  1. This desirable 1988 Heckler & Koch P7 P7M13 wears the "II" date-code. It has a Chantilly, VA import mark. This gun remains in excellent condition, as shown. Don't miss your chance to add this H&K squeeze-cocker to your collection! These are highly collectible and with the extras included make it a great opportunity. Included are 2 extra 13 round mags for a total of 4. It has fresh night sights and a leather IWB holster and a kydex paddle and mag holster. This even has a blank warranty card and the ORIGINAL receipt from 1989! This is a bargain at $4500 and will only increase in value. North Nashville area.

  4. That’s stupid. It should be focused on abolishing the NFA, not the ATF. Get rid of the ATF and we are still bound by the National Firearms Act.

  7. Looking at who filed the motion, were you surprised? I don't think anyone will ever accuse Gaetz of being overly intelligent ...

  8. Complete waste of time by Gaetz. Not surprised either. I wish the GOP would work on a practical solution for this issue.

  9. A consideration for you, think about what ammo is usually on the shelf during severe shortages. I remember always seeing .270 even in the worst of it.

  10. Let's not forget the .45 Winchester Magnum. I had a buddy who bought a new LAR Grizzly in the 80's. It was basically a big 1911 with a big grip to hold those rounds. The barrel stuck out of the slide a couple inches. Looked pretty cool. He let me fire it one time, as in ONE shot. Ammo for it was outrageous, even back then. It was on .44 mag level in a semi-auto. They never caught on really, I think the Desert Eagle pretty much buried any real interest in the Grizzly.

  11. If you haven’t read it, the book from which the title to this podcast gets its name “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” is also a good read. I read it back in high school (many a moon ago)

  12. Drove to Cookeville yesterday evening for a meeting with Senator Paul Bailey. Carried a lot of information on the Bruen and successor suits. It is a long way back to West TN in the dark and pouring down rain, got in a little after midnight, (hard on an old man) but had a good meeting. Only way to advance is to do the work!

  14. I have a pretty darn nice, lightly used Smith & Wesson M&P10 in .308 Winchester or 7.62x51NATO. I have shot probably 50 rounds through it, would be surprised if the previous owner shot many more. Looks like almost new, some handling marks. I'm not an AR afficionato so I don't know much about it or what to look for. I have disassembled to remove the bolt and look at it but that is it. It has a nice floating heat shield installed but comes with the stock one. M-Lock angled foregrip installed on it. Has some nice Troy Industries flip up sights that will go with it as well. 5 Mags with 1 all metal 10 round mag. It is a nice rifle, with everything included, in the bag, ready to go, first $1,300.00 takes it. Also, still willing to trade towards a .308 M1A and maybe O/U shotguns depending.

  15. I'm with you. I won't buy a gun that has been customized. I want it stock factory. I'm the same way about automobiles. I have passed on several S&W revolvers lately because they have spring kits in them. I figure the manufacturers have engineers making 6 figures designing these firearms and someone in a garage on their workbench is trying to improve on their design. It might work 20% of the time but the other 80% of the time they just downgrade a good gun. Just my 2 cents worth. Your opinion may differ.

  22. Midway used to sell brass with their headstamp- I have their brass in .41 mag-so I would assume that is someone's handloads- I have not heard of Midway stamped complete ammo- Someone else may have knowledge about Midway that's different-

  23. Shot my first dove (and second, third, etc) with a Herrington and Richardson single shot .410. @FUJIMO has it now.

  24. Great thoughts here! My first gun was a Savage Model 24; .22 LR over .410 gauge. My Dad taught me that I first had to "master" a single shot gun before moving on to anything else. When I showed I could shoot proficiently with the .22, I moved up to Dad's Winchester Model 63 (which I still have today!). He set the goal that I had to shoot a dove with my single barrel .410, and when I masterd that, I inherited my grandfather's L.C. Smith Field Grade double-barrel in 16 gauge!

  25. This actually saddens me. First of all, I hate that Barrett is now owned by a foreign company. Let's face it Australia is not a bastion of 2A rights. So you have to figure that any Australian defense company is going to be toeing the Australian Government line, in order to keep their defense contracts. Second of all, I hate that the Barrett family is no longer in the firearms business. They were one of the few that told California to shove it and they stopped selling their weapons to state and local LE agencies, there. They even went so far as to refuse to service the weapons they'd already sold there. And made the LE agencies actually fly individuals to Tennessee to pick up their weapons. That was clear signal to the state that they were no longer welcome to do business with Barrett. I highly doubt that is going to be the case going forward.

  26. My Son in Law wanted to give my 14 Y O grandson a semi auto shotgun. I gave him a single shot 410. I told SIL Parker needed to get accustomed to shooting a single shot or a pump first. Told SIL he couldn't purchase ammo fast enough for his kid to burn in a semi auto. He thought about it and agreed. Sure is a lot of merit to single shot rifles and shotguns for the young. For sure, with ammo so expensive and hard to come by. I learned on the 410 when I was 8. Learned how to make shots count also. Dad made me purchase my own ammo. Mowed yards for money to hunt.

  30. So did the ATF put anything in this new rule to compensate the citizens who don’t want to own a SBR? Or did they basically rob us all of $$$.

  34. Too many people do that and the ATF will start regulating what "accessories" you can have on your bulldozers. You'll have to register your "assault bulldozer", and then another registration for the muffler (suppressor), and then will come a ban for fuel tanks that hold over 9 gallons, nobody needs over 9 gallons to push over a tree.
    1 point
  35. "Free" SBR registration means they don't care about the money and they don't want them to be illegal, so they must just want us to register them so they know who owns all the guns. That scares me way worse than the penalty for not registering.

  39. I know that feeling. Our 5 year plan turned into a 3 year plan turned into a "Well, time to hit the road" plan. Bought property on the hill around 2018. Wanted to get 25 years into the pension before we left. Covid hit. My department shutdown. Wife was able to work remote. Property taxes were going up. Bought back some .mil time and got 20 yrs in the pension. Sold the house Mass and started building down here. Added an in-law to the build and my mother moved with us. Went from turning wrenches to building service trucks. Best decision ever.
