Probably not a photoshop job. Her and her husband are the two biggest proponents of the old " I support the 2A, but…." line. It's like the only credentials the left think you need to make a statement on gun control is to qualify it with that line. I also can't stand how they think her getting shot somehow made her an expert on violence. Which makes about as much sense as saying that getting in a wreck qualifies me for the Daytona 500.6 points

Scientists are trapped on their boat in ice because of a blizzard in Antarctica, while on a mission to study the effects of global warming...multiple attempts to get them out with other ice breaker ships has failed. It doesn't get any funnier than that http://m.newsbusters.org/blogs/pj-gladnick/2013/12/28/msm-glosses-over-irony-global-warming-scientists-trapped-antarctic-ice#ixzz2ovITxKYv4 points

I have always been one that will try and help people that are truly in need. Been a long time now but shortly after coming from Service and close to Christmas 3 different families with about 11 or 12 kids of all ages suffered house fires and lost everything. These fires were all on same night and all within 10 miles of each other. I heard about it on the radio on my way to work at it just seemed like I could do something to help. As I drove onto work parking lot it hit me cause my boss was a U-Haul Rental Service along with operating an Exxon Station. As I went is and got a cup of coffee I asked the boss if I could rent the biggest truck on the lot and he told me yea and because we are a dealer we can get a dealer use rental. I pulled the truck up on the corner of the lot and called the radio station and all I told them is that the truck was located at the address of the station and if anyone wanted to help the families they could bring things and put them in the truck. The radio made sure the ages and sexes of all the kids was known. I had a 24 foot truck almost full by noon and not with any junk but all nice stuff including almost new appliances nice furniture and lots of nice clothes. The radio station was hammering it home all day. By about 2 o clock I had to move that truck and put up another. U-haul call the Shop and told my boss to just write the contracts on both trucks up as dealer use and would not cost us anything. There was several folks that called the station wanting to give appliances but had no way to haul them so yet a 3rd truck was out now picking up all the stuff locally with to guys from U Haul doing the work. That night the radio station managed to locate all of the adults from the 3 families and all three trucks loaded with everything they would need to replace almost everything they lost except for the personal stuff lost. The Nolensville Community Center was opened up and that is where everything was put until the families could arrange to get a new house to move the stuff to. The Gates Rubber and tire manufacturer in Goodlettsville brought full wrapped Christmas Presents and it was a delivery truck full of gifts and each gift was marked with boy or girl and the age the gift would best suit. No , I didn't go to deliver the stuff. I let U Haul and a few of our station employees deliver the stuff and bring the trucks back to our location. i did what I set out to do and once the trucks were full my job was over and I went home. The only thing I required of the radio station was my name was to never be mentioned. I was just called a good person that cared. I don't figure it matters much now since it was Christmas 1975. In all honesty I thought I might be lucky to get anything in one truck. I realized that day what it really meant to be an American and just how much being an American means. Many times I find it hard to believe I still live in that same America................jmho4 points

Charities are fine and all. Hard to argue with the results St Jude's produces, but I prefer to do most of it myself. Is not hard to find someone who needs help. I have three rules I lay down before I help someone in need. One, don't talk about it. Two, when you get on your feet, go help someone else. Three, DO NOT TALK ABOUT IT. Be sure and read the 6th chapter of the book of Matthew. There's some good guidelines on the subject there. Its a good practice even if you don't believe in God.4 points

For trivia, when the system was first announced in the Tennessean, it was referred to as the "Tennessee Intelligent Transportation System." Didn't take long for the name change to happen. Can you see why? :rofl:4 points
-
That's been there forever and it's the same info I could pull about you or anyone else thanks to the fact that Tennessee's HCP records are public information. He's been trying to bait me into a legal battle for years but I honestly couldn't care less which is what makes him completely powerless. Sooner or later natural selection is going to strike and he'll be a statistic. When it happens, I plan to visit his grave and take a nice big dump on it.4 points

I send a check every month to the Sumner County Humane Society or just go buy several big bags of dog food and deliver it their door. I try to buy puppy food, adult dog food and adult cat food each month. I don't think the employees eat the food so I feel it goes to the animals. They may take some home for personal animals but if they are going to steal they will steal..........jmho3 points

Why line the pockets of charities and their CEO`s and such..? Why not help out a family in need.. ? there are many local people who need your help. And a good perecentage of them are Vets.. Ask a church or a local hospital.. Or , you can also give to local shelters ( that included animal shelters) Animals cant speak or fend for themselves .. give them a chance also.3 points

+1 I ask people all the time what they are doing on my road and if it sounds sketchy I ask if they have an ID. There is no law that says I cannot ask but I cannot force them to produce an ID. They can tell me to F'off too but the whole point of me asking is so they know someone is aware of their presence.2 points

Total Having a court ruling that you are a likely danger to the public is a specific documented disqualifying event. If it’s not then let’s let both the Feds and the state know that they need to shut down background checks all together because they obviously (according to you) don’t have the authority to keep firearms out of the hands of nut cases. Maybe you will lose some of what you perceive as gun rights if you plan on dressing up as Timmy Tactical, strapping AK across your chest and walking through a park where families are trying to enjoy the day with their children without some nut case putting everyone in danger. Or open carrying your AR downtown thinking cops should be afraid to stop an obvious nutcase. Yes, if you think either of those things are okay then your rights are at risk. That will lead to concealed means concealed. I don’t open carry, but I don’t particularly want to see it banned; but being a nut case will lead to that.2 points

