  1. Woke up Monday morning with my truck sitting on my chest. Woke my wife and told her I think I am having an attack. She called 911 took the ambulance 20 minutes to get to my house. Ten minutes later I was on the road to Ascencion St Thomas in Murfreesboro. There about 20 minutes and was taken to Cath lab. Had a blood clot in one of my bypass arteries. Now heart muscle damage and am in heart failure with only 30% heart output (should be 50 to 75 % at my age) but finally home. Not feeling real bad but am somewhat weak. Will need serious rehab and rest. Heart muscle damage and in danger of several bad outcomes in the short time future. I got to get the weight off and watch diet plus take 3 different heart related new meds now and pray for the best. Consensus is, most probably caused by my bout with Coved about 2 months ago. Seems a lot of people who get the new strain of Coved are having blood clots shortly afterwards. Looking to an uphill climb at 76 now. My wife and girls are very glad I am home. Life is short guys. Hope you all are prepared for your demise, I am. I am a child of Jesus the Christ and live for HIM. I am sure my attack took place 5 minutes down the road to the Hospital and could tell the Paramedic was excited with trying to show it. Kept running heart strips all the way to the Hospital. Both my arms were tingling and almost useless, and I began sweeting profusely. I was not scared and was at total, peace, after my prayer, with whatever happened. Only way to be that way is to be a child of Jesus, guys. I did feel terrible concerning and sorrow for my wife because if worse came to worse she would be left alone. Think about eternity guys, please.

  2. I’m a huge fan of hockey tape. It’s cheap, and it’s effective. Basically all my guns get wrapped in it now if they’re gonna get used off of an indoor range. Since we are talking about shotguns here, I’ll share a pic of my 1301.

  3. Well, since communists deal in instilling fear, I believe everyday people will cease setting up at gun shows. Attendance will be down & many promotors will go out of business. I believe many will drop prices & liquidate their collections. I believe there will be arrests both at homes & gun shows to bolster their agenda, make examples. These tactics have been used in various states, especially the blue states. I hope I'm wrong & these unconstitutional "laws" are overturned. Some here have labeled President Trump a dictator, yeah right, there's a dictator & his minions in office now seeing to the destruction of our country.

  8. Been though that twice Pop-pop and it's been by the grace of Jesus that I have made it this long. I have aged a lot faster since the opened me up the second time but I expected it as I'm 75 and drove my body hard for 35+ years on my life. I live alone except my old hound but the EMT's all know that there is no heroics during transport to the hospital. I trust Jesus with all my heart to do what is right.

  11. So glad you are still with us and glory be to God. Diet change and weight loss is well worth it. I will pray for your recovery. I am so glad that you have peace in the Lord. I’m just a couple years younger than you with several different health issues. But I’m solid in my faith in God. I only worry for the sorrow there will be for my family. But they will rejoin me one day. Any way glad you are still with us. Just concentrate on getting better.

  13. Lord, thank you for sparing pop pop! There is so much sorrow from brothers and sisters in Christ leaving sooner than expected. We know You are coming soon for the whole family of God and we praise you for those who remain that they may complete Your purpose for which they are created. You are a wonderful, merciful Lord and Savior!

  15. I have organized a Meet & Greet. I talked with Top Gun on Whitten Rd and told them this was a 1st meeting, to check if any interest in the West TN area. Top Gun suggested using their BBQ restaurant, then there is no room charge. If anyone wants to shoot that would be the individuals choice, i.e. not part of the meet & greet. The range closes at 8p, the restaurant begins to shut down about 7p. Thursday, June 6th, 5:30 to 7pm. Come and go as the you please. Eat if you wish. I encourage you to purchase something from restaurant. If you want to stay later that's OK also. Request you RSVP on this thread, therefore I will have a general idea how many are coming. Location: Top Gun, 2770 Whitten Rd, Memphis TN 38133 Time: 5:30 to 7pm, Thursday, June 6, 2024 Cost: $none, I encourage you to purchase something at the restaurant.

  16. LEFT HANDED Savage 110L in .243, ~1959-1962, $800 OBO Ammo is included as I do not have or plan to have any other .243s. The rifle has never given me any issues and has taken a buck. It sits in the safe so I'm looking to move it on to someone who might use it and flip the cash into something else: CZ457 or a 80X. In Greeneville, willing to travel a little to meet. Ammo: 100x Norma Whitetail 100gr 44x Winchester Soft Point 80 + 100 gr mix 15x Hornady V-Max 58gr Also includes a laser boresight.

  17. Smith & Wesson 29-5 4" 44 Magnum Aside from the turn line on the cylinder it's in great shape despite being handled a fair amount over the years. I'd guess I've put a couple hundred rounds through it, nothing crazy. The grips are in good shape but there is some cosmetic wear near the bottom on both sides. Never had any problems with it - just decided to pair things down a little. It'll come with this here Galco OWB holster. Don't have the original box/papers - just the gun & holster. My wife would certainly prefer that I sell it but I might be open to swapping for hell, I don't know, something. 9mm, 223/556, full sized AKs, etc I'm in Manchester but travel through Murfreesboro and Nashville several times per week. Be happy to meet anywhere there or in between. $975 Thanks, fellas.

  22. I'll be there. Lots of us have been talking about this for several years. Here's your chance! I'm not sure if I'll do any shooting. I'm much more interested in getting to know other TGO members and talking. But I might bring a few guns just for show and tell. If I have something you'd like to see or even shoot, just let me know.

  38. Did I understand it's the SELLERS responsibility to determine if buyer is buying with intent to resell for profit? This is worse than expected I believe. What a big win for the anti gun lobby. Basically this law will make everyone skittish about selling privately to anyone except close friends or relatives. I invision a bill of sale form with verbage saying "buyer purchase with intent for personal use and will hold for a minimum of one year before resale"

  39. president and ATF can't enact or change the law. you would think the congressional yank on ATFs chain would deter this type of crap. Just another example of the fascist over-reach of the current admin.
