This 870 started its life as a Police issued weapon in California. Remington had extra Wingmasters that they outfitted with 18" barrels and polymer furniture. Once this one had fulfilled its duty it was sold and is now in my possession. I added a Wilson Combat 2 shot extension and refinished it in OD green. What do you guys think? Well that depends. I honestly believe yoga pants, as well as spandex pants, should not come in XXL. Yoga pants and spandex were never meant to be worn by someone who has to pour themselves into an XXL. The materials used to make spandex must be some strong material, I cannot imagine the tensile strength they have in order to survive some of the bodies they are holding in.5 points

Don't give up yet. The old gal has some years on her, and needs a bit more tlc before settling in to be your new honey. Heck, at 48, she's younger than me. And I ain't been parked permanently yet.4 points

I finally got time to make something......here are some pics. Total cost was about $25. It's easy to remove, but actually pretty sturdy. It's actually not near as wide as it looks in the pic. it overhangs my 4 wheeler by about 4" on each side is all.2 points

Got mine last week and just now able to post. Got some great stuff! Got a new mag for my new 10/22. Much better than the junky ones I had! A new bore snake...can never have to many of those to have on hand in different places. And I guess I need to start a bug out bag! Got a neat little .22 ammo dispenser (never even heard of such, but wow I needed it!), some combat gauze, and a tourniquet. Not to mention the well thought out note. Thanks Santa! Yoga pants are a gift from God. lol You know the guy with the camera kept saying, just one more pic...almost got it right. I had reason to be on a college campus for several hours on a Saturday a while back. Sigh...to be young again. If I started wearing yoga pants, you guys can shoot me...2 points

Just talked to PSA. After sitting on hold for 49 minutes they finally answered. The gentleman I spoke with was fantastic. He seemed genuinely irritated that they sent out wet ammo. He sent me a UPS label and RMA form so I could send it back and they will be replacing it. That is the kind of customer service I like. They apologized, said ship it back and we will make it right.2 points

I carry a knife everyday, typically my damascus TGO Magic. In an effort to minimize scratches on my favorite knife I don't typically put anything else in the pocket I carry my knife in (keys, change, etc). I've been TDY out in Oklahoma for the last couple of months and I came across these jeans made by Ariat (the boot company). They have a built in knife pocket that allows me to carry my knife and use the pocket without fear of damage to my knife. A small thing I know but it's made me pretty happy. Merry Christmas y'all.1 point

Liked that S&W CORE set up so much, I replaced the EDC with a mini-version Extension was just for giggles, have an x-grip on a 17 rounder. Up in the air about having the slide milled and installing one of those Burris optics on it too since I've got free extras coming in from that rebate thing. just not sure on it yet.1 point

http://wate.com/2016/12/16/toys-for-anderson-county-children-in-need-stolen-from-parked-vehicle/ For those of you who do not know the Rocky Top community is a relatively poor community. Not a lot of families can afford to celebrate Christmas like a lot of use do. And that is what makes this so much worse, they have stolen gifts meant for the children of poor families. For some of those kids this was going to be the only gift they receive this season. The thieves stole over 300 small gifts meant for the underprivileged children of the Rocky Top community. I cannot imagine the thought process because it was likely someone from the Rocky Top community who stole the items from the needy children within that community. I spoke with the people organizing the event and they were able to have a decent time for the kids although it was not as good as it would have been had the thieves not stolen Christmas but it was as good as it could be considering the circumstances. The packages were stolen less than 24 hours before the gift giving ceremony and that left a lot of members of the community scrambling to make up the loss so no child would be left out. I am not posting this so others will donate, the event is already over and done with. I am posting this because the more people hear about it the better the chance is the thieves who stole Christmas from 300+ children will be caught. The thieves didn't stop with the theft of the gifts either. This is put on for the less fortunate kids in the community and normally these kids would also receive free photos with Santa but not this year. Not only did the thieves take the gifts but they also took the setup the event organizers bought so the children can have their pictures taken with Santa. And as bad as that is it is not the worst part of it. The worst part is the thieves threw a lot of what they stole into a creek, including the picture taking setup, this made the pictures for the children that much more difficult. So not only did they steal Christmas from the children but they also stole the only photos some of these kids will ever get with Santa. In my opinion stealing from poor children is about as low as you can get as a human being but to then destroy some of it just to grief the less fortunate kids is less than human. So if anyone has any information regarding this call the number in the quote. Those responsible had better hope they are in jail before the community finds out who they are. There are a lot of people who are looking for those responsible and not because they want the bad guys to go to jail. They are hoping for some backwoods justice before LE can catch them. I honestly hope the thieves get everything they deserve and then some.1 point

