They are still being produced but for my entire life they have been hard to get. It seems like they are always back ordered. I sold one on a forum a few years ago for $25 in less than 5 minutes.

Several months ago I began forming a relationship to become a dealer for Southetn Grind knives, http://southerngrind.com/ I talked them into sending me a knife to sample to see if they were up to my standards. I recently found out that all the profits from Zac Browns knife company go to a wonderful camp for disabled children called Camp Southern Ground This my friends is what I call a first class company, their knives are all built in Georgia and I can now tell you after carrying my Bad Monkey for the last day, they are definitely up to my standards. My knife came to me sharp, extremely sharp but since I have my system I could not resist to make it better i am thinking of doing a Badass Blades model with them

I have a T-grip on a Smith Model 19 snubbie. It makes a hard to hold pistol a dream to shoot. I'm looking at the possibility of ordering a couple for some j-frames.

Now this I could get behind. lol

New addition to my full size 40s vintage self loading rifle collection. Finally bagged me a Swedish AG-42b otherwise known as a Ljungman. Here it is pictured with my other three. Top to bottom: 1942 Springfield Garand, 1945 Ljungman, 1941 SVT 40, and an Argentine FN49. . Still on the to acquire list are a MAS 49/56 and the Egyptian Hakim (Ljungman copy). Then maybe a Beretta BM-62 or a Walther K/G43 if I can swing it. I would still love a 41 Johnson automatic too. Again, this is just the big rifles. I have also an m1 carbine and SKS. Isn't that what gun tinkerer's do? Miniature Machine Corporation (MMC) at one time made an adjustable rear replacement sight for the PPK/s which the late gun writer Skeeter Skelton wrote about rather frequently. For those of you who admire the looks of the PPK, PPK/s I agree it is a beautiful gun with the PPK being the more desirable of the two. If you have a reliable PPK or PPK/s in .380 ACP its a nice pistol If you find one in .32ACP and get a chance to shoot it you'll be amazed at how pleasant it is to shoot. Overall, the PPK, PPK/s is one of the pistols all shooters should find an opportunity to shoot.

A little preview: Last year I made the decision to trust my life on the street to Second Chance body armor. I got the level IIa because it stops the most rounds. plus I got the Trauma Plate for the front. What scares me is that, although I can fit an extra trauma plate in the front, I cannot fit a second one in back. As of late I have taken to duct-taping a second trauma plate to the area of my back where the heart and vital organs are located. Then I put my vest on. Here is the questions. The ducttape solution, although tactically sound, is hot and painful to remove. I would like to go to the single-plate solution in back. What I am worried about is repeated hits to that area with .308 ammunition. I have a high-risk security job and I fear that I would be the target for repeated long-distance shots to my back. Are any of you aware of a thicker plate that could stop, say, .338 Lapua or something like that? Is there a better way to do the second plate? BTW, I am, of course, usually carrying a pair of ceramic plates in my briefcase so that I can shield my head. My SO (we work as a team when necessary) has a similar accessory containing a breakdown NEF single-shot 300 WinMag with an 18" bbl. The plan is that I shield us with my body and “catch the rounds” while she assembles the NEF. I lay down covering fire with my 23 (Bar-Sto .357 Sig barrel) and she makes the long shots. I will then throw smoke grenades to obscure the area while continuing to lay covering fire. The problem, of course, is when I have to turn my back to run, and then the problem crops up. Thanks! I wondered if that might be the case. To be clear about my question, I have no issues with out of state members. We have a lot of them! But I do start to wonder when most of the posts seem to be borderline trolling for reactions.

Just curious, but why has there never been a thread about all the players that talk to each other during the anthem or stand with their hands gripped tight onto their shoulder pads? Why was this never an issue for anyone until a player actually had a legitimate reason to be "disrespectful?"

I've looked at a couple reflex-sights at the LGS, they're slicker than goose-poop! but the magnification is pretty low, which is really the only reason I'm shying away from them.... The hand-guard on it now is just rounded, there are some vents cut into the metal, and a tapped hole on the bottom for a bi-pod (thread on that coming next pay check... LOL!) - K

No No No NO!!! You will be like "dang it I should have brought my gun!" Just bring what you'd normally use. You'll be so confused and worried the 1st time out it won't matter what gun you have. Just go to a match with your regular gear and shoot. Don't sweat the rules you'll pick those up as you go along. Think about how you learned baseball or football. Did you sit down and read the rule book or did you jump in and learn as you went along. It's not great sin if you break cover or drop a mag when you shouldn't. It's just part of learning.

Come out, but bring your gear. If you let us know what pistol you have we can probably hook you up with gear also. Most of us have multiples for most guns.

getting started at a club match is different from a sanctioned shoot where rules are rules. Most local clubs try to adhere to the rulebook, but exceptions are made for new shooters. Don't let the rulebook keep you away.

Lots of good advice. Go to a match and bring what you have. All the clubs will work with you your first time out. It will give you the chance to see what others are doing. It's not as complicated as it seems. Just go, be safe, have fun and learn.

Good Info from both Wiljo05 and sschrick I would offer this recommendation - - - Please DO NOT get a Blackhawk SERPA Holster. They are IMHO unsafe. Too many shooters do not understand the correct placement for their finger to release the locking SERPA Auto Lock (see red arrow in picture). Folks will use the tip of their finger to release the lock, and then as they draw the handgun their finger will touch the trigger and a negligent discharge WILL Happen! At best the shooter gets a disqualification from the round impacting closer than two yards away, at worst the shooter (or somebody else) gets a gunshot wound. Blackhawk makes a very inexpensive holster without the SERPA that they call the Sportster Standard that can be had in the $20-30 range that will do everything you need in IPDA.

Ended up using a stone from my knife sharpening kit. The gun is basically perfect now

So I sent Willis my ZT350 last week. While I don't abuse my knife, I also really don't spend a lot of time maintaining it. When I sent it to him the auto assist had stopped working and it wouldn't cut much of anything. Loose bale string was a nightmare, unless I could push it against something hard and saw on it there was no hope of cutting it. I really questioned why I even carried it every time I had to use it. First, turn around time was impressive. Less than a week from Wyoming to Tennessee and back. When I opened the box today, aside from the worn finish I didn't think it was the same knife. Seriously, I thought he might've switched it with a new ZT he meant to ship to someone else. First off, he fixed the opener. I didn't ask him to, didn't expect him to, didn't even really remember it wasn't working. I just got used to the knife not assisting anymore. After fixing it, he sharpened it. I sent this knife back to ZT once to get refurbed, and the factory didn't do as nice of a job as Willis dos. It's like having a whole new knife. I grabbed some loose bale string, pulled it kind of snug and the weight of the knife was all it needed to cut through it. If I look real close, I think I can actually see my reflection in the edge of the blade. This may be the best money I've ever spent on any knife, and I intend to send a few more his way pretty soon. If you're on the fence about it, it's well worth the money. [emoji106]
