A good ol RCBS Rock Chucker with your preferred brand of dies, I like using. Combination of Lee Precision and Hornady dies for handgun cartridges, Lee Precision handgun dies tend to offer a powder through expanding which makes charging cartridges convenient, and Hornady seating dies a have a "bullet guide" so to speak that keeps the projectiles in place as you're bringing the the cartridge up to the die, but a good rock chucker, Lee dies, a tumbler, and loading tray is a good affordable place start if you're not looking for a cartridge specific setup.2 points

I’m ok with it. Parents need to be held accountable. As mentioned it will be selective prosecution, but parents need to take more responsibility.2 points

Yeah its crazy how fast itll pick up, especially a KA band. Ive been running it in conjunction with Highway Radar app on my phone and I usually know where a patrol is sitting from a mile or more out. I just have really been making myself slow down lately and this thing makes me have a heavier foot than I should, especially with two small kids at home1 point

Great radar detector. Been running one for 2 years. Picks them up a LONG way away.1 point

Located in Murfreesboro, TN. I head into Nashville for work every now and again, but don’t leave the house much. Most of my transactions have been in my garage, but open to chat about a very reasonable distance to meet. Bought from another member last summer. I’ve taken it to an indoor range a few times- I have about 300 rounds through it. Sent it off to ACW to change out the front sight to tritium with an orange ring. The original tritium sight is included. I think it’s in very good condition with the only wear really being on the barrel hood and some slight wear on the rail from the Surefire light, which is really hard to capture in pics, but it’s not significant. Trigger is excellent with a crisp reset. Fit is exceptional and pics don’t do this blued finish justice. $2650 cash Not really looking for trades- if you do make an offer, I only shoot 9MM these days. Surefire light is not included, but available for purchase. It’s a well-used Ultra.1 point

I've considered replacing the gas key, I didn't think about delrin though. Good idea! I didn't really want to reduce the lower any further (it's only 4oz as is!) & I was worried about the structural integrity of taking any more of the upper. The butt-plate could stand some holes though. The biggest weight saving now would come from an aluminum BCG. Big difference there, but also quite a bit of cash to go cutting it to bits & drilling new holes in it!1 point
-
NIce! you dont need the top of that gas key, mill it off flush with the bolt heads get for a free half ounce or so You could probably just remove the entire key and replace with square piece of delrin or aluminum and run nylon bolts in place of the steel since no longer doing anything other than keeping the bolt from rotating when you manually cycle. Was it had to resist slotting holes in some of the other bits that are solid?1 point

Testimony was finally heard in Senate Judiciary this last Wednesday, the 20th of March. It received 7 favorable votes, along party lines of course. Have to get it out of Finance in the House and then to the floor there. Of note, I had three guys go with me for testimony, Moms Demand Action, Covenant Moms and Safer TN had over 60 in the room...1 point

Exactly - I'm a full service retail gunsmith and SOT manufacturer with DRO mill and lathe... while we *could* do it... it's like hiring a full custom performance auto shop to make you new billet valve covers from scratch. When the top brands are mass-produced for $250, no need to pay $2500 for the same (or lesser) result.1 point

The dog that moved in here, uninvited, finally convinced me that a fence was needed. But I have a big property with a lot of woods, and a fence wasn't super-practical. So I bought a Halo collar, and subscribed ($6.00 a month) to their service. It's worked VERY well for Katy. You use something like Google earth to define an area that the dog is allowed to roam free within. Once that's defined the collar and application work together using GPS. When the dog gets within 10 feet or so of the boundary, she gets an audible warning. If she get to the boundary, she gets a shock. And Katy WAS in shock for the first few days, wondering, I suppose, where the monster in the woods came from. But within a very short time she was well aware of her boundaries and respects them. She'll walk out to the mailbox with me, but stop a bit short of the warning boundary and wait for me to return. Even a filthy squirrel can't entice her to cross those boundaries, which is amazing. The system isn't cheap, about $500, but compared to a fence it's not bad. And one can change those boundaries at will. If you go on vacation you can easily set a new area for the dog, though I've not tried that.1 point

Lee is an upstanding guy. I've had the pleasure of buying some of his wares fresh off the truck and am highly satisfied. The hardest part of buying from Lee is tracking him down as he is always on the go.1 point

I love hearing stories like this and I try to brag on companies with good customer service too. Next time I need a part Troy makes, and price/quality are similar, they get first crack at my $$. Thanks for sharing this.1 point

Hey David, I'm going to go into the past here. Remember the first(?) TGO shirts? Had the TGO/TN tri-star logo on the Chest. Had the "What part of shall not be infringed" on the back. Is there a chance we might see something similar again? Especially the chest logo. I wear this quite a lot and get the " where can I get one" question fairly often. Would it be a big seller now? I don't know, but I'd certainly like a couple more. I've got holes in mine from an old pair of suspenders. LoL. Just wondering.1 point

As my handle suggests, I am pretty passionate about increasing school security. As we all know however, often times such conversations have a tendency to fall on deaf ears. There are however, ways to make small positive steps forward. Earlier this year I got a Grant for Stop The Bleed Training Kits so I can teach school personnel how to handle injuries that require more than a band aid. Well, the kits came in today, and I am Super Pumped!1 point

Forgot to post this here when it happened but better late than never.... (Oct 14th 2023) Today the year long journey to the IDPA World Championship match finished up. We shot half the match on Friday and the other half today. A couple of stages on Friday were not some of my best work but Saturday was pretty solid. In my entourage here was my everything Brandi Harris , my friend Trey Hudson , and my friend / coach / “man servant “ for the weekend Michael V Swisher . Mike helped keep me focused, manage equipment, pull the wagon, and strategize. For those who just want the cliff note version of the match , I finished in the top ten in my division at the World Championship with a 5th place in Master Class in the Backup Gun Division ! And finally a big thanks to my sponsor Natchez Outdoors . Randy Harris Harris Combative Strategies Harriscombative.com Shooting past one of the NUMEROUS non threat targets. Look who I ran into....Rob Leatham and Mike Seeklander ....I need some serious help with my selfie game...1 point
