I don't care if I live in area that is considered dumb! I live, I make a living, I have fun, and I have a beautiful family. I have life, liberty and I pursue happiness, what else is there? Do you think I care if a people from other states think I am dumb! If you do, that is just dumb!5 points

Most of the people I went to college with do not have jobs in their majors.....all that money and time spent for the hope to get a high paying job that no longer exists......tech/vocational schools are the way to go. I know of, at least 6 certified, exNASA, rocket scientists that are working for sub $50,000 annually.......and a slew of carpenters, masons and plumbers making $70,000+. A four year college sheepskin guarantees exactly squat! (except a student loan that never goes away) my :2cents:4 points

Did you go to college? Because that is entirely incorrect.3 points

http://www.thestreet.com/story/12712489/1/the-10-dumbest-states-in-america.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO So we are dumb because fewer people have Bachelors degrees than in places like NY and CA... I think most of us would much rather live next to someone that knows how to run a tractor and pull a trigger than one who puts their grocery shopping lists in APA 6th ed. format. I say we try and work our way up to #1 on that list by 2016.2 points

Fixed it. It was a 30 amp fuse that goes into an adapter that is wired into the engine. Last night I was just looking around the engine, seeing if anything was out of place, when I discovered this fuse. I pulled it and it was blown. $5 and a trip to Autozone later, I put a new one in, turned the key, and she came to life! I was so happy! Thank you everybody. I will remember in the future to check the seat switch and also for fuses that do not look blown.2 points

I think colleges and universities do a great job at educating the smarts right out of people. And I have a college degree.2 points

Many professors are flaming liberals, many are not. It's always been that way. I was not indoctrinated when I went to college nor did I have liberal ideals rammed down my throat.2 points

So that storage unit isn't too far from me...I have an atv with a plow that could be used to push the skid while it's on a pallet jack...obviously you'd want a piece of plywood or something between the plow and the material on the skid. Like some others have said, 2 or 3 sheets of plywood cut to strips for runners is the ticket. Pm me if you want to discuss more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

It's always funny to me that these idiots rave about guns when they sell a product, when abused, has contributed to more injuries and deaths than personal firearms ever will. If he's been in business long he's probably allowed some drunk to leave his pub, get in their car and kill someone on the road or highway. People like him are stuck in this mentality like when Bob Costos made that moronic remark about how if a 250+ pound football player didn't have a gun he wouldn't have killed a 110lb woman, when in reality if that big football player hadn't been raging drunk and p!ssed at the world he most likely wouldn't have killed that woman. If he didn't have a gun he would have choked or beat her to death easily. I wonder what pub/bar/club/liqor store he was in getting drunk and mad before he killed her? The gun was just the tool, the booze was the trigger.2 points

I have seen a ton of posts on bug out bag contents. I have someone on pinterest that pins a bunch about B.O.B and EDC and I have noticed one thing I think is missing in all of these. Due to storm season popping up I have gone through my "tornado kit" as I do every year. I was testing and replacing the stuff, when I came across the airhorn I put in the box. I tested it and it worked fine but was a little quieter than it was new. I was thinking about throwing it away but then thought maybe I should throw it in my B.O.B. I figure it would be a little hard to hear under a pile of rubble but it would still be loud enough if lost or hurt in the wild. I was wondering if I was out of my mind to put this in my bag. I keep these badboys in my car, house, camping gear etc but never occurred to me to put in my B.O.B. I know that your bag is used if you are trying to get away but what if you are just trying to get home after a natural disaster, I would think that this might come in handy.1 point

Tractor Supply has some good looking leather belts. No idea how they will hold up though. I am currently considering a Beltman belt myself. Not sure why I didn't think about the Amish - I may swing over towards Lawrenceburg this week and see what I can find.1 point

I did that too. Spent an hour checking and rechecking every safety switch on the stupid thing. Turned out I was the stupid one.1 point

Had gotten in on the TGO CMT group buy 'cause I wanted a TN branded lower. But just never paid enough attention to notice that Predator used their own branded lowers in their builds, and I'm a Knoxville feller, didn't know if they'd sell just a lower, so dropped by there today. So if anyone else interested -- yeppers. 89 clams + tax/TICS. Neatsie keen! - OS1 point

No stamp required for an AR (or AK) pistol. Really there are only a few basic considerations: - If not buying a complete new one directly from manufacturer, you must make it with a lower that was not first configured as a rifle, so start with a new virgin lower to erase all doubt. Once first configured as a pistol, the lower may also be used to make a rifle and even go back and forth between pistol and rifle at any time. - You cannot use a vertical forward grip on a pistol, unless it has a legal over all length of 26" or more, then it's okay, becomes a legal "firearm" while the VFG is attached. The popular Magpul AFG is legal on any pistol, as it has been ruled as not being a VFG. - The SIG SB15 brace (or similar for AK) that you now see on so many pistols, has been ruled as not a stock, and even further ruled as specifically legal to be used fired from the shoulder. Post any other questions. - OS1 point

I would list the dumbest states as those who continue to elect politicians who legislate their rights away for the "common good", continue to raise their taxes which never really improves their state and regulates the hell out of business.1 point

I agree. Have done a couple trades with Jonathan. Always good to talk to and on time.1 point

I got one in black and one in brown back when they used to be $30. They are still a bargain at $40 compared to the prices charged elsewhere for the same thickness of belt. Mine have held their shape like a champ too. My favorite is the Uncle Mike's reinforced belt, though. I think it's actually better than most 3X it's price, because almost the entire circumference of the belt is covered by velcro instead of just a small 1" X 3" area.1 point
This may sound odd, but are there any Amish communities near you? If so, I would highly suggest paying them a visit. I picked up a pair of 2" & 1.5" wide handmade belts made from 11 oz. bullhide for only $22 each & they're just as nice as any $80-$100 belts I've looked at in outdoor shops or online. The 1.5" is plain & the 2" has a nice basket weave pattern & both came with heavy duty buckles. I've been wearing the 2" belt for a year now & it's still stiff as the day I bought it. I bought mine at "Muddy Pond" near Crossville. You can't beat the quality.
I agree 100% I have 2 that I bought in MI at an Amish store that are over 2 years old. One brown and one black. Paid less that $15 ea for them. I have no a$$ disease so I have to wear my belt really tight and these don't stretch or wear out at all. That is true about not really knowing. I'd almost be afraid to seek an AG opinion based on others he has issued concerning firearms. Oh I just come and go lol. But looks like you've been doing a good job. :)1 point

Obviously I'm a Beltman fan, but I'd also vote for wilderness tactical. I own one and they are good belts. I just prefer leather.1 point

Another vote for Beltman. I just got my second one because I wanted black, I have a brown one that is about 5 years old and still looks great. I have not seen this kind of quality in belts since I was buying duty leather. I’ve never seen anything close to these belts in the stores. But they aren’t cheap, they are basically a hundred bucks shipped. My last one took 7 weeks to get, but they also have some standard belts that are ready to ship.1 point

I was researching these to buy one soon. There were three everyone said were the best. Belt man, A Better Belt, and the Wilderness belt. I'm probably going with A Better Belt. There were also many other good choices, but these were the three I saw the most.1 point

They aint no truth to it. It depends on what someone considers intelligence, personally I think someone with common sense is more intelligent about reality and the world than many with college degrees that lack basic common sense. If you consider that then Tennessee has alot smarter people than NY and California. A college degree doesn't automatically make one smart about everything, just what they have the degree in. Proof of that is how many professors and grads and students voted for Obama and support a socialist/liberal philosophy.1 point
