  1. Cheaper Than Dirt can keep their .223 and choke on it.

  2. This thing is starting to snowball.  Companies are standing up.  I want to see states stand up too.  Let the country become polarized and the manufacturing move to where it's wanted.  Guns aren't the end all tell all of the manufacturing world but it COULD start a chain reaction.  What if ALL of the gun companies moved south where they are welcomed with arms wide open.  As the dust settles people's eyes are opened by the fact that more jobs are here and they say, "hmmmmm  Instead of that detroit pile of crap, I think I'll buy a kentucky made Camry or a nashville made Nissan. "  "I ain't buyin salsa made in New York city!  I'll buy the one made in texas!"   Okay, I'm funnin' but seriously.  Screw buying made in america just because it's made in america.  Buy made in USA products made by people you want to see prosper because be honest; Would any of us really shed a tear if Chicago was starving to death?  No.

  3. Realized that may have come across the wrong way towards the OP. Thanks for the heads up to anyone who may benefit from that deal. As for me, CTD can choke on their stock based on their actions post-Newtown. They will never get another dollar from me.

Not as good as some other gun companies but at least Maryland will feel the affects of their decision to restrict gun ownership.  http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/md-politics/berettas-future-in-maryland-tied-to-states-gun-control-debate/2013/02/23/bcc56c62-7776-11e2-95e4-6148e45d7adb_story.html

  7. Again, there is nothing to see here and definately nothing to fear. As is often suggested in these threads, do a Google search of Farrahan and you will see that like many of todays prosperity preachers he has been playing his followers like suckers for decades. Many of us were kids when he came up with his "Economic Plan" for the black community. Guess who has prospered and who hasn't. There are real things to be angry about. IMO this isn't one of them.

  8. Yes, I'm a former band geek.  I got this in an email and found it pretty impressive.  I'm told this is the Royal Norwegian Guard Regiment.  Their pin wheels could use a little work, but otherwise the performance is excellent.  Reminds me of the good 'ole days when all I had to worry about was staying in step.  A few things to note... They're marching on ice.   They're carrying functional Garands.    They're playing music from one of the greatest movies, ever.   http://sorisomail.com/email/16993/exibicao-de-banda-militar--um-espectaculo-imperdivel.html

  10.   As does blowing the name of the movie in rebuttal. :) :)   However, I agree with your other points. And I'll buy from from CTD again when they have something I want at the price I'm willing to pay. 'Cause I'm a whore, and my bucks are largely apolitical if not outright amoral.   - OS

  12.   She wasn't there in person.  They just put her on for a brief moment to say who won best picture.  They asked her to do it, it wasn't like she lobbied for it.  I think we have bigger things to worry about than the first lady announcing who won the best picture.   These types of threads just make us look like a bunch of 10 year old's who had a ball taken away.  I don't like his policies anymore than you do, but these types of comments just make us look like a bunch of whiny losers.

  13. Sounds great. Hope you enjoy the Brown Bear and that it shoots well for you. No one asked you not to advise others. You were, in fact, thanked for doing so.   Meanwhile, CTD will still never see another dollar of MY money.

  17. Keep in mind that Obama's OFA is targeting voters in areas where they think that they can get a congresscritter to change their vote.  They had over 100 anti-gun rallies on Friday while pro-gun folks were working.  And every one of them got news attention, no matter how small.  Did anyone see any TV coverage of the 99 pro-gun rallies that were held Saturday?   We need to keep up the pressure because the opposition is pushing this with every lie they can make up.   Our biggest advantage is that a LOT more folks are fervently pro-gun than are anti-gun.

  18. Mosin rifle is perfect as is.  The Great Socialist Revolution has provided perfect rifle for Workers to use against Greedy Capitalist running-dog Oppressors!  All Workers are Equal with this rifle.  Bolt operation gives Workers Strong Right Arm!  Only weak American lackey arms need to use hammer or wood stick to beat bolt open when rifle gets warm!   Replace wood stock grown from trees of the Holy Motherland with Capitalist plastic produced from greedy aristocratic oil-scum ?!  Take this unpatriotic mewling scum out and shoot him with Excellent Cheka Commisar Nagant pistol.

  19. I have a SHTF stock pile that I started long before the madness, I will not get into it just for range time. That allows me the luxury of being able to shoot what I find now, with the exception of .22lr. I have several thousand rounds but not knowing when I could replace them I am reluctant to send them down the pipe without something in exchange, i.e. a squirrel, or something else for the cookfire.   On a side note, My FIL asked me tonight if I knew where to get some .22, I just chuckled. He told me he finished last box last week. I told him I had not seen any in a few weeks just to keep trying online and checking the stores. Then it happened, he asked if I still had some. I said I had a few, I had searched and found some online about a month ago. he asked if he could have some of mine so he could target shoot some more. He is a die hard democrat and I could not help but laugh as I told him, "that is a democrat for you, you spent al of yours so now you want some of what I have worked for and saved." I asked him how he voted last year, and he grinned and said "you know how I voted" so I told him "you reap what you sow." I also declined to "share the wealth". Does that make me an ass hole?

