I think the idea here is that Hickok45 himself does not spread his name. You list two sites which divulge his identity. Great. But those aren't Hickok's site. HE isn't going around telling everyone who he really is where he lives, and when is the best time to stop by for a chat. Can you probably look around and find the info? Absolutely. Is Hickok the one providing it? No.6 points

Darn you Willis68, you've made my knife tastes go up in dollar amount. Anyway a Brous Blades VR-71 found it's way home with me tonight. It's not a spring assist but you would never be able to tell with how smooth the blades opens. You just have to apply a little bit of pressure to the flipper and it's open, just incredibly smooth. I disagree that Runco did something that he shouldn't have. Hickock's everpedia page has personal details about him leading me to believe that he did the page himself or provided the details to someone else. Hickock is a public figure. I suspect the privacy issue isn't as big a deal to him as is perceived in some of these other posts.3 points

I met up with KahrMan at Royal Range today. We had a good time talking and snooping. Neither of us tried the range this time, but we did partake of the observation hallway. It's a nice setup. The store was slammed with customers. A couple employees told me they weren't expecting such a crowd today, but the range was attracting lots of shooters. That's a good problem to have. One set of employees worked feverishly to clear the line while another set showed guns and gear from behind the counter. I bought a little ammo. The fellow who checked me out was handing out paperwork for those wanting to try the range while ringing me up. They were working as efficient as possible considering the gob of people in the store. With a little patience, we all got where we were going.3 points

And that is exactly what the Democrats count on. Democrats vote Democrat no matter what, it's us on the right that divide our votes because the Republican doesn't meet all our preconceived ideas of what a Republican should be. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Donald supporter, and I will not be voting for him in the Primary. But when it comes to the choice of Hillary or whomever the Republicans put up...I will go Republican. I will not let others decide who represent us in the White House, I don't care if the Republican doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell in TN, I will still give my vote to them.3 points

I would love to take out an ad in the KNS that says, "Hey Chief Rausch, what part of "but the Legislature shall have power, by law, to regulate the wearing of arms with a view to prevent crime." don't you understand? It doesn't mention being able to restrict just because there are cops there.2 points

i hate that "being famous" somehow gives you a superior opinion. I am sure they have more influence over the "heard" but notability and intelligence don't always go together. If in doubt, take a look at Johnny Manziel :wall: Thankfully, my vote will count the same as all those listed next year.2 points

Yep. You keep backup iron sights on a fighting gun usually because the main optic uses a battery. Smart guns will never fly. And free cheese ain't really free. Fairy tales for dumbasses.1 point

I would happily pay $50 for Elmer and not feel ripped off. Unfortunately my shelves that hold my whiskey have started to bow from the weight of it all so I'm on a buying pause for now ... [emoji15][emoji15][emoji53][emoji53]1 point

In general, I agree with you. But so many people now seem to believe these "celebrities" have some better knowledge of the world and what's happening in it. Or maybe they just can't think for themselves(most likely option) and want their idols to make choices for them. It's like Parrohead said, being famous seems to grant genius status to some actors and singers who couldn't function in the real world.1 point

I have had a good bit of success with AA 2520. It has a reputation at Camp Perry that goes back a very long way. Automatic's are very different animals than bolt actions. AA2700 works great in 06 Garand's. Try some Federal match primers if your loading for bolt action.1 point

Seen these at Walmart as well as Rural King and even Harbor Freight check pricing to get the best deal. Not much to them just threaded to mate to both cylinders. It's not hard but there is a trick to it. First screw in the filler valve onto the 20lb cylinder, then turn the 20lb upside down, then screw in the 1lb cylinder (some say chill the 1lb first) then open the 20lb's valve and fill until it stops flowing then shut off the 20lb's valve and unscrew the 1lb cylinder. Have a set of needle nose pliers handy to jiggle the 1lb cylinder's needle valve if necessary. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Enerco-Mr-Heater-F276172-Propane-Tank-Refill-Adapter/217998981 point

Well I guess we can count on them never advertising on TGO since they can count on us to use the power of the Internet to slam them for taking care of one customer instead of taking care of another customer. I mean, after all it doesn't sound like they were socializing and just ignoring you. It sounds like they had a customer at the counter, no matter if the other customer told them to go ahead or not. Guns aren't low-dollar sales. Walking away from a customer on the cusp of making a large purchase can give that customer all the opportunity he or she needs to embrace indecision, talk themselves out of it, and take their money somewhere else. Ask anyone who works on commission and they'll tell you that you don't do that. I think as consumers we've all become pretty damn whiney. We expect instant service, unlimited selections, and for retailers to kiss our butts while making shoestring margins, and there's hell to pay for a company's reputation on the Internet if they don't deliver all of it with a smile in 30-minutes or less. For what it's worth, I have spoken with Royal Range recently about becoming an advertiser on TGO. We really need advertisers. We don't have near as many now as we once did and that really cuts into our operating capital. I'm sure if they read this thread, it'll weigh into their decision to support TGO. Any why the heck shouldn't it?1 point

I have a new PMR-30 that I just got a few weeks ago. Finally took it out shooting over the Thanksgiving weekend. It seems to be that the biggest issue is finding which ammo your specific gun likes. Mine didn't like feeding the CCI lead free rounds at first. Every few rounds the slide would lock back as if it were empty. I rack the slide again and it would fire for a few rounds and do it again. I fired some Federal V-Shok through it and it went bang every single time. After about 200 rounds, it got more reliable. Around 250 rounds, slightly better still. The trick seems to be breaking it in good. It's due for a good cleaning now and we'll see how it does after that again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
