I may add it to someone else's stuff, but not mine. I've spent way too much time cleaning carburetors, petcocks, and the like to try it. Whoever mandated ethanol added to gasoline should be submerged in a vat of it until bubbles quit coming to the top.7 points

I had some free time tonight so I decided to do a drawing of my recent AK build. Started out to do a more technical drawing but got part way through and said screw it, so I ended up with this. It's hard to tell from the photo but it's actual size of an ak.3 points

Drove up/Over to Pall Mall TN today Been unable to put a picture up but went and visited the Grave Site of Alvin C. York. Met his Son Andy York. We toured the house. Met some very nice people, both rangers and volunteers, as well as other people visiting just like us. We made a day out of it, even if I did wear 2 different kinds of shoes that I only discovered after we got over there.3 points

The trust isn't the issue. The photographs and fingerprints are. Currently, my items are owned by an entity, not an identity. My other trustees have no desire(currently) to own or possess the trust items, but they can if needs be or they want. None of them are "on file" for my hobby, nor will they be in the future. Same with my beneficiaries in the future, my kids are not sending in fingerprints and photos to own these items when the time comes. Everybody keeps saying 41f isnt that bad. I think it's terrible. This is how we lose, in small steps.3 points

A 1970 Penny my boy found in 1973 on the ground. He was 3 at the time so when I told him that penny is good luck cause it's the year you were born he gave it to me and I carry it every day since.3 points

Not sure if it's been done before. What is your '24/7 every time I'm wearing clothes' edc pocket knife? I've beecarryingng this Benchmade 556 Mini Griptilian every single day for the past 9 years. The only time it isn't in my pocket is on a plane. I've cut everything you can think I could possibly cut with it. It's dressed 6 hogs, 4 deer, 3 coyotes & 11 raccoons. I've spread mayo & mustard, opened countless boxes, un done screws, re tightened screws, opened a million snuff cans & popped the top of hundreds of beers. I'd rather let you have an hour with The Wife than 10 minutes with this knife.2 points

Just got done listening to it...very close as far as I "scored" it. I think the lawyer for the pro-gun side failed to make the case that assault weapons are popular enough to be warranted the same protections as handguns under Heller. He stumbled a bit, and I think he pushed the "lawful purposes" line a bit too much. He was looking to add it as often as he could, even when it didn't seem to fit to the topic. There were obviously some of the judges out to discredit his argument out of an anti-gun, or pro-legislature mindset, but that was to be expected. The attorney for Maryland was checked pretty hard on a lot of issues. Of particular note was how assault weapons can be banned under the justification of public safety because they are prolific in mass shootings, but handguns, which account for 94% of murders overall can't be banned after Heller. Also mentioned during the defense time was the recent SCOTUS case on stun guns, which I found interesting. In all, I think this one will be close. I couldn't make out more than a half dozen voices, so that's a lot of judges that sit quietly listening. Cross your fingers folks...if Maryland's AWB can be ruled unconstitutional, any AWB can be.2 points

I stopped responding to these juvenile elementary school post. They're just meant to stir the pot, and will lead to someone getting banned.2 points

Weed killer for the fence line. I've added smaller amounts to the car to get rid of it. Adding a half gallon or so to 20gal of fuel in a vehicle will plenty dilute to not give engine problems.2 points

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's another thread devoted to bagging on Memphis. We're a Delta city with a completely different history and culture than the rest of y'all and y'all don't like or understand us. That's cool. The feeling's mutual.2 points

Elmer T Lee is back in the market, obviously in limited quantity. If you want one today is the time to come in. It is going fast. BTW If I recall correctly we have it for $392 points

This is exactly why I view the media as nothing but propaganda for their political wings (and the views of their corporate owners) anymore. It would be nice to get real news with all the facts and no bias. You know, real investigative reporting and letting the facts speak for them selves so viewers could make informed decisions. But that isn't happening now and I do not see it happening anytime in the near future.2 points