  20. Eh, Jackie Kennedy was the queen of FL media whoring, and I would have no problem with her bobbed cut hotness prancing across the TV every evening. I wish we had Jackie as FL right now.... she was so hot with those legs.... mmmm. No wonder America is obsessed with Kate Middleton. Nobody is jamming up Internet traffic looking for nipple slips of Michelle Obama.... but Kate... oh yes Kate...

  30. does this idiot think black people don't own property?   Seems to me they do already.   I assume black people do pool money same as white people. They buy and invest like anyone else.   If he expects these property owners to give away what they make I am pretty sure of the response he will get.

  31. Was he from MI? If so, I met him. My 14 year old son shot his 1st 1,000 yard match at that event. Had a rough start but once he got sighted, he got all 20 on target last 2 relays. Had some 9's, 10's and X, he shot a best of 162 1-x. Now that he feels more comfortable, we are going to do another one. Very fun! Wish I got to do that when I was 14.

  34. Anyone else going to watch it?   I never miss it, even had a party one year for it when I forgot it fell on my wedding anniversary date, LOL.   The warden is a trooper and did not flinch or smack me for it.  Even made a bunch of food to help out.   I would like to see Danica win but I don't particularly root for her.  I am picking Smoke to win but my heart will be riding around in Mark Martin's car.  If he wins I would probably start bawling.   I always get sort of homesick for Florida for this race.  If we still lived down there I would have been at the track this week for Thursday, Friday and Saturday's races,  We mostly never stuck around for the 500 except for '98 when Dale won it,   hoping for a safe race and MM in victory lane at the end.

  35. After reloading a few 9mm's, I was finally able to get out today and test them out. I'm happy to report that they worked wonderfully in my Glocks 17 and 26!    My loads were 115gr FMJ, with 5.5grains of Unique powder. OAL was 1.15 with fed through the pistols without a hitch. The brass that I was able to recover (shooting outside) was relatively clean with no splitting. I'm guessing that I'm going to stick with this formula for my target ammo since it works.   It sure feels good to shoot your own ammo without a problem... or at least it did for me.

  36. I read it twice, got me to thiking about where we are in this day and time. Here we are worried about our country and the direction it is going and things going in all over the world. We have bigger worries and most dont even see them, all they worry about the next check, phone, food stamp card. Our world is in a tuff place now and not a thing we can do about it. It would take many years to "fix" what is wrong unless something happens to bring us all togeather, to give us one cause to stand with each other.

  39. Hmmmm...., Wonder where my Airborne Battle Buddy got the idea to get a SIG TACOPS? With my Surefire X300 mounted, I'm using a BladeTech. Last year they were the only folks making one for a TACOPS using a X300. OK holster, but you can only use it with the light mounted, otherwise it won't lock-in. I picked up this holster made by Zero Concealment Systems for those times that I'm not running a light. It ready does carry the TACOPS well and is my first choice for those times when retention and all day carry is more important than speed. http://shop.zeroconcealmentsystems.com/main.sc I also found the the TACOPS will fit in a Blackhawk Sportster Standard CQC Concealment Holster. Model # 415603BK-R. Cheap, but it works. Of course I've taken a dremel and heatgun to all of them, so what they now look like now doesn't match these pictures. :dirty: Here is a link to a several page thread about SIG 1911 holsters. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=370591 Enjoy!

  40.   Yep, I'm convinced there are just 10 year olds that sit on Craigslist and flag posts.  I put a dog on there once and had it flagged every time I tried to put it up.  I don't get it.  I wish there was a button on my keyboard that would allow me to punch people in the face over the internet.

  42. I have been giving this some thought, I dont know if I would have "chased" the crook, but would have kept him in my eye sight, and be on the phone with 911. If he turned and saw me and I was on the phone, report that to 911, then I just dont know. I do not cherish the thought of firing my firearm at another person.

  43. Not saying what he did was a good idea, but IMHO would have been 100% legal under TN law.  You don't loose you right to 'stand your ground' just because you were robbed...  The good guy had every right to follow a criminal on a public street, and when that criminal once again became a threat to use deadly force to defend himself.   I'd go one step further though, under TN law the good guy would have been well within his rights to follow and attempt to arrest the robber (again not something I would recommend doing), although he wouldn't have been allowed to use or threaten deadly force in doing so...  but the instant the robber pointed a firearm at the good guy during the arrest, justified self defense would kick in.

  44.   Personally, with a few exceptions, I don't trust people.  I don't necessarily even mean that I think most people are purposefully out to do harm (although some are.)  I also mean that I don't trust most people not to do something stupid at the worst, possible time.  Some people happen to be police officers but that doesn't mean I trust them any more than I trust anyone else.    Further, some people are dishonest.  Some people are just plain jerks.  Wearing a badge and a uniform doesn't preclude the possibility that the person in said uniform could be potentially dishonest and/or a jerk the same as anyone else.  A badge isn't a magic talisman which burns all the 'bad' out of a person nor does it make me automatically trust the person wearing it.

  45. Looking at the GOC listings, there is no shortage of ammo.  There is a crapload available, all at SHTF prices (and apparently selling).    Quit buying from thieves.

  46. There is no duty to notify. If he has “a few” years on the job, he shouldn’t really need to go check that.   Having been a Police Officer I will notify. I will do it because I respect them, I want a safe stop for everyone involved, I want them on our side, and the pavement around here gets scalding hot during the summer months.
