I got my butt whipped with a belt a few times as a kid. It was reserved for corporal punishment and usually when I had been corrected several times previously and still disobeyed or when I had done something dangerous/damaging, I deserved it when it happened, and I think I turned out alright. I disagree with anyone who believes that spanking a child isn't a viable correction tool. There are a lot of leaches on society out there who might have turned out better if they'd had a knot jerked in their asses when they were kids. But I digress. As it relates to the story at hand, I really can't help but think that someone just has it out for the whole SoG "family". Granted what Will Hayden is accused of, if guilty, is reprehensible and deserves the full punishment of the law (and then some) but what these two were accused of sounds like nothing more than a child getting disciplined. Maybe I'm just becoming increasingly skeptical in my old age, but it sure seems that someone, somewhere, decided to put this family out of business and ruin them forever.11 points

When you have so much advertising crap on your web site it’s hard to find the information I clicked on it for, or if you are a news site and you think you are going to force me to watch a video advertisement… you are wrong, I’ll click back and head somewhere else. It’s your job to get advertisement dollars, but when you interrupt the flow; you are an idiot. That is all.5 points

Like Will said on the show, "No show is complete without a big explosion at the end" Congrats on the big finale!5 points

The reason this happened is because the guilty party was emboldened by the lack of punishment when he was caught doing the same thing only a year ago. By letting these feral creatures back into society without any punishment (probation is NOT punishment), they are actually encouraged by the liberal courts to assault and murder the innocent members of society. All perpetrators who commit unprovoked acts of violence towards innocent people should be put to death. Rape, murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery should all carry an automatic death sentence. Anyone who would commit such acts has no place in society, and doesn't deserve the opportunity for redemption, and surely doesn't deserve freedom. They deserve to die. Painfully. Seems like it is getting better. And I agree with Frankmako completely I hope the gougers have to eat it and choke on it when they do. I wonder if these gun shops that gouge realize that they loose business because of this. Case in point, a few weeks ago the wife and I were on a little road trip and stopped in at a well known gun shop that I won't say the name of but it is in Benton, Tennessee. I was just planning on doing a little browsing, checking to see if they did have .22 ammo in stock, and picking up a holster for a gun that I had just acquired. Well they did have some .22 in stock 525 (I think) boxes of Remington Thunderbolt, which was priced at $70 or $75 a box, can't remember exactly. In protest refused to buy the holster that I was going after. And, because I'm stubborn I'll probably never cross their threshold again.3 points

My old Mitsubishi DLP television finally bit the dust, so I was forced to find a replacement. I was looking at the new fangled 4K sets, but I kept reading reviews that there was very little content for 4K at the moment. I finally decided on a 65inch Samsung LED Smart 3D HDTV. All I can say is wow. This thing is 65 inches of 240Hz, 960CMR, Quad Core Processing happiness. I didn't think that I would notice much difference from the old DLP, but boy was I wrong. I watched "Lone Survivor" again and it felt like I was on that mountaintop with those amazing warriors. The picture was so lifelike that it was almost spooky. I realize that no one needs everything that this television offers, but it's sure amazing to have it at my disposal. I can only imagine what the 4K experience must be like. Anyone else have similar experiences?2 points

I usually go to bed about 1:00 AM and get up about 9:00. Everyone in my neighborhood seems to want to mow the grass at 7:00 AM. We need some kind of noise ban from 8:00 PM until 9:00 AM. No two people keep the same hours and he probably has no idea it is bothering you. People just do not think anymore.2 points

Put a 60" in the man cave in the new house. Let's just say football season has been more enjoyable, even being a Tennessee Vols and Titans fan.2 points

I will occasionally surrender and take about 1/2 of a teaspoon of Claritin for children. For me the antihistamines are worse than the cause. Back in the 70's I used to pay to feel the way the antihistamines make me feel.2 points

i hope the flea market guy has to eat the ammo. the ammo will make it back and with more stores not putting it out at the same time each week it give us normal guys a chance to buy some. the price will come down next because people are not going to spend money on high price ammo when they need to spend it on high price food. $30.00 for 325 rounds is just to high. i hope bud's eat it too. sportsman here is now putting the 22 ammo out at different times and days. now they don't have the monday morning long line of butt heads waiting at the front door at oping to get the ammo for resale.2 points

