1. Shame on you guys.. The neighborly thing to do is to invide them to a BBQ after their 5 pm prayers..     :usa:

 2. My question-why do outsiders move in and expect everyone around them change to satisfy their needs.I say they can move back to their home country if they don't like it.

 3. I think I have said this before and I will say it again. These people move in, and just think they can have their way. It happens every where just not in TX. I am proud of the farmer for standing up to this scourge, that is slowly but surely undermining the way of life in the USA.   Yes, we have freedom of religion don’t get me wrong. If these folks want to howl at the moon, bang a gong and talk to their dead ancestors (or what ever they do) I have no problem with it.. But if they want me to change something, just because they don’t like it???     SCREW THEM!!!!!!!

 7. All you will get from anyone including an attorney is an opinion; unless there is case law. You live in a state where it is illegal for a citizen to carry a gun: an HCP is a defense to that charge; so it is always prosecutable. I gave you the statue number and someone else quoted the text. The Police Officer at the scene will decided if you are arrested and the DA will decide if you are charged. How and why the gun became an issue will be a bigger deciding factor in that than the license status. If it makes sense to you that we all could just get out of state non-resident permits instead of getting a TN HCP permit; then go with it. You asked the question of us if we think your plan is legitimate. Most have told you no. We discuss opinions on the laws a lot here; but you are the only one that will be held responsible for your acts.

 12. If you guessed the Swedish Mauser, you are correct :) They are often regarded as some having the finest quality metals used in manufacturing. I just bought one yesterday! A Carl Gustav Stads Gevarsfaktori model made in 1900 with all numbers matching. This rifle was originally an M1896 model that was cut down to the M1938B model (or Gevar M/96-38B). These can easily be identified by the straight bolt instead of the bent bolt. The B designates the threaded barrel. Why the threads in WW2??? It was for mounting a shredding device for the wooden training ammo! This example also has the special Metallverken Vasteras type 2 rear sight insert, adjustable for 250-600 meters in 25 meter increments. The stock disk is stamped to indicate bore condition, throat erosion, and the wording indicated to the soldier whether "kentucky windage" was needed for the newer 6.5x55 cartridge being used at that time. Purpose built M38's were calibrated from the factory for this round. The upmost desirable Swedish Mauser is one made by Waffenfabrik in 1895. Read more on this rifle's accuracy and origin according to the article in the summer/fall 2013 edition of Surplus Guns magazine on pages 152-155.

While it's rare that I find myself referencing Mother Jones, the author does make a good point - basically, that reporters aren't going to let this go now because Jay Carney made it personal by lying to their faces:   http://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2013/05/heres-why-benghazi-may-finally-have-legs

 14. I got carded at checkout for a Birchwood Casey Perma Blue kit! I refused based on general principal and my keen sense of self-awareness that I'm an a$$hole who likes to stir up trouble. I know it's not the cashier's idea, so I asked for a manager. She goes to get somebody, no doubt rolling her eyes as she tells him, because he comes over with an apologetic sigh. I waited until he's just about to start his 'shoulder-shrug-with-palms-rotated-upward' gesture to shake my head disgustedly and say 'don't tell me it's company policy'. He does anyway, admitting he agrees it's stupid, but they have to follow the rules. I avoided asking him if he EVER drives too fast on his way to work and skipped asking if Walmart asks for his papers to buy bleach and dish soap. I just cut to the chase and asked if he wanted my money or was I going to have to go somewhere that did. I walked out with my bluing kit and my HCP and DL never left my wallet.

 16. This is my boy Wrangler. A 7yr old registered/pedigreed blue American Staffordshire Terrier. HE IS NOT A "Pitbull"!!!! That irritates me to hell when somebody see's him for the first time and says "good looking pit". American Pitbull terriers are ukc registered, where amstaffs are akc registered. And amstaffs have a milder temperament, while keeping that "die for their family" guard dog mentality. He shares the house with my wifes silky terrier, and a cat. He has never harmed either one in any way. He is by far the best dog ive ever owned.

Great idea......I can order another seater if I ruin this one....have to set up the drill press now....thanks Dolomite!     UPDATE   I took the seating die apart and the metal ram inside the die is two sided...one side flat (for FMJ) and one side hollow (for soft points)  I never would have thought of looking at the internal ram....thanks again Dolomote.....

 28. Last night on 60 Minutes they told the story of Jessica Buchanan. She was an aid worker who was working in Somalia with a charity group and was kidnapped by Somalian Bandits and held captive for ransom for 93 days in the desert. This is an incredible story and when she tells how the Seal Team finally came and rescued her it will blow you away. God bless our Special Forces who do so much and get so little recognition. Have a box of Kleenex handy. Best 15 minutes you will spend today.     http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50146677n

 30.   Maybe. But who cares? This is one of the rarely publicized, incredible missions of one of our most highly trained Special Operations forces. Awesome story no matter the timing.    Also remember that missions like this are highly classified. Everything the SEALs do is Top Secret and above. Declassification doesn't happen over night.

 32.   There is no real way to spin an absolute lie once the facts come out.  His only hope on this one is that his friends in the media will try to downplay the cover-up and do a good enough job that his groupies will buy it.  I am not sure that is apt to happen considering folks like Joe Klein have even come out against him on this and are even criticizing the use of the IRS to target right-wing political groups.  Perhaps even the loony left realizes that this administration is starting down some potentially dangerous paths with its policies.

 33. kieffer:____________   Your point is well taken.  I've never seen anything like this administration before either; and there is some real "low information" hero worship and some "get even" cheering surrounding the great Obama.  Havin said all that; there are some interesting things going on that cause me to believe the Dems are gonna have to "rebrand themselves" and distance themselves from the extremists in their party; and Obama is certainly an extremist by anyone's yardstick.    One of them is the Benghazi thing that wont go away (....interesting read here: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/12/curl-watch-out-petraeus-benghazi-scandal/   ...) and the IRS thing this thread is about.   The third is the loss on the "expanded background check" thing in the senate; along with the absolute thrashing on the Barbara Boxer/Schumer gun grab provisions in spite of the administration's very visible support for them.   Surely the "smart" democrat strategists know they cant keep up the mantra that this current administration is using.  It's very possible that they may loose the Senate majority after the 2014 elections.   In summary, i believe the Obama administration has lied so much, mistreated so many (...the IRS even bothered Jewish organizations -- a real "sacred cow" to the democrats...), and been so high-handed in doing so (...ALA Lincoln...) that they have offended most everybody in the country.     Here's hopin   leroy

 34. I worked there for 18 years.   "This is an extremely unusual occurrence, and we're confident that we will make swift arrests," said Remi Braden, a police spokeswoman.   I have to call BS on that statement. It's typical...so much so that it usually doesn't garner much, if any media attention. "swift arrests"...sure you will...     razorback is right.   But Boy...do I ever miss the food. :yum:

 45. I found a bic lighter a few months ago I had when I was in boy scouts. It still works perfect. That was over twenty years ago. I'm currently 35 years old and don't see myself living much more that twenty more. SO! I buy bic lighters and stick them EVERYWHERE. There's lighters all over the place here, plus I have a box filled with them. Chances are, there'll always be a lighter around for me. Only thing else I do is keep a flint and steel, pitchwood and steel wool in a tinderbox in my BOB.

 47. I looked at the Seecamp and MPA380P and both require two hands to eject the mag which is not possible for me right now. I decided to go with the Micro Eagle as I found a new one in Nickel for $425. It's smaller than the NAA, LCP, Tomcat, Keltec and P238. Trigger pull is a bit long but since its the only safety feature, I like that for a gun that's going to ride in my front pocket.