I'll try to do something about that with the next design. Good point!2 points

Mine is an old 3 blade Boker Tree Brand that belonged to my grandfather. its been used and abused and has been worked down to where one of the blades will stick you if you are not careful when it's in your pocket. i would like to say it's probably 50 plus years old, but I am not positive on that account. it just kind of feels right.2 points

The short version of what we know so far: If anyone on your trust has the right to be in possession of your trust property, they are "responsible persons" under the new rule and will have to submit fingerprint cards and photos for all stamps filed for after the 13th of July. If you have other questions, feel free to contact me directly. I will be filing for a SBR on the 14th so I can report back on the process to everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I personally like building from parts kits, it's a fun way to get a new gun. Plus you can say "I built this." You're going to need to source the barrel and receiver for it or at least the flat to bend into the receiver. Outside of that it's converting your fire control to semi auto, pressing the barrel in and heads pacing it, and getting the rest of the needed parts out of the chopped up bits plus welded back on. All in all if you want to put in the work for it I'd say go for it, but it's not going to be like putting an AR together. To see how others have done it check out Weaponeer and Weaponsguild, both are great resources.1 point

Well dang. You all got deeper pockets than I do. I mostly carry a Rough Rider Large Locking Trapper, or a Vicky Tinker, or maybe every once in a while a large Case Sodbuster. As a general rule, I don't carry expensive knives, because, well, I'm cheap. I have never spent more than $80 for a knife and that was for a custom Hargis 5" fixed blade, that I bought off the original owner. I also got the Case Sodbuster and a Camilous Switchblade Paratrooper knife (that is broken, but just needs a new switch) in the deal. As I have gotten older (and I believe wiser), I've found I don't really need that tacticool stuff and i have settled on carrying mostly slip joints, like Leroy.1 point

I've got a Desantis like this that I use for my M&P compact 9. It's actually quite comfortable to carry, and I find it easy to draw. I wear in the 5 O'Clock position, and find that the upside-down and canted angle 'works' for my wrist. I can pull it out and get on target fairly quickly. I imagine carrying w/ the firearm oriented straight up-and-down would require more vertical draw, and my elbow and wrist start to ache just thinking about that movement. I've actually been looking for a replacement as my current holster is getting worn and 'sloppy'. - K1 point

I've got an original Enfield No.4 MK 1* Long Branch .303 British that my father left me and like it a lot for the sentimentality and its history. It's incredibly accurate and is what it is a good representation of what military rifles used to be. Yours is strictly a shooter now so take it out and have some fun with it. I think you acquired a fun recreational rifle.1 point

I've got a few people I knew that were lost in Iraq and Afghanistan that I'll be remembering as part of my Memorial Day. This day is for them, and all the others through the centuries that lost their lives for something bigger than themselves. It's also for all the gold star families. The burdens they've been forced to carry cannot be understated. So many stories of families having to move on from such a tragedy, it can give a grown man an allergy attack.1 point

I never understand why people even attempt to carry like that. When I was at Walmart last week I got behind a guy in the checkout line that was carrying a s&w 4046 in his back pocket in the same manner. I kept waiting for that "brick" to fall out and hit the floor.1 point

I haven't followed this thread, so this may have been covered. A big thanks to TGO David and anyone that helped him on the upgrade. I work with techies and can say that upgrades like this aren't like our cell phone carriers where you re-boot and everything works. They are a pain. Everything has to be done a certain way, usually when the rest of us are sleeping. Even if you do everything right, it still may go haywire. Sometimes I wish I was a techie due to good pay and job security. Then, one of my tech leader friends will tell me about how their website went down at 11:00 pm and they were up all night trying to figure out what was wrong and fix it before company president gets to work and finds out that no one can buy anything because the website is down.1 point

I honestly don't remember why. I haven't lamented it any, that's for sure. Had he been a member when he made his infamous "I'MMA START SHOOTIN PEOPLE!" video and aired it for the Internet, I probably would have pulled the trigger on his account myself. No one who's seriously a proponent of civil discourse and the Second Amendment needs that sort of baggage hanging around. He's made a weird career out of being polarizing. I categorize him with Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga, in that respect. Just with less money.1 point
