Well, it's finally here. Took almost a year and a half but I have my new double rifle in my hot little hands. She's a bespoke double built specifically for me by L'Atelier Verney Carron. Azur model in .450-400 Nitro Express. She handles like a dream. I can close my eyes and shoulder the rifle... when I open them the sights are perfectly aligned. The balance on this thing is unbelievable and makes this 9.6lb rifle feel much lighter than it is. Of course all this quality comes at a steep price... this is by far the most expensive weapon I've ever purchased and the only way I pulled it off is with the help of TGO. I joke that in order to afford her I had to sell every gun I own that doesn't have a name and while that's an exaggeration it's only because I don't name my handguns. So, if you've bought a gun from me in the last year and a half... thank you... you helped pay for this bad girl. Oleg Volk did a photo shoot with her and you'll find some of the photos below. These are unretouched studio shots so there are a few studio artifacts that will be removed before they are published, but I just couldn't wait to show her off. Enjoy and thanks again to everyone who helped me make this happen.10 points

He was a true icon. A genius. He could dance, play his ass off and sing better than most. I can't believe he is gone. Apparently, he was just talking about chemtrails and NWO stuff, so all the conspiracy nuts are already chiming in.. Regardless of cause, he will be missed.5 points

Now that spring has sprung the return of those ice cream trucks with the annoying loudspeakers blasting out "Hello!" and crappy music has followed. Every time I hear one I consider getting my rifle out and blasting their loudspeaker off their roof! Is it just me that hate those trucks?2 points

Finally got the Aero M5 308 out to the range. Always love shooting the 308. Very easy to get the Anderson adjustable gas block set up. It adjust from the front, ala SLR's (the best), but cost a lot less. Don't have to take the handguard off to adjust either. Bushnell 4-12 AR BDC dialed in great. Got to do a something with the trigger. Had light primer strikes. Probably due to the JP springs. Gonna get a RRA NM. The KAK barrel ran great! Ran some extra Wolf steel case I had laying around. I figure if I can get that to run, anything will. Here is 10@100 yrds off hand with a bipod. The flyers were all me, but at least I was consistent in my flinching! [emoji2] It was pretty windy as well.[emoji6]2 points

This isn't a problem. It's just a symptom of the real problem. I could care less about a black woman on our money. Like Trump said, Put her on a new denomination and be happy. BUT NO, they (who's they?!!? LOL!) are removing and destroying anything and everything contrary to their reasoning. When the Nazi power rose they laid waste to historical documents and artifacts that were in contradiction to their ultimate goal. Isis is doing this right now and destroying anything that doesn't fall in line with sharia filth. Like it or not, this is the new AmeriKa. Don't like it? Too bad. For those of us under 40 or so, go cuss your elders for letting this happen. It started long ago but the ball started rolling in the 60's and has picked up speed ever since. The ONLY reason the Feds and the liberal movement can do what they do today is because they have been allowed to. My father, grand father and great grand father are directly responsible and so are yours. This isn't a blame game mind you but good men sat on their ass and allowed the GCA of 1934 & 1968. Good men sat by and did nothing during Roe vs Wade. Good men sat by and let a bunch of GD tree hugging hippies bring communism in our homes and now the roots run so deep, the whole of our land will need to be turned, tilled and disced to get it out. The Constitution is [was] a beautiful document flawlessly prepared with checks and balances. The American men and women of the last century have done a piss poor job of using those checks to maintain balance. AND, guess what? It's too late. IF you think there's anything left to save, one word....Delusion. I could give a rats azz about a $20 bill and who's picture is on it. It's the message this change conveys, not the action itself.2 points

You are trying to get me in trouble...aren't you? We had some talk about this around the home place last night. Not really in favor of it, but short of a revolution, we didn't find a way to stop it. Had this been done in a different way, by different people; all with discussion and not rammed thru by this rotten, derisive, and trouble-making administration...I don't think it would have been an issue.2 points

