2. There are douchenozzles on the Interwebz. News at 11.       Are you saying that censorship is the right way to handle speech with which you disagree?

 3. No, that’s not how it works. If the material can be identified it is either returned to the owner or seized as evidence. I wouldn’t pay the scrap yard a dime, and if I was the responding Officer they would give the name of who brought it in or they would be arrested also. Sounds like someone is giving you a BS story.

 6. A young cowboy from Montana goes off to college. Half way through the semester, having foolishly squandered all his money .... he calls home. "Dad," he says, "You won't believe what modern education is developing! They actually have a program here in Alabama that will teach our dog, Ole' Blue how to talk!" "That's amazing," his Dad says. "How do I get Ole' Blue in that program?" "Just send him down here with $1,000" the young cowboy says "and I'll get him in the course." So, his father sends the dog and $1,000. About two-thirds of the way through the semester the money again runs out. The boy calls home. "So how's Ole' Blue doing son?" his father asks. "Awesome, Dad, he's talking up a storm," he says, "but you just won't believe this -- they've had such good results they have started to teach the animals how to read!" "Read!?" says his father, "No kidding! How do we get Blue in that program?" "Just send $2,500, I'll get him in the class." The money promptly arrives. But our hero has a problem. At the end of the year, his father will find out the dog can neither talk, nor read. So he shoots the dog. When he arrives home at the end of the year, his father is all excited. "Where's Ole' Blue? I just can't wait to see him read something and talk!" "Dad," the boy says, "I have some grim news. Yesterday morning, just before we left to drive home, Ole' Blue was in the living room, kicked back in the recliner, reading the Wall Street Journal, like he usually does". "Then Ole' Blue turned to me and asked, so, is your daddy still messing around with that little redhead who lives down the street?" The father went white and exclaimed, "I hope you shot that lying dog before he talks to your Mother!" "I sure did, Dad!" "That's my boy!" The kid went on to law school, and now serves in Washington D.C. as a Congressman.

 10.   No sir, I wasn't referring to you, or this thread, at all and I never took it as a dig.  This is a legit gripe.  Sorry if I came across otherwise.  I was just speaking in generalities in the second part of my post. I'm generally not an LE apologist...I've weighed in on the dip####s as much as I've been pro-cop here.  Every field has them.   Me, and my agency, are definitely NOT perfect.  But when I hear stories like your OP, I just shake my head.   BTW, I'm assuming the dollar amount puts the theft in the felony range.  I would not consider that trivial at all.  Regards.

 11.   Most wont because it's not about truth and facts, many will simply refuse to admit that it is Islam that is still acting like they did 1000 years ago and not everyone else. That's why they have to go back 1000 years to find some argument to attempt to defend their position, then I have heard some of them try to compare one single person who comitted a terrorist attack,(McVeigh) to the thousands of attacks that happen every year in the name of Islam. It doesn't matter to them to remind them that America convicted and executed McVeigh they will still try to make a comparison. I really believe that these liberal-progressive radicals hate us much more than they hate the real enemy, 10th century Islamists. They are always trying to make some excuse for them, and that's exactly what it is, an excuse for acting the way they do, they sympathize with evil jihadist murderers because they hate conservative thinking traditional,(real) Americans. We are in a cold civil war of ideoligies in America between the socialists, (liberal-progressives), and traditional Americans who still believe that America is the greatest country. We are not going to give the enemy a real fight until the socialist liberal progressive who can't admit that radical Islam is the real enemy is out of the WH in 2016.

 13.   Mostly this. This case is a slam dunk for a "defective."  :) They like those, as these cases boost their "clearance rates."  I'm really surpised that they're not jumping on this. This would not be the case where I work.      This leads me to a personal / TGO thing.  Sometimes I read anti-cop type posts here and, of course, they're not my favorite. But understand, I base my LE opinions on where I work, my officers (I supervise 12), and how we do things.  For the most part, I think we get it right. Apparently, that's not the case across the State...and I have to remind myself of that. So I guess to say, if you base your LE opinions on personal experience (or close 2nd hand as in this case), good or bad, I'm cool with that. But the "my brother's wife's cousin's" stories are always silly to me.   Sorry, back to the topic...

