Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.” The man smiled and responded, “You must be a Democrat.” “I am,” replied the balloonist. “How did you know?” “Well,” said the man, “You don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You’ve risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem.” “And You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it’s my fault.”

Ha. I go to several Industry shows for work and they generally have apps like this. I mainly end up using them for seeing who's at the show rather than planning a route. For the most part I end up walking by every booth anyway. Walking is good for your health. :)

Losing a parent is hard, your family and Father were graced with just enough extra time to better come to terms with the inevitable conclusion. While I'm profoundly sorry for your loss I'm also gratified that all of you were allowed that finale bit of time to say goodbye.

We have a supermajority in both houses of congress in TN to go along with the governor's mansion.  We passed far more restorative measures re Article 1 Section 26 when we had a Democrat for governor and a basic 50/50 split for the legislature .  The more one sided it gets, the less we get done in Tennessee. NRA loves Lamar Alexander, the only Republican Senator to vote against the permit carrier to be allowed to keep their lawfully owned firearm in a Federal Park. We shgould not back parties, bur rather principals, and individauls.

I just got my first PROTECH AUTO and I'm liking it. This one is a TR-4 Schaw Skull LTD. #23-#200. Scales are Bright Alum. with Barb Wire and Bricks outlined on the Handles with the Skull inset in the handle and Skull Lanyard. This knife rocks, opens good and firm you can tell it's a quality made Knife and it won't be my last. I which I could post some pics. but I don't have a photo bucket account or any other, why is it I can pull pics.off my computer and post them in the want adds but can't do it when posting in the normal discussion threads?

Yeah, I've read the actual warranty online, and it does say lifetime warranty for the  original owner. But, they have been very kind now for a while. I bought mine second hand and it had the peep sight on it. I really don't care for them on a handgun, and I called Hi-Point about buying a regular adjustable sight. The guy told me he only needed my name and address and he'd get one out to me. Free, no charge for anything. Awesome.

I usually decline the little gifts. Just my thoughts that the money used for these trinkets in most cases would be better spent elsewhere.   Not meaning any disrespect to you. But after 20+ years, I've just gotten tired of the branded items.   Just me. Just my own slimy little opinion.

Y'all have a whole lot of faith in a whole lot of government employees if you think those laws will have any meaning when the rubber hits the road. The only real question to their worth is if they will provide any cover against charges after the fact to a citizen who uses all available and appropriate force to resist unlawful actions by LE who were "just doing their job" during a state of emergency.

3 weeks ago I posted about my Dad going to the ER and amazingly pulled off a comeback. He went to rehab but was later helicoptered to St. Thomas in critical condition. Those old lungs were just worn out and he said no more. Never went on the vent, went out on his own terms. This Saturday he would have been 88. He was sleeping a lot on his last day, my sister turned on the Lady Vols basketball game because he loved the Vols in spite of his sleeping so much. He woke up and told her Channel 11, ESPN. He drifted in and out but saw the Vols come from behind for an overtime win, closed his eyes and died later that night. We thought it would be appropriate if he had gone with the final buzzer. The last thing he did was give the keys to his truck to his granddaughter. That gave him as much pleasure as it did her. RIP Dad, you were the best.

Meh, to me it's just a social hobby just like any other. I rarely if ever get drunk, or even too inebriated to operate a motor vehicle legally. I enjoy the spirits for their taste, relaxing affect, and social enjoyment.

Well I'm 5 years and 4 days late to this party, but I just binge watched all 5 seasons in about 3 weeks. I bought the season pass on iTunes for season 5. Allows me to eliminate the commercials without fast forward. I have enjoyed the entire show. It had had it's slow moments but with binge watching I got over it quick. Anyhow I'm here now :thumbsup:

I don’t have any complaints with the quality of my Comcast service. Over 100 Mbps cable, almost every TV channel known to man, DVR, and On-demand. Over the years I have had some issues with equipment; I just take it into the office and they give me new. But the price is crazy because they don’t have any competition. I’m hoping Google Fiber will cause some competition and drive the price down; but they may be just as much and will have limited service area. Some of the networks lock out fast forward on their on-demand channels. I pay a lot for the TV I watch and I shouldn’t have to watch commercials. No breaks for loyal customers is another gripe. They will say and do anything to get new customers, but every year or so they jack our bill up and we have to renegotiate. How about taking care of those of us that are taking care of you. And yes they do have contracts. The last time they jacked the bill way up my wife took care of it and got it lowered. She then told me she had to agree to a two year contract. I asked “Why would you agree to a contract?” She said “You have a contract with Verizon.” I said Verizon gives us deals on phones for a contract. What is Comcast giving you other than a lower price we should get anyway?” We pay a lot for cable services because local governments are allowed to control access.

So sorry to hear of your loss, prayers lifted for your family.

Sorry for you're loss Tuffus. It does sound like he was surrounded by family and passed peacefully which is a small comfort, but a very real one. I'm glad he got to see one last win and share a moment with his granddaughter.

Sorry to hear of your family's loss. Will be praying for ya'll. The story was very touching. I lost my father in 1972 and although it has been almost 43 years I still think of him quite a bit, maybe not everyday but very often. I was 19 when he passed away and I have wished several times to have 5 minutes to ask a question or 2 or get his advice. Time heals but you will always miss him.

I'm longing for the day Google fiber is available. I can't wait to call Comcast and tell them to cancel. The conversation with the retention department will be fun...

Sounds like a lot,until Bloomberg drops fifty million at a time  to defeat NRA and other wealthy anti-gun people  doing the same. With 80 million gun owners in USA and only 5 million NRA members  it is more of an uphill battle than it should be.Time to pass some of the blame to gun owners who sit by and do nothing. The NRA can only do so much with their funding.

  You would think that. And then you would look at "conservative" states like Tennessee where we have the same thing and can't get a decent bill out of committee and would lose some of that optimism.

I like my Shield just fine. Glock won't be getting any of my money for something they should have come out with years ago.....just sayin'.