An outstanding pistol. Enjoy it and remember your friend. I know how you feel. A few years back, a dear friend of mine passed away. I was at the house after the funeral and his wife walked up to me, handed me his favorite gun and simply said "Bill wanted you to have this." Its a 6" S&W Model 29. I'll never sell it. Shooting it brings back fond memories of my friend. I've made arrangements that when my time comes, it will go to my best friend who also knew the original owner. As long as someone remembers you, you're never really gone.2 points

They want to put MLK on the back of the $5. Personally He was more influential IMO so maybe a new bill with MLK and Ms. Tubman on the back? [URL=http://s779.photobucket.com/user/richarddacat/media/CggwQqlWQAEFzHt_zpsgt7kec2e.jpg.html][/URL]2 points

I don't really care who's on the currency. Harriet Tubman was a very noble human being. Sacagawea was hotter, but whatever.2 points

If the bills are new then how is it history? Personally, I don't give a rat's butt who's on the bill as long as it buys what I want when I want. :shrug:2 points

What about this is so aggravating to conservatives? Not trying to be funny, I genuinely don't understand why so many people are fired up over this.2 points

I think they do stuff on purpose just to piss traditional conservatives off. I'm rather sick of it too.2 points

There are men left, you are just looking in the wrong place. I served side by side with many of them in the Marines Corps. They exist in all branches of the military, and still exist in the blue collar world of manual labor, both skilled and unskilled. Though the numbers dwindle, the men are still out there. As for the hero above, I had heard his story before and all I can say is that some men just refuse to die. Sent from behind the anvil1 point

To be honest I have not looked at magazines but now that you bring it up I need to pick up a few as this is definitely a keeper. Thanks again for sharing this story. I have reached out to a lot of dear friends I haven't spoken to in awhile. It is our time together that matters.1 point

Dangit, they should have to give you a refund if they take more than 90 days. I've had this dang thing for 5 months and haven't been able to go shooting, that should be illegal.1 point

Think of it this way (and tell your liberal buddies) that they are removing a democrat from the $20 and replacing him with a gun-toting Republican. :-)1 point

I did that 20 plus years ago. I have enough land that I don't see another home from mine and the occasional gun fire is normal. The bad news is that low bass thump travels well through the hollows and it's becoming way too frequent these days. Usually 2 Cmag dumps on full auto will shut it up for a while. :eek:1 point

Nope! I don't like the bumpity-bump of stereos so loud that you can hear the crappy cars rattling apart either. I need to move to the country. :(1 point

To add even more fuel to the fire, the colleges can "opt out" by doing absolutely nothing at all. Read Amendment SA0999 and see if your blood starts boiling like mine is right now. http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB2376&ga=1091 point

I'm not taking up for Brad at All, but why in the World would you send your Gun Parts all the way to Tennessee to get a Barrel threaded and slide work done on your pistol? That in itself sounds Fishy to me, their are So Many Accomplished Gunsmith's where you are? I would like to ask you where you read these Posts about Brad that you said convinced you to send Him your Gun Parts? I would Really like to read them, for myself?? Thanks1 point

Great day in the woods. Doubled with my buddy last year on 4/20 and pulled it off again today. "So he cocked both his pistols, spit in the dirt, and walked out in to the street."1 point

Yea, I saw that when I went recently. I don't make decisions for others nor do I give legal advice so don't blame me if you (the collective 'you', not referring specifically to click23) run into problems but I don't consider that to be a legal posting that applies to HCP holders - especially in light of the state law allowing HCP holders to carry in parks. I have spent time, effort and money on carrying legally and it pisses me off when places like this try to 'post', even when it isn't legal, just because someone on the board or whatever happens to be a hoplophobe. The 'rule' also isn't 'posted prominently' at the entrances. In fact, I only saw it because someone who was with me noticed it otherwise I would never even have seen it, at all. I will just say that the giraffes didn't wand me nor did the river otters frisk me and that concealed means concealed.1 point

That sort of misinformation comes from someone who knows they don't have the answer, but their manhood would feel threatened if they dared to admit they don't know everything.1 point