My prediction for the next elections: I think Hillary will run, she will be the democratic nominee, and (it's painful to say) she will probably be elected. I'm watching for her to come out hard in the spring of this year saying that she can 'fix' everything that Obama got wrong, especially Obamacare. (“We can fix it!†will probably her campaign slogan...) House and Senate Democrats will then run on how they need to be re-elected to help her get elected, and they will promise a free lunch (health care, higher minimum wage, immigration) to everyone to buy votes. The republicans will field a compromise, middle-of-the-road (e.g. Christie) candidate, and frustrated conservatives will give up before the election. Low-information voters will turn out in droves again to vote for the first female president, just like they did for the first black president. Then they’ll all spend the next 4-8 years blaming obstructionist republicans for all the country’s problems. It worked once, it will work again.2 points

First show I went to was at the Ag Center when Bob Pope was still organizing them. That was several years ago and it was great. The entire hall was filled with vendors and attendees. Since RK took over, it's gone steadily downhill ever since. I won't even waste my time on it anymore.2 points

I took my kids out a few days before Christmas to look at Christmas lights. This was around 5 pm. Our trip was delayed by a drunk who had plowed into a van at 70 mph in a 45 mph zone, at 5 in the evening. He had hit several other vehicles in two hit-and-runs just prior to this. He hurt a lot of people that night. He was only charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. This is why we have problems. There are no consequences to the actions of these people. There should felony charges for aggravated assault when you get sauced up and hurt people. The act is intentional. If we were a few minutes earlier leaving the house this may have been us getting hit, with my babies in the car. Hurting my children because you're a drunk ahole should come with severe penalties. Not a fine and one night in jail. Our government condones this behavior by not leveling more serious charges. Drunk driving should be a felony the second you injure someone. It should come with a death sentence. Drunk drivers deserve to die.2 points

Yeah, I saw this crap. What's worse is that I saw someone post "If you don't like it don't go to the church". Which made me think: If you don't like guns, don't buy one If you don't like this country, leave it If you don't like a Christmas sign, don't look at it If you don't like getting arrested, don't break the law The list goes on and on, but I bet you my last bite of food the person who made the above statement argues all of my statements.2 points

I can give you that one, but I am more of a results oriented person. Judging by that standard, Bush and Obama are both equal disasters for the liberty and freedom of the American people.2 points

Yup. Patriot Act stuff is perhaps the most significant infringement on overall rights in our history, really a giant leap forward for the Big Brother State. Also, Dubya said he sign extension of the AUB AWB if Congress authorized it and was also for universal background checks. Fortunately, he was too dumb to do nearly the damage that BHO has, and without Cheney's evil brain would likely have been quite a bit even more benign. Though I'll always consider both as war criminals for Iraq. - OS2 points

Count me in. Mostly civil war stuff but I'm up for anything. My most current machine is the Fisher F-75se, AKA F75 "Black" < I've hunted for a long time and have had lots of high and low end machines. I can't say enough about this F-75se, unreal. Last decent find is a 1851 pattern sword plate a few weeks ago.1 point

Believe it or not they had a very nice news story on CBS news at 5:30 and they were very forth coming with the real reason for the trip and admitted it was to seek information on the Global Warming and Ice melting. I guess by now they have plenty of information to research and if they can't move because of that MELTING ICE they should have plenty of time to talk about it cause they are not going anywhere anytime soon. I think I read somewhere that the U.S. Military has agreed to send some of our Naval Ice Breakers down to rescue them as our Ice Breakers are better equip to do the job than the private ones are that tried. I say leave them there and if need be fly in supplies and drop them near the stuck boat and that is all the help I would send.................jmho1 point

For storage, I'm more of a 40mm "thumper" can kinda guy, so I'm always on the hunt for them at reasonable prices. I only use a few 50cal cans, mainly for range trips and brass sorting. 30cal cans are practically useless to me.1 point

If anyone remembers to swift action Putin took when they captured that school some years back there were some children lost in it but all the bad guys where killed. I'm sure it is because he is helping the Syrian leader and it is that guys enemies that are doing it. You can bet Putin has a shoot to kill order out now for anyone that even looks like they might be up to something out of the ordinary.................jmho1 point

Moscato is already a very sweet, syrupy wine. I can't drink more than a small glass. As for mead, you can spend 5 bucks on honey and make about 5 bottles on your own. I make my own. It takes little effort and turns out as good as anything you can buy. Toss a can of cherries during first fermentation into a batch and ya got somethin' purdy tasty. I have a few gallons that are about to be bottled this week. Last sample was pretty good.1 point

While I agree all of my guns are "rare". They belong to me and only me. No one else. I sometimes allow others to shoot them but they are mine. What makes them so rare is they are mine and not yours. Once you get your gun it will be rare as no one else owns it. There may be many like it but it is yours, not theirs. :D Lp1 point
