It appears to me that the statement "it went off while I was cleaning it" is usually a lie to cover the fact that someone pulled the trigger while playing with the gun. Just my opinion.9 points

A J-Frame Smith either OWB or pocket carry. I have had several of my fellow HCP holders explain to me that I stand no chance against the ISIS battle group that inevitably assaults my neighborhood Walmart. Whereas, they with their neato double column semi-autos will be able to save the day by taking out the entire ISIS organization with two extra magazines of 9MM. This is based on their combat experience at some neat school at some pistol range. I spent a total of 60 months in combat in VietNam (4 Tours) with the USMC so I am in no position to question their superior logic. I only need 5 shots to shoot the dumb SOB that goes looking for me and finds my hiding place.4 points

Guys, I gave Sam a heads up already but thought it was important for you all to know, this guy is a fraud. He took classes for less than two weeks at the TrickyNicky Tactical Somersault Assault Training Academy Dojo and is now attempting to use my carefully cultivated techniques to open his own school. I'm all for the free market, but his training was incomplete. We hadn't even covered low drag- high impact cartwheels yet  How does he expect to give people the value for their monies without knowing my patented backwards shotgun roll? You all have been warned, if you want QUALITY buffoonery, er, training, look no further than the TNTSATAD. TGOers enjoy free parking validation (I'll tell my neighbors it's cool if you park on their lawn) and a complementary after workout self-rubdown (some alone time in the shower) and so many more perks your heads would explode like some kinda exploding things if you attempted to take it all in in one sitting. Are you going to do a FTF only or offer shipping. The majority of everyday carry knives will fit in a small flat rate box. I think you'd be justified in a little premium for that on top of the $6 it costs to ship it. Gas and time to and fro ain't free. I'd be in for it. My current knife sharpener is the fellar what sets up in the back of the local gun show. Wait, are you really up for sharpening all the cheap knock offs we cheap/poor bastards carry? Kinda be like a Porche mechanic tuning up a Ford Tempo.3 points

Guys, I am strongly considering buying a very expensive sharpening system that I saw at last years Blade show, If after posting many pictures of my personal knives Sharpened laser sharp and Mirror polished edge, would any of you consider paying a small fee for this service if I offer it? Just food for thought as I will buy the system anyway and on my offtime do this quite frequently2 points

http://clarksvillenow.com/local/cpd-detective-catches-man-impersonating-an-officer-in-golden-corral-edit/ Reppin' the hometown this fine individual thought he was going to get a free drink by flashing his badge. As karma would have it one our resident CPD detectives was there and overheard him, and bagged him for impersonating an officer. I know we usually rag on guys/gals with their HCP "badges" but this was STUPID...granted he IS from Kentucky lol. The biggest I think you can go without rubbing in 305/55/20 which will affect the look somewhat but without lifting the front end I doubt it will be dramatic. You can buy leveling kits that will lift the front end 2" or so. Either way I doubt with that little change you will see any performance differences. Speedometer might read off a few mph2 points

Here are pics of Liz, she is currently 5.5 weeks and will not be available for adoption for a while. At least until she is 12 weeks old: Here is Liz's brother Red, same for him as far as age and date of availability! Also, just wanted to remind you about Donald Ressler too. He is currently 9 weeks old and 15 lbs, he can be available in 3 weeks. If you are interested in any of the puppies you see here, please email me at predsgirl33@gmail.com (please include your TGO handle) and I will gladly send you an adoption application. There will be adoption fees for all the puppies which will just be the cost of their discounted vetting. This in turn allows us to pull more dogs to save their lives. Also, for those contributing funds, please know that anything over the goal will go directly to the rescue and helping us pull more dogs/puppies as we send these ones off to new homes.2 points

Wow. Lotta info there... to be honest, I started out reading intently, but pretty quickly my eyes glazed over and I scrolled to the inevitable... problems with the gun. I hope it gets to working reliably for you. My very first .22 was a 597. After a few months of being terribly frustrated with it I unloaded the thing... then I got a 10/22. I'll never be without one again. I hope your story goes differently.1 point

If it’s not on me it’s in a holster in the console. I wouldn’t have any firearm with a round chambered out in the vehicle without something covering the trigger.1 point

I have seen several agencies trade in Sigs that never got issued. I mean they still had the paper grip sleeve on them when they traded them. I know of a few guys issued duty weapons who just took them home and put them in a sock drawer because they preferred their own weapon too. Then you have guys like me that shoot the absolute living piss out of their duty weapons.1 point

I say keep the Leatherman. I still use the original Super Tool in the 15+ year old range. Couple drops of oil and all is well.1 point

Ive used a buttload in the military so far and will share... The Leatherman MUT was by far my favorite. I carried the EOD model at first but sold it to another tech in favor of the standard one - the carbon scraper and screw in cleaner spots on top of all the bits and blades is awesome. (Plus only losers dont carry an extra pair of crimpers) On the cheap the standard black Gerber that comes with OTIS cleaning kits is great...even though Ive destroyed a bunch of them. I really liked my Victorinox but someone stole it like a true asshat.. As far as SOG goes I used the EOD one as well, the crimpers sucked but damn was the wire cutting blades really nice. Ended up leaving in at a 10K Code H det pit...so its atoms are spread somewhere around Eglin Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk1 point

