  3. You know, that's clearly her gun and she's using a holster. I don't get it. Why some of us have to find something to "help" any woman with a weapon with is probably the reason we don't have more women on the board. Looking at her Instagram page, it appears she spends a lot more time in the field and a lot more time shooting than most of us.

  4. Glock 20 Gen4. I pretty much only shoot Underwood & Atlanta Arms Ammo. Both feed great!

  9. Pretty girl with a nice gun promoting the 2nd. I don't see a problem here.

  10. Balance is key, my Berretta 92 had more muzzle flip than my Browning HP. The key is to figure out where the weapon wants to hit and adjust yourself to it. I always jumped on any chance to go to foreign weapons familiarization courses so I could get the feel of different weapons I could encounter in the field. I didn't want my first time to fire a weapon to be when I truly needed it to hit what I was aiming at.

  11. Funny how that works out....people who want to learn to play the guitar well normally take guitar lessons . People who want to play golf well take golf lessons.....shooting is one of the things that for some reason people think they are born knowing how to do yet cannot for the life of themselves figure out why they are not getting any better at it.....

  12. I just don't like .40. I've found for me its recoil snaps the muzzle around a lot and slows my ability for quick follow-up shots. I'll take a .45 over a .40, as the recoil isn't as snappy. I started out a .40 Glock guy (I have a G22,23, and a 27) and I'm in the process of transitioning over to 9mm DA/SA (CZ 75s specifically with and odd ball Sig P938 thrown in) because I've found I'm more accurate with them than I am with my .40 Glocks.

  14. Interesting but nothing really earth shaking, although ditching the finger grooves is pretty cool.

  15. Me too. With this being a gun forum I was expecting to see a bunch of pistols with their mags out stacked on top of each other.

  17. Navy guns are measured in inches and that stuff just takes up too much shelf space.

  24. I had heard rumors about a M&P Shield 45, but just saw this announcement today. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category4_750001_750051_780153_-1_757781_757781_image

  25. I wanted to share my experience regarding Apex Tactical. As many may know, this company is a source for after-market quality parts for several firearms, especially the Smith & Wesson M&P lines. I have installed several Action Enhancement Kits and triggers. Have been completely satisfied with results and any minor company support on technical issues. I have a M&P 5" Pro that I use for IDPA, etc. I thought I would install the semi-drop in barrel which requires 'a little' customizing. Well I had nothing but trouble....primarily mis-fires, lite primer strikes with factory and reloads. After several conversations with Apex staff they asked that I send the gun to them. They would 'make it right' and I would be charged for shipping and ammo only; no gunsmithing charges. So I did. Of course the M&P line was never known as an out-of-the-box tack-driver. The early models like mine were especially unkind to accuracy. My gun was in their shop for several months, and I imagine it was more difficult than most to rectify the issue(s). Anyway, it is my understanding they did a gunsmith fitted barrel, test firing, shipping and a T-shirt to boot all on their dime. They say you can't rush quality and below is the proof: this is at 25yds, machine rest, 10 shot, 1.56" group. Thanks Apex

  27. If you don't shoot it well then sell it or trade it and buy something you do shoot well. I had a Sig 229 in .357 Sig as my first carry gun. It was a great gun. Very reliable. I replaced it with an M&P compact. I replaced that with a Glock. I shoot my Glock very well. There was nothing mechanically wrong with the Sig or M&P, but I didn't shoot them well. I had to swallow some pride and get rid of them and accept that the Glock worked good for me. It still does. Carry what you shoot good, it will serve you better.

  31. Picked this one up today for a steal. Haven't shot it yet. Feels pretty good though. It was imported by Intrac Arms out of Knoxville. I'll post more info after I give it a good clean & lube then get it out to the range. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk

  33. Have a couple of good shooters try it out. If it runs bad for them you may have a mechanical problem but as said practice helps.

  34. lol, well ain't you just as pure as the driven white snow? I don't know what some of you are complaining about. Girl + gun, in a nice color too. Awesome. I've got female friends that compete and they could outshoot most guys I know. This chick is beautiful. Admire God's creation, hit like.. Move on.

  39. I'll definitely lift you and your family up. If there's anything we can do to help please don't hesitate to let us know - or shoot me a PM. Some things you have to go through in you're own, but some stuff is easier when you've got some folks beside you. Know that you've got our prayers regardless.

  44. This is one of those situations where it doesn't matter if what he did was technically legal or not. This man and his antics certainly turned someone who may have been a neutral bystander into a supporter of "common sense gun laws." Seriously. Why go confront someone in a situation like this? It's stupid? Did he have backup in his little posse? What if the people in the car had had malicious intent? What if there were more than one of them? This guy, in his bravado escalated a situation needlessly. Because the lady was just talking on her phone, he just made gun owners at large look bad. Lord knows we need some more examples of that. This is Bellvue - not out in the country somewhere. Monitor the situation from your living room window - and call the cops if you think something is going down. It's Bellvue after all. They'll be there pretty quick. I'm all for taking care of your family and your neighbors. But this was stupid - and maybe across the line legally. Nobody wants the next Trayvon to be in Tennessee.

  45. Wheel guns are NOT more reliable. You ever looked at the inside of one? Much like a watch........lots of small parts. When they lock up, they are really locked up. If you fall in the creek how is that wheel gun not going to get muddy too? In fact, you may be stuck up to your knees in mud and no way to access your gun. Quick swish in the water and most of your reliable autos should still be working. Now with that said, if you like your wheel gun you can keep your wheel gun (sound familiar?) Like others, I would carry another auto in same caliber like the 43, CM9 etc.

  46. Bought a new M&P Compact .45acp back last fall. HATED IT! Traded it for an .45 XDs and have zero regrets. The M&P had a horrible trigger.
