Nice work! EDIT: I do like the firesteel loop being part of the pouch! Makes it more compact.1 point

The barrel is a Kak Industries 18" stainless. The Odin Works FF Keymod handguard came with its own barrel nut. When I chose the handguard I had to choose the "DPMS Low Profile" model as opposed to the "High Profile" model. This was due to the PSA upper being modeled after the low profile DPMS. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Very nice! I like the option to wear it high or low. Maybe add some Chicago screws instead of rivets where the top loop attaches so it could be easily removed if someone wanted.1 point

If staying in AR platform and since cost is the concern...I personally would do 300blk same reliable parts and since you are using it for hunting only the cost of ammo is mute point unless you shoot a lot deer and pigs :).. Plus you can get a suppressor later and reloading equipment and have some real fun with subsonic ammo....That is what I did:)1 point
-
I like it...a lot. The only thing that kinda jumped out to me is the snap on the pouch seems really big compared to the size of pouch/sheath. Just an observation/opinion.1 point

NURSING HOME POLICE Ethel was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair and loved to charge around the nursing home, taking corners on one wheel, and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors. Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a picnic, the other residents tolerated her, and some males actually joined in. One day, Ethel was speeding up one corridor when a door opened and Kooky Clarence stepped out with his arm outstretched. "STOP!" he shouted in a firm voice. "Have you got a license for that thing?" Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper, and held it up to him. "OK" he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall. As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel, Weird Harold popped out in front of her and shouted "STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?" Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a drink coaster, and held it up to him. Harold nodded and said, "Carry on, ma'am." As Ethel neared the final corridor before the front door, Crazy Craig stepped out in front of her, stark naked, with a very sizable erection.. "Oh, good grief," cried Ethel, "not the Breathalyzer again!"1 point

Betty turned 100 in the nursing home and was being interviewed by a reporter, she was sitting on a couch and started to lean to the left and the nurse grabbed her and straightened her up, said be careful Betty and don't fall, then Betty started to lean to the right, the nurse straightened her up again and told betty to be careful not to fall, then betty started to lean forward, the nurse straightened her up again quickly sayin be careful betty. The reporter asked Betty how she liked it at the nursing home, Betty said I like it fine but they wont let you fart.1 point

I tend to carry at least one S&W if not two. My 342 Airlite sees a lot of time as does the 642 Airweight. For the first time in a long time I have been carrying an all steel 60-no dash.the .357s rarely get carried.1 point

I shoot with both eyes open. It was something I had to get used to in the beginning, but now it is really weird to close one eye. Having both eyes open gives me much better peripheral vision as well as depth perception. It also takes muscle strength to close your left eye which causes strain you your entire face. That little bit can take concentration away from your dominant eye. It's hard to explain, but if you keep shooting with both eyes open your right eye will eventually focus naturally by itself. As to "getting on target faster", don't worry about that. Work your dry fire drills like JCoop explains to train your muscle memory to get the gun out of the holster cleanly. Most shooters who simply think they need to "quick draw" will botch their first shot because they have jerked the gun too fast from the holster and didn't get a good grip on the gun. If they did manage a decent grip, the second part of the draw is screwed by pushing to the target too quickly and not getting a good sight picture. They crack the first shot and it's nowhere on paper. Next time you're at our shoot, watch Scott Randolph. He is not the fastest at drawing, or moving for that matter (you're my hero Scott), but Scott is one of the best shooters I've had the pleasure of shooting with. He gave me some very good advice and that was to make sure the draw is clean and to get a positive sight picture on the first target. From there, it's a matter of simply pressing the trigger and making smooth transitions. Scott proves this time and time again with smooth and exact motions, and it shows when the rest of us are trying to catch his match times.1 point