Good idea! I intend to do some trail making later on. I hadn't really thought about it, but I'll be adding something like that for sure.1 point

Great work! I bet you could add outside stake pockets now and make simple sideboards if you wanted to haul supplies or such around. Would be great to haul the chainsaw and gear around if trimming out trails in the summer.1 point

Good choice! I've been using mine for nearly 25 years and not a single problem other than I've worn out a few pick up fingers on the primer tubes. Needless to say I am very pleased with mine. I don't shoot nearly as many metallic cartridges as I used to but enough to justify keeping it around. I have a friend that recently acquired a Dillon 650 and I helped him set it up over the weekend. We mounted it, set up case feeder and set the .223 dies and adjusted the powder seetting on Saturday. I went back on Sunday and we cranked out 1000 rounds in under three houres. I'm thinking I may have to upgrade because to be honest I got a little spoiled in one 3 hour session.1 point

I have no sensible reaction to this type of evil. It just defies understanding. I do hope the bad guys are found...by the local people first.1 point

Oh Hell, just call Dillon. You're not going to save any money buying local and you're going to be asked all the right questions. Also you will be assigned a customer number so you will be able to get any parts from their lifetime guarantee without 20 questions. I've had my 650 for 15 years and the only thing that has ever gone wrong was some small plastic part. But whatever you need they have in your mailbox in 3-4 days postage paid.1 point

got mine in yesterday, they were simply in the original box with a label slapped on. There was one corner that was torn, but nothing was missing and the individual boxes were intact. Looks like it had been well handled though.1 point

Mine is not a gift. Prioritize the others, I'm in no hurry.1 point

They're probably scattered around the floor of a trailer, or underneath a beltway somewhere in a hub, or maybe in a pile at end end of a sorting chute somewhere. That's where I saw most boxes get torn open. If a box was already compromised (crushed corners, water damage) those chutes did an excellent job of filling up and destroying weak boxes. The repack thing is super common, and honestly nothing to get all jacked up about. Can you imagine the expense and time involved if, every time a box was damaged in shipping they stopped all plant movement, tracked down the receiver and/or shipper, called them, told them what happened, asked them how they felt about it, and how they would like the carrier to proceed? Yikes.1 point

Hey Shotgunner, it's never too late to hear about experience in the field. I've heard that if you're saving the hides, the .17HMR makes a small hole going in and explodes inside, without exiting on the other side of the hide. I just put a better scope (BSA Sweet 17), but haven't had a chance to sight it in yet. I'm anxious to see what it will do in the field. Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.1 point

More of a "look at this" kind of thing to me. Never saw a real use for one. "Things going south" and I am shooting with a BP firearm and taking what the other guy has till I get what I need.1 point

Well, you see, I've been on the market for a nice Garand, but every time I have the money to buy one, I end up with something completely different. This time I thought I'd upgrade my carry gun. And I wanted a good quality 9mm. Then, I was sitting around the house, waiting on a repairman (who never showed up) and I ran across this gun on a forum.... I sent him an email, and the next thing you know, I've bought a 98 year old P08 Luger.... We shall see how good or bad of a deal I got in a few days, until then we all must just drool over some pictures1 point

x2 for Reloaders Bench. They know the product and have good selection of new and used parts. If your shell plate or buttons fit other caliber kits you can piece together another set up and save a few bucks. Everyone else has caliber conversion kits and presses only. it is a money pit if you a lot of calibers and these guys saved me a few bucks.1 point

I'll throw a wrench in the works. Another excellent option, Savage 340. This is a bolt action 30-30. There are a bunch out there, go for $200-$300(usually with scope) and are a great value. Also was sold as Stevens 325, savage 840, etc.... Ill echo the comment about Hornady leverloution ammo, it'll stretch the common available 30-30 loads by about 50yds. I used it until I started reloading .1 point