It's folks like this who cause me to mentally justify unthinkable things. Most the time I respect the laws which make society civil; other times I wish society would let folks like me off the chain for a few days to take care of human garbage who prey on the weak without remorse. They need a dose of their own medicine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Btw. Your age is showing when you make a statement like that. Instead of saying "going to the station to fill up my car, vehicle, etc" you made sure to make mention of a 67 Mustang. Thats a mark of someone immature looking for attention. If thats the case, strapping on a knife will get you the attention you seek from both sides of the law. Make sure you can back it up, both by knowing the legalities of carrying a blade when your speaking to the law, and how to use it if you get confronted by someone who has hurting you on their mind. Otherwise it will only serve to bring you much grief and woe.2 points

I had the opportunity to train with Col. Dwight Mclemore this weekend. He is the authoer of several books, including Bowie and Big knife fighting systems, Bowie knife advanced techniques, the fighting tomahawk, and several others. He was a gentleman, a gracious host, and an amazing teacher. We trained on big knife fighting, double knife, hawk and knife, and discussed Gladiator and Viking armor, weapons and techniques. I have learned a great deal, and got to train with a real professional. Here are some pictures of the group. Hawk and knife draw practice Debrief and knife discussion Live steel slow sparring with my dad. He has a Windlass primitive bowie and I have a Randall Thorpe bowie. They are sharp Viking style helm and shield with hand forged axe and viking sword Mirmillo Gladiator armor and gladiud1 point

We've had a Samsung 65" for a while now. It is very impressive. The only drawback to it is that it really needs a bigger room instead of our small living room for it. Great picture and sound. And although I haven't seen a 3-D movie I was impressed with much, the set does a good job with them. I considered a sound bar to go with it, but I really can't see a need for it. This thing will blow us out of the house now.1 point

After some input in another thread, I did a few things to my old bow and decided to get out and try a little turkey hunting this morning. My buddies farm has turkey's everywhere most of the time so with a little patience, you can almost always expect to get a shot. Just sat in a small popup blind and put out a decoy. Saw 4 come down from roost and another 15 walk from a lower field about 70 yards away. It was kind of neat to watch some of the 15 fly up in the trees and walk around. The shot below is from my Iphone through my binoculars. A bit hard to see, but pretty cool. A group of 4 came back around and I was able to get a shot at 11-12yds out, so another successful day. Not a huge one, but should be good eating. Now to brine overnight and get the smoker ready. Now on to looking for the big boy deer!1 point

I still think I'm high tech because I have a 52" with HD. I'm behind the times, but hey, I'm happy with it versus the old 19 incher! Congrats on your new theater!1 point

This is a look into the minds of these scum IMHO. They actually justify these types of killings by basing it on the race of the perp vs the victim. If it's black on white, then they celebrate. If it's white on black they flood the streets with violence and protests. If it's black on black they don't say a word. Due to the coddling of these people by the authorities and society, the situation continues to deteriorate. All the talk about "white privilege" and America's history of slavery, which nobody alive today participated in, accelerates the division of America. The Progressives have identified the fact that you can't convert a society. You have to take a society apart to build a new one. This is the goal of the Progressive Left.1 point

I'm glad you all enjoyed the review. To respond to some of the questions / comments: Sorry, haven't taken pics, and don't know how to post. Autumn is a busy time for me. My sample looks like the best of the pictures you will see posted. Very attractive for a "commie gun". "Comfortable" is not the right word for the stock, but it's not uncomfortable, either. Handy as heck, though. I wouldn't dream of swapping it out for a fixed stock. When folded, it's shorter than my 11.5 AR pistol, which allows it to fit neatly into a tennis racket case. As CM1021 said, I will be paracord wrapping mine soon. Differences from a VZ58 are new, American made receiver, new Green Mountain barrel (also US manufacture), full 16" threaded barrel. May be more - I'm kinda new to this platform. I have it on very good authority from an Industry Professional on M4C that Century has contracted out the assembly of post-2011 VZ2008s. He is of the opinion that this is why later models have better track records. My sample left the factory in May 2014 according to the label on the trigger guard. All text on the receiver is on the left side. 150 more rounds fired without cleaning since the initial 440. These were mixed Tula, Wolf MC, and Wolf Poly, 100% function with all, including mixed mags. Not really surprising as there's hardly any real difference in the 3. Parts and accessories are readily available at Czeckpoint and Zahal, among others. I agree with Djay3, 7.62 X 39 is underrated and accuracy is more than adequate for a short to mid-range fighting carbine.1 point
