My wife's grandmother passed peacefully in her sleep early this morning. At the age of 102, it really wasn't a surprise, but she was a big part of our lives. She lived on a farm all her life, and worked her butt off every day she was able. If you were welcome, there was always a cooked meal on the table. If you weren't; she had a shotgun for that. She was at church every Sunday morning. She raised kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, a garden, cows, tobacco, and chickens. She could mend blue jeans, or a broken heart. There are no more like her, and she was the kind of person I aspire to be. We could use your thoughts and prayers this holiday season. Thanks for listening. Greg13 points

This nutcase shot his girlfriend before killing these Officers. I doubt she had anything to do with these cases in the news. He was just a mental case that wanted to stir some crap on his way out; the world is a better place without him. It's hard for some when the person that is responsible is dead and there is no one left to hold accountable. Jackson and Sharpton are trying to make these cases about race because its job security for them. When guns get pointed at cops or people resist or attack cops; people get hurt. Sometimes it's the cops, sometimes it's the citizens, sometimes it's the criminals. I had the same talk with my kids about being stopped that the Mayor had with his; my kids are white. For the Mayor to tell his kid he is especially in danger because he is biracial is not only ridiculous, its racist; he shouldn't be the Mayor of NYC. He has lost the trust and support of the NYPD; time to go. Prayers to the families of the fallen Officers.7 points

I don't know what you guys are on about, but this guy has some solid advice going. I feel the video was well worth a second and even third watch. You guys can laugh all you want, but I know that if I were to ever get caught up in one of those weird front/side cross fires, I have the tools now to dependably keep targets on rounds. My neighbors are standing around still from watching me practice this and a few other drills in the driveway. I think they're all finally coming to see that when the S hits F, I'm the guy on the block to call. I think I scared a few doing live fire drills like that, but I see at least three of them on the phone right now, probably calling their friends to let them know what a bad ass they live next to. Thanks for sharing Clod, this video truly was a game changa.6 points

Just found it! Just out of curiosity we got out and drove past the other house with the same adress a mile away and sure enough their flag was up. We saw a car in their driveway idling so we stopped and I went up and asked and sure enough she said yep there is something in there that wasn't mine so we all walked over and looked and it was it. Thankful it turned out ok. I am still gonna call the PO and report this because it happens way too often. We return mail to them all the time but have never met those neighbors but I feel good in knowing that they know who we are now. She said if it happened again she would just deliver it to us and I said likewise for her.6 points

I've had this 1980's era 686 6" no dash since my father passed in 2007. For years it rode in a cheap nylon holster for range trips. Additionally, everything I found online was for a 4" barrel. I enlisted our own gjohnsoniv on a previous holster as well and decided to use him again. This is the one he made for my G23 a while back. And this is what I received a few days ago to carry the beast of a 686 in. Gave him a two simple requests- single belt loop and thumb snap. Nailed it. Enjoy..4 points

My church is buying all local LEO in my town fruit baskets for Christmas. It may not be much, but we are thinking about them this Christmas. First time we have done this. Many LEO are getting a bad rap based upon recent events, we want them to know we supporting them this season. I know of other churches in Knoxville and surrounding areas doing the same this year, it appears to be coordinated, but may be just coincidental. If your local churches or civic groups are not supporting, you might want to consider supporting one or more as well, or drop hints to your church, civic groups, etc. Or simply tell a LEO thank you! BTW, thank you LEO for what you do every day! Merry Christmas!4 points

These murders are no more justifiable than the murder of Eric Garner and I shall condemn them the same. The only difference between the two cases is who is getting up in arms about them.4 points

I got the 7' Lambert model at the top of the page. http://www.kincaidbilliards.com/new-tables.html I also got the ping pong table top to go with it, but we haven't opened it yet.3 points

Absolutely will add you and the family to my prayers, Greg. I'm sure such a sweet lady as you described will be welcomed with open arms by many in Heaven. I've always had a very special feeling for grandparents, and I'm sure you do as well. These wonderful people are the glue that bind families forever.3 points

Actually considering the majority of the United States is obese you would cater to the majority of gun owners, not a bad place to be in a market. Perhaps figure out, design and market tactical or self defense accessories for the fluffy fellow.3 points

Heck, I think I am going to go get me a thigh rig and start my own video's. Maybe call it "Fat Man Tactical". It couldn't be any worse than that. Edit> As stupid as it sounded, I liked the sound of Fat Man Tactical. I did a quick search and low and behold, I now own fatmantactical.com. Hmm, what to do next. Sometimes dumb ideas turn out to be fun and profitable ideas. Or not :pleased: Maybe a parody tactical site?3 points

This post has probably not received as many views as the ammo can deal because people have seen the officer shootings on the news. The news generally doesn't report ammo can deals.3 points

I am afraid USPS will not be much help. I had the same situation happen. Tracking showed package left in my mailbox. No package there. Problem was this package was a pistol. I went to the Post Office and was told it showed delivered. Carrier did not remember one way or the other. I reported it to the Police Dept. even though I had no hope of ever seeing the gun again. Three days later a detective showed up with my gun. My address was North Tenn Ave and the letter carrier had delivered it to the same house number on Tenn Ave without the NORTH. The Detective figured it out and advised the people at the address that if the gun was found there would be no problem but anyone caught with it later would be arrested. They coughed up the gun.3 points