I have a Silencerco Specwar 7.62 and love it. It's. About bigger than some, but is one of, if not the best at suppression levels. I like it so well I am ordering a second. I already have the Silencerco quick attach flash hiders or breaks on most of my rifles, so sticking with the same manufacturer makes sense.1 point

On bucket seats or with a split 60/40 bench seat I use a holster on the righthand side of the drivers seat. I've tied the holster off to the front of the lower seatbelt assy arm and I've velcroed it to the side of the seat. But overall I try to keep it out of sight of inquisitive eyes with a hat, or bandanna masking it. The magnet setup looks good but where's that gun going to go in a serious car crash?1 point

I sort of agree with you on that, buddy. But I had one and it really isn't bad. I think, in my uninformed opinion, Sig's DAK trigger is meant to combine the safety advantages of a SA/DA pistol and have the short pull of a striker fired pistol. I may well be wrong in this, so I'm prepared to be schooled on it. But the DAK guns are really nice to shoot. I just prefer the striker models that are so much more prevalent these days. Now as far as Sig and their seemingly 100's of variants in each model...I hear and agree. It's almost impossible to keep up with them. I've had a few Sigs, but don't seem to keep them. Mostly because of the size and weight. I know that is an advantage in firing a lot and keeping down recoil fatigue, but I just can't stay with them. Usually. lol I do LOVE my Sig 1911's. I have 3 now and just can't part with them. An RCS for carry. A Nightmare for looks. lol And a TacOps for home and range. Not saying I don't like and have other brands, but the 1911 are really pretty awesome. JMO. lol OK, sorry for the length. I do get carried away easily. As you all know from my rep and some meets.1 point

FWIW, after shooting my Glocks, I do a basic field strip and wipe everything down with Hoppe's or a Birchwood Casey silicon cleaning cloth. You can even swab the barrel with one. I sold one several years ago, and the buyer commented that it was "slicker the owl s...t" afterwards. Yeah, do a brush cleaning on the barrel to keep it copper free or lead free if using reloads. But essentially... shoot the hell out of it and wipe it off afterwards. It's a Glock. It's made to withstand punishment and infrequent cleanings. lol1 point

A student nurse gave a man a sponge bath and he asked her if his testicles were black. She replied that she did not know. He asked her again if his testicles were black. She said that she did not know, she was only to give him bath from the knees down and the waist up. He asked her once more if his testicles were black. So she pulled down the sheet took his member in one hand and his testicles in the other. After looking them over she told him they looked fine. He then took off his oxygen mask, cleared his throat and said are ......my.........tests......back?1 point

They're really two different use cases. The AR10 could be a good hunting rifle, and has more legs than the 300, but it's a lot heavier rifle. I wouldn't want to lug mine around the woods all day. For pigs and deer, the 300 is more than adequate at the ranges you're most likely to encounter in Tennessee. And, if you're going with 110gr or 120gr supersonic stuff, you can stretch it out further if you spend some time getting to know the rifle. That said, I don't know that I've ever shot a pig that's been more than 100 meters away. The terrain they prefer here in the South just isn't conducive to longer shots in most cases.1 point

Yeah, but the sks has a wood stock and comes with a pig sticker attached......and, you don't have to worry about losing the magazine.1 point

Not a joke and it's not terribly uncommon to see these priced like this. Colt Snake guns have been on an unexplained ( In my Opinion) inflated price trend for a few years now. I think these prices are at or about peak and we should see a downward trend in the next couple of years. This is just my opinion and so I could be totally wrong.1 point

Currently carry a S&W model 38, prior to that it was a S&W model 36-2. Two Bianchi speed strips in my pocket. My brother has tried to convince me to convert to the Glock model 26. Actually is smaller than my current carry, but I just don't care for Glocks. Guess I'm just old school. Capacity is not a concern.1 point

Remington has become more interested in building their corporate portfolio than building a quality product. The problem with current Marlins IS Remington. Remington blows. You take their flag ship: the 700. Comparing two 700's side by side, one made today and one made in say, 1960. Its the same difference in a Wilson Combat and a High Point. Both very serviceable and all, but really.... If you find yourself shopping for a Marlin lever gun, do your best to find one made in the 50's. They are arguably the best made Marlins out there....ever.1 point

I've been meaning to do this for a while, I finally found time this weekend! I wanted to write an updated review to my favorite watch of all time, the GWM5610-1. I purchased this watch on September 30th, 2014. I've worn it practically everyday since. With the exception of where I suspected a brick wall took a very small gash out of the resin above the letter "T" in "PROTECTION" at the top, it basically looks brand new in my opinion. Now once have I ever looked at the watch and seen that the battery status has not been on "H" for High. Depending on where I leave it at night, it may or may not have the letters "RCVD", stating that it has received the atomic time signal the previous night. This morning it shows that it did. I've swam and showered while wearing this watch, so that's testament to its water durability. Its form factor is perfect, large enough to show everything neatly on the screen but small enough to not feel like you have Big Ben strapped to your arm. Weight? It is like it isn't there. Some people like heavy watches; The heavier the better. I like a light watch, one that I simply and completely forget I'm wearing until I need to check the time. By far without question this is my favorite watch that I have ever owned. If I lost or broke it I would replace it without question with an identical model. For under $100 you get solar, atomic timekeeping, and the general reassurance that you are daily paying tribute to classic 90's movies such as Speed. (The watch in the movie was the classic 5600, basically the 5610 is the same form factor but with updated internals.) Casio Men's GWM5610-1 for Under $1001 point