 14. Got this Willet Straight Rye Small Batch last week at a silent auction. It's bottled at barrel strength 108 so it's definitely a little hot. It's got a pretty sweat taste on the front with some oaky char on the back. It got better as it diluted a little. I think it'll be great in an old fashion or Manhattan

 18. or maybe the police just don't care.   I am sure they feel there are bigger fish to fry than a thieving pillhead.      I would not be surprised if the scrap yard knew it was stolen.   Pawn shops know when they are dealing with a thief and they don't care.

 19. Obama dies and goes to hell. Satan says, here's no room but you ain't leaving so I'm gonna let one person go and since I'm the king of making deals, I'll let you decide who I let go and you can take their place. Room one, Al Gore getting fried by the sun with no ozone protecting him. ...Obama says, no not this one. Room two, Ted Kennedy drowns in a pool of alcohol. ...no, not this one. Room three, Bill Clinton is kicked back smoking a cigar while Monica lewinsky is under his desk doing what she does best. He's got a million dollar smile on his face. ...Obama says, oh I'll take this one. Ole devil grins and says..." Okay Monica, your free to go."

 21. Really though, I'm only kidding myself. I am rich in .22 though. Got a call from my mom today who was going through some things and found these two bricks of .22. Long story short it's mine now. Check it out, $ .94 per box of 50. It hasn't been that low in a long time. Next thing to do is take it out to the range tomorrow and test it for quality purposes.

 24. From what I've read on American Longrifles & the Muzzleloading forum, black powder basically never goes bad. Even if it gets wet, it can be dried, re-ground & still be just as potent. It's only 3 very basic elements...

 27. It would take what most Americans are unwilling to do and that is kill every Muslim born for the next two generations. Until we do that every little Muslim will grow up to be a big threat. Drive the Muslim religion underground and it will eventually disappear.

 28. A contractor on my project recently had a problem with materials being stolen from the job site. It was galvanized steel, easily identifiable, and sold to a local scrapyard.   He locates it, and asks to gets part of it back. the rest had already been hauled off, or whatever they do with it.  The scrapyard makes him get a police report, which he does, and then has to pay scrap price to get it back.   The scrapyard would not tell him who sold it to them, although they have a license and thumbprint of the thief.   The police have done nothing but print a report, and indicate that's all they intend to do.   This seems like B.S. to me. I am not familiar with how law enforcement works, but shouldn't they arrest the thief or something?   I this is how law enforcement works, why do we have law enforcement?

 43. I also miss America. I bet that cop didn't shoot himself either!! I grew up in this same environment as in those pics and I can tell you it was a better place to be. When a 9 year old could go into the local Western Auto and buy a box of 22 shorts for $0.29 and better than that nobody thought this was a "bad" thing. You could carry a pocket knife to school, or on  an airplane for that matter, while folks lit up a cigarette and had a drink!! We have given our America away to folks that don't LOVE it like we do, so how do we get it back??

 45.   Sadly enough there's people who will not research and pay those prices. I had a friend show me and brag about this cool old Russian rifle, (Mosin 91/30) that he only paid $200 for off some dude at work. He really thought he got a good deal. I told him later what he could have really bought one for but I didn't have the heart to burst his bubble right then.

 46. I have never had great luck with the 7.5's. Try some Tula SRM primers and you will see a reduction in your SD numbers. Matter of fact when using 7.5 primers I had the worst SD numbers ever. This was against CCI 400, CCI 41, Wolf and Tula. I bought a bunch of 7.5s back in 2008 when all primers were scarce and I still have a bunch left over as last resort, or plinking, primers.

 47. I have read many threads on this subject and I really believe if you aren't where you intend to be you probably won't get there. I know all about bugout locations and such, but on your way home tomorrow, imagine something bad happened and you are stuck in the worst traffic jam you have ever seen. Now how is your $100K + 4x4 or 6x6 going to get you to your destination to begin your journey to you BOL. Just think how a simple traffic accident can clog up the interstate or 2 lane for hours. Now take that number of immobile vehicles and multiply by 1,000 or more and you get the gist. I recently was reminded that a few pairs of good hiking-walking boots or shoes would be the best method of mobility. Sorry to bust any bubbles, but although both my vehicles are 4x4 and I have a 4x4 Kawasaki Mule, eventually I will be on foot. Best of luck to us all if a SHTF scenario comes our way.