I got to spend an hour or so with superduty this morning and he is a really great guy. Talked several issues mostly about firearms. If you ever get to spend a little time with him make sure you do cause he is a very nice guy. I happen to know that for sure because Kasey also approved of him and I trust her judgement 100% because dogs know!!!!!!..................... :up:2 points

With all the negative news, communist-race-baiting-pandering, cops getting executed, MSM distorting the truth it made my day finding this story, one you will most likely not hear about except on Fox News. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2881906/Ho-ho-ho-George-Bush-dresses-Santa-hand-toys-children-s-hospital-visit-bodyguards-went-elves.html#ixzz3MSwQmnDr%202 points

You don't just replace 34,000 cops on the spot. If those cops walk, NYC has no police department for a significant time. It ain't about available bodies. It's about knowing where all the rats are buried. Mayor Commie, OTOH, can be replaced in a heartbeat. The NYPD is worth hundreds of his sorry ass.2 points

I must have missed the "sitting around all day on milk crates" clause in the 4th Amendment that allows practices like stop & frisk. What dangers is he putting his officers in that they don't already face as a part of their job?2 points
-
Well, the kid looks a lot more black than he does white. Then when you consider that over 50% people who get caught up in stop and frisk are black or 14-24, the Mayor has a point that his son was at a higher risk of being in an encounter with police through no fault of his own, and was doing the responsible thing by teaching him how to act in that situation. So, no. That isn't racist, it's just life. Sad as it is.2 points

Well to be perfectly honest I blew off both of these posts. I have nothing to say about that asshole that killed the police that won't get me banned from here and secondly......I have plenty of ammo cans.2 points

Need a sidekick? I promise to be just as big an idiot as this "Lifetime martial artist and soldier" and won't take any of the limelight away from you. I'll just get out of the front of the truck in the direction fire is coming from, get in the back door on the same side, and leaving it open to give a clear view/shot, then slowly roll out the other side. Then maybe climb slowly into the truck bed for cover.2 points

Maybe I should have posted the discount on aluminum foil at Bi-Lo so those so inclined could replenish their supply? This was a tragedy, but I don't know how it could have been avoided. We have some truly messed up people in our society, more so in an urban environment like NYC. LEO's know the risk when then show up to work and can only mitigate it so far without violating a citizens rights. Good situational awareness is the only thing that can be applied going forward. I get that people are upset with Rev. Al and the usual suspects, but the blame is with the sick mind that pulled the trigger, nobody else. Blaming them is like when far left zealots blame the NRA for every gun death. It's counterproductive at best. As to the NYPD being upset with the Mayor, some if it is from his campaigning against, then ending stop & frisk, but the rest seems to stem from him admitting that he had a conversation with his bi-racial son about how he needs to behave around a police officer because of how he looks. Hard truth's cut deep, but that doesn't make them less true.2 points

I hate UPS sure-post. I had a similar experience with something a month or so ago. It showed UPS delivered to the USPS, and then the next day (Friday) delivered. Nothing. Then it shows up on Tuesday of the next week. What really surprised me was that it was an Amazon package. Granted, you can't select which way it comes on Amazon, but that was the first time I had ever had a package come sure-post from them. When I order from Midway, I will always pay the three extra dollars or whatever it is for UPS to deliver it.2 points

A lot of the blame for this rests upon Al Sharpton for inciting this kind of animosity, then secondly the blame falls to NY Mayor Debassio and President Obama for standing beside them and not backing up their own officers. Not backing up the officers over the last few months is a traitorous act, and this killing is the result of that act. Obama is the Chief Law Enforcement Office of the land, the top cop. For him to side with the criminals, for no better reason than the color of their skin, is unconscionable. He was supposed to be the great unifier, What he really is, is a divider. He has divided white from black, and cops from citizens. I fear that this is the beginning of something very bad. The NY cops stood by recently, with their hands tied, and let the so-called peaceful protesters march past shouting that they wanted dead cops. I think that this will start a war of sorts between cops and citizens. These kind of protests are going end up with lots of dead people in the future.2 points

My table was delivered and installed Friday night. I really like it. It is of higher quality than I expected. Mr. Kincaid and his staff could not be nicer or more professional. I can highly recommend this local company if you are in the market for a pool table.2 points

I am hoping it is just an error on the driver's part. He has been known to deliver wrong mail here more than once. I think I would be better off with Cliff Claven.2 points

Be sure to call and report the misdelivery problems to duplicate numbers. The carrier will be informed of it. A large part of the problem is the post office replacing full time carriers with part time employees to save money.1 point

An F-250, even a used one is a hot commodity overseas since most foreign producers don't make work trucks that size. You'd be surprised how many big Fords and Chevy's I saw in Kuwait. Gas prices aren't much of a problem since the countries sell it very cheaply.1 point

TICS goes down every time NICS goes down because they won't give a full approval until they get a clear NICS check. TICS has a MUCH higher false positive rate, and a much higher cost per purchase than the federal NICS check. It's nothing but a make work department that does nothing to protect TN residents. Finally, TICS violates the TN state constitution, because the constitution only gives the legislature the power to regulate the wearing of firearms, not the purchase or possession of said firearms.1 point
