  1. The local V A Hospital called me this morning, and I get my first Coved shot on Wednesday(27th) and the second 4 weeks later. Getting the Moderna(S) Vaccine. Will be exceedingly glad. Been told to take a Modem tablet prior. Let you know how it goes.

  5. Pretty sure it's a joke from the inauguration, where he was seen in a chair alone in attendance. There's a million emails and memes going around about it. The sight of him sitting there alone went 'viral' I guess.

Put the rod down and put your hands behind your back, we are arresting you on the grounds you may hurt a sweet little fish that is swimming in his own backyard minding his own business. 9. For the times I open carry I very much like the Safariland ALS holsters. A tough holster with level II retention that still allows for a quick draw of the gun although it lacks the aesthetics of a finely crafted leather holster. For a hard case I have been pleased with these Pelican alternatives: https://www.harborfreight.com/9800-weatherproof-protective-rifle-case-long-black-64520.html

  10. This is what I do as well. If you really want to get "uptown" in storage, check Amazon for some foam inserts for ammo cans that are precut to hold mags in place. I've got some of 9mm and 556 both. And for real slick storage, you can get some nice molded plastic cans for them as well. Either method will work.

  11. Between the virus and Democrats we can blame them both but in reality I think there is a lot of profiteering going on.

  12. I just get surplus military ammo cans and some dense cell foam and make my own. Metal and water tight. If you are storing for a while, pick up some bags of silica gel (easy to find on Amazon) and drop one in each can to control moisture.

  13. I've went through dozens of holsters before finally deciding on just a plain pancake style leather holster for daily carry. I found a good custom holster maker (https://www.desertgunleather.com) and have been having him make all of my holsters since. I do usually have to wait 4-6 weeks for any new holster. The only non-pancake holster I've purchased in the last few years is I had Rick make an Avenger style holster for the IWI Masada setup for a Holosun dot sight. I prefer leather holsters for comfort. Wet-molded leather has enough retention for my use since I don't plan on running... not

  14. No, that is NOT capitalism, it's profiteering. Capitalism assumes adding value. People who wait on line to buy ammo, then sell it two hours later are contributing mightily to the whole problem. At best it's unethical.

  15. I work at Academy part time and we get ammo in regularly. The problem is the guys standing in line and buying the ammo up to resale. I know it's capitalism but it still annoys the crap out of me. If those people would stop ammo would become much more available, a lot of times we are our own worst enemy.

  16. This is a mint Puritan AR upper in 7.62x39 made by Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF) who makes high end ARs. Puritan is a short-stroke piston driven semi-automatic rifle. The P.O.F. gas piston system is unique in that it isn't only the key component for the rifle's semi-automatic operation, but is also part of the Company's proprietary, patended E² Dual Extraction Chamber(link is external)extraction and ejection system. 3 gas level to shoot single, semiautomatic and surpressor. I run about 200 rounds of all kinds of steel or brass ammo through it , not a single issue, extremely clean bo

  18. I believe the point is that this was a huge formal occasion for the democrats. Most were dressed in their very best. Then old Bern shows up casually dressed for cold weather like the inauguration was just another stop between the Post Office and the grocery store on the day's to do list. Lots of Dems are pissed off at him for not taking it more serious. Meanwhile the rest of the country is laughing their butts off. Hell, Bernies gettin' more mileage out of the inauguration than Biden did.

  33. I’ve got one of those Harbor freight Apache cases, and it is about as sturdy of a case as I’ve seen. With the coupon you can usually get it for about $110 or so. i’ve also got to say that if you need an overt holster with active retention, the Safariland with the ALS system is the only way to go. Everything else runs the gamut from merely falling short, to straight garbage (Serpa).

  34. well ammo sales have now scratched one of my local stores from my visit/buy from list. Went in last night, said good evening, put my mask on and per the notice on the door proceeded to the table and "sanitized" my hands. I proceeded directly to the ammo isle and found what I wanted. One of the staff came over and asked if he could help me find anything. "No thank you, I found what I need" I made my choice between the two different bullets and picked up two boxes. As I straightened up he returned to tell me they have a limit of one box. (20 rds) in each caliber. Ok, put one box back and made a

  35. For the hard case, how sturdy are you talking about? A cheap Plano from Academy will keep a long gun protected for going to/from the range in the trunk of a car/back of a truck. I wouldn't want to use one as checked baggage on an airline for a hunting trip. You also can't store one on the bottom of a pile of crap without deforming the plastic. For stronger I'd opt for something like that Harbor Freight one if I needed to ship one or store it with stacks of other stuff on top of it. Of course if we're talking about a multi-thousand dollar hand crafted O/U shotgun, Pelican all the way.

  37. I have a Bianchi Model 82 leather OWB for my G19/G26. It has their "Carry Lock" retention. There's a catch that holds the trigger guard and a lever /switch right below it to release it. I like it well enough, though I usually carry a single stack (Kahr PM9, G43, or Shield) IWB in a Remora holster.

  44. No. They do provide a lot of emails explaining their Legal and legislative actions. There is a prominent link in each email to donate to the legal fund. So instead of the NRA tactic of “look! It’s bad people, give us money so we can do stuff!“ They are going the route of “here is what we are doing. If you would like to further support us, go here.“ It’s a small, but very significant difference to me.

  45. I belong to both. Despite its current problems, the NRA does have clout. They also have some serious internal problems that have gone on for years. King Wayne long ago got much to into playing politics and became our own worst enemy. Honestly, I hope he ends up in jail. Hopefully, the NRA will come through these troubles better for the experience and regain its glory. Omega is right about GOA. These guys are bare knuckle fighters and don't back down or compromise. If GOA was as big as the NRA, we wouldn't have to fight for our rights. Maybe the NRA's current problems will help GOA grow.
