Honestly I've never seen the sense in carrying if it isn't ready to use.9 points

No matter the media spin and the baloney; or discussion over past sins public and hidden; Michael Brown decided to whip a cop as a follow-up to strong arming a store clerk over a bunch of cigars... That's thuggish behavior by anybody's yardstick of behavior; and I figure that aint the first time he used his strength and size as tools for intimidation It turns out that was a bad decision... Serious trouble ensued... Michael Brown should have not made that life changing decision... I can have some sympathy with his parents, who i believe turned a blind eye to bad behavior; but I've got no sympathy for Brown... I'm also sorry that Darren Wilson had to do what he had to do as well... Michael Brown reaped the whirlwind.... let it be... leroy8 points

Whatever he did.. a young kid is dead.. that is the sad part I blame his parents..6 points

So we know he wasn’t arrested for murder or robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. Glad to see that’s their standard for no serious convictions. But I watched a video of him committing robbery and assault. I’m convinced he was a thug and not an altar boy. He tried to commit murder but his victim killed him.6 points

Happy Thanksgiving, all. I hope it's a great day for everybody. When you're around the table with your family and friends, take a moment to think about the troops who are had their Thanksgiving served to them from a mermite that arrived via truck or helicopter. They're standing watch so we can get fat back here at home.5 points

Took this small 9 pointer this afternoon. He never turned to me so I could see how wide he was. I knew he was at least an 8, so I took him. He has 1 small point by the left base as well. He isn't bad, but I would have let him go another year had I seen that he wasn't that wide. I think this one is going to Hunters for the Hungry.3 points

So now that Taiwan has gotten involved in ammo making, seems like they'd be a likely candidate to start some .22LR lines up? - OS3 points

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have. The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming. Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.3 points

This has to be the dumbest $### I have ever seen. Guaranteed to not have your gun when you need it. Even make it useless without a rod? And what made it worse is that said "clip". Some mom is behind this great invention.3 points

I'd also like to see a timeline, biographies and criminal records on his mumma's lovers. Wheel of Fortune . . . a circle of sperm donors and miscreants who keep circling around for a little honey and a cut of the welfare checks. She's a real piece of work, so they're probably all real treasures. . .3 points

How many arrests do you have, versus convictions? How many arrests do any of us have, versus convictions? One is one too many . . . it demonstrates that something in your conduct is seriously out of whack. Now that he's dead, his juvenile record can be unsealed. I'd sure like to see what surprises that document contains. . . .3 points

Happy Thanksgiving to ya'll. If your driving to family for dinner please drive safe so we can hear how tired you got after eating all of that turkey and not what rotten food they serve in hospitals. :D Lp2 points

Finally managed to walk through buds, lots of stuff lots of stuff lots of stuff.there was some ammo but not much to see not too many black rifle accessories lots of shotguns lots of pistols they are having a Black Friday sale where you can buy a mosin nagant for 139.00 The place is nice well lit and clean plenty of help walking around no pressure on sales no condescending crap at the counter There were some kids on one of the ranges shooting a small Cannon that literally rocked the place.it was pretty funny but all good I could have bought four or five guns while I was there and still would have left feeling like something was missing. oh well it is definitely worth the stop if you have time, prices were so-so1 point

I prefer not to post specific gift ideas, as I think that takes away the surprise factor and requires less effort / thought for the giver. In fact, for family gifts if anyone ever tells me "I want X, Y, or Z..." then I absolutely refuse to buy them any of those items. I want each gift to be a surprise, with some thought behind it. Granted, this is a bit harder to do when you don't know the person or when their prior posts don't help, but in that case you just have to think of a good unique generic gift that most anyone could use and appreciate. And I don't mean fruitcake either... :-) If anyone is still struggling with a difficult recipient then I'd suggest something with universally wide appeal such as 22 LR ammo, Midway USA or Amazon gift certificates, or even something based on where they live. It doesn't have to be hard if you just think a bit.1 point

I was at HT yesterday and the had parking spaces close the entrance reserved for veterans. They can be a bit over priced, but telling those women to shove it and veteran parking just earned then some of my business.1 point

I can say this with a clear mind. I have never carried a self defense firearm without a hot tube, full magazine with back up magazines on my person neither in the military or in civilian life and never will. If I ever have to defend myself I will be sending hot lead at my target, center mass if at all possible. I promise I will not be shooting at arms and legs unless that is all I can see of my target...........jmho1 point

True that.......and thankfully it was the criminal that was killed and not the officer. I am so pissed off at the media and general public who have no idea what happened; nor do they want to look at the facts presented to the Grand Jury. Nor do they understand use of force, disparity of force, how fast one can close 30', or what they would do in a similar situation.......other than crap their pajamas. It is a lynch mob mentality. Not only do I feel sorry for officer Wilson, but to all LEO throughout the country that are being vilified. It is only going to make their job much more difficult and dangerous. But let one of these critics get their butt in a critical, life-threatening situation and guess who they will call on first?1 point

Oh, I love this claim from the website: When it comes to getting access to live rounds nothing is faster than the Safety Bullet. Ummm, no.... having a live round in the chamber is the quickest access to live rounds.1 point

And the reason they didn't want to pursue the TM case is because they didn't want the history of the 'little angel' to be made public. I believe this will be a similar circumstance. And that was my point. On a happier note; http://fox2now.com/2014/11/26/help-is-on-the-way-for-owner-of-natalies-cakes-more-in-ferguson/1 point

Does my Glock 34 count as a long gun? That's the longest one I defend the house with. Everything else is in the safe. Mac1 point

I guess it depends on how secure your vehicle/storage is. My long gun, when in my vehicle, is not subject to a a "smash and grab" type theft. They are secure enough that it would have to be a "smash, grind, pry, beat, ect. . ." type theft. which is less than likely with where I park the vehicle.1 point

That's because the NFL is so over-the-top PC that it's laughable. Roger Goodell has taken so much enjoyment out of the game at virtually every level. At least they went from pat-downs to wands... I quit going to Titans games a few years back because I didn't like being felt up/patted down at the gate by TSA rejects. Besides, the best view in the house is from my living room couch.1 point
