  8. First and foremost, Merry Christmas! After months of passively searching, I purchased a factory FDE SilencerCo Osprey 45 suppressor for my FN FNX 45 Tactical in FDE. I purchased the suppressor via GunBroker from BMC Tactical/Warrior Steel. After remitting my payment 45 days ago, my suppressor arrived at my preferred LGS, the Nashville Armory. The wait time officially begins as my paperwork has been submitted!

  12. The wait is officially over, my friends! I was at the Nashville Armory this afternoon filling out my Form 1 paperwork to SBR my Draco AK. Lo and behold, my tax stamp arrived while I was completing my paperwork. My suppressor was in jail for 197 days, but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to put it through its paces while it sat in transfer. This is my first tax stamp + I will have several more trickling in until the following January. My nightstand gun is officially complete!

  13. Really Like the way you show the bolt face rotation. I have tried to describe this action to folks with words, but your illustration nails it. I'll now point folks toward your YouTube channel to explain this. Great Work!

  16. Since 8/2008, all receivers are to be transferred as "other firearm", new, used, even if they can only be made into a rifle, whatever. It is not a handgun when transferred on the 4473, and that's what counts. You do have to be 21 to receive one though, and can only be transferred in the state of your residence. Not because it "could become a handgun", but simply because it is not a "rifle" or "shotgun", specifically the only firearms that USC allows 18 years olds to buy, and the only firearms that can be transferred in a different state from your residence. - OS

  17. Thats funny right there but glad the Chow didn't get to you enough before you got the mask off. This reminds me of back years ago when I was getting ready for Halloween and putting on my Grim Reaper make up to hand out candy that evening. My daughter and wife was going to be taking my grandchildren around the neighborhood. All the time I was putting my make up on my oldest grandson was watching me. Later that evening he was made up as batman when they arrived at our house. He would run up and knock and when the people would open the door he would yell out "I'm Batman" and people would give him candy and he would move to next house. Now take into consideration he knew that ths was poppaws house and was excited to say "I'm Batman when I opened the door. Well, he knocked and when the Grim Reaper opened the door He said I'm Batman and then the words OH NO!!! came out of his mouth and he clear the 3 steps of the porch in one leap and went running to my daughter and wife and hid behind them. They tried about 3 times to get him to go back and get his candy but he was having none of that. Later that night he had forgot about it and after they were done getting candy they came back to the house and came in and he saw me and this time instead of running he just stood there and peep his pants and It took about 5 minutes of me taking my makeup off to convince him it was poppaw. I did have a little problem giving candy away that night...........

  22. I sent my pistol to Springfield last Wednesday. They called me late yesterday. The problem was a bulged barrel. Ouch, I would not swear that i didn't have a squib load. I was shooting at a range and watching where the rounds hit the target pretty close. But anyway the fit up of the slide to the barrel is tight enough that my gun would not cycle. the slide would move about 1/4" and stick, that is it would not go back into battery w/o a good push on the back of the slide. I was a little hasty in my first judgement of Springfield. Communication problems we on my end. My email server was acting up. A big thanks and good job to Springfield, $142 for a XDM match barrel a few firing pin parts i did not send with the gun and Springfield covered FedEx shipping cost, both ways. I'm one happy camper!

  28. Too busy fighting space chechens from my couch to go. It is not hate at all, thats unhealthy as you say and a waste of my time. However, as a dude who runs arguably the largest social media platform in the world and goes on lengthy talks and appearances about free speech and acceptance he has spent a lot of time fighting voices he does not like, shady business practices and selling social information aside...if those rumors are to be believed. I have spent a lot of time around self rigtheous and self aggrandizing people - I dont like his methods or his ideologies but to hate someone over their own opinions, no matter how hypocritical, is dishonest. Perhaps it is you who needs counseling for trying to tie negative emotions to another persons satirical/sarcastic take on current events and his opinion on someone whose opinions he disagrees with? Or not. This is a forum, I forget people get prickly.

  29. It's a Honda. Which means it will be solid. If that is your bag. If it were what I wanted, I doubt I would have an issue with it. I think the Subaru Baja was a better take on it. More car, same amount of truck, all awesome. Oh, and it came with a Turbo. Myself, being blindly brand loyal, I keep hoping the World Ranger is released in the USDM market.

  30. I have one as a company vehicle. Would have never bought one on my own but I would now. The trunk is really nice for keep things like a BOB and other such stuff. It is just barely large enough to carry 3 of my customers to lunch. I drive most of my territory and it is great on the highway. I say this from the position of also owning a quad cab 3/4 dodge diesel. If it were to be my only "truck" it would not work for me but for day to day stuff it is great. Kind of ugly but very functional. Mark

  31. It depends on what you want. If it's a smaller five shot .38/.357 then the Model 60 is hard to beat but the SP-101, though slightly larger, is a little more comfortable to shoot with .357 Magnum rounds. If its a 6 shot .38/367 the 3" barrel Ruger GP-100 is a bit larger and heavier then the 2.5" barrel S&W M-19/66 and again a little bit more comfortable o shoot with .357 Magnum rounds. The S&W 686 has been available with a 2.5" barrel and size wise is on par with he GP-100. Overall I prefer 1970-1980's S&W revolvers. My personal recommendation is go with the GP-100.

  33. A man after my own heart! You built a fine rifle. I am submitting my paperwork tomorrow to Form 1 my Draco + PAP M92. Once my paperwork has been approved, I will be adding a triangle side folder to the Draco + a underfolder to the PAP M92. You cannot go wrong with a UltiMAK optics mount. I have one mounted on my Arsenal SLR-107FR and it has functioned without a hitch. Here is an example of a PAP M92 with a triangle side folder + UltiMAK optics mount.

  35. I have tried to like the red dot thing but I cant seem to like it. My carry pistols are Glocks and 1911's . I have gotten to where I just want my carry gun as simple as possible with no switches and knobs and such. I carry a G22 on duty as my sidearm at my job and my patrol rifle uses regular Iron Sights . I just like things simple. No batteries , no distractions , just there all the time when you need it with no batteries. I almost got a red dot sight system on my personal rifle but I backed out .I tried shooting it with red dot , but I have been shooting for over 25 years and I cant get my eyes used to it. I guess I am just old school.

  36. I think the issue is adjacent property. How am I supposed to know if the next guy over is baiting? If I'm on the edge of my property with my back to the property line, there could be bait 50 yards behind me and I'd have no way of knowing that.

  38. I decided to buy a new one. The Hillary hole doesn't bother me much! I like the 2.5 inch barrel. Also, the barrel is not overclocked like I've seen on other new Smiths. Already ordered a Simply Rugged holster last week. Here it is next to my EDC, a Glock 19, for a size comparison. Looking forward to breaking it in Thursday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  39. What a man or Woman does with the money that they work for is their business. The graveyard is full of people that alcohol killed and the government made money on every one of them. I do not use any illegal substance but have no problem lying to someone who has been lying to me my entire life. All men are not created equal

  40. If you're concerned about it simply carry it concealed. I know both concealed & open carry is perfectly legal with a HCP, but sometimes low profile is the best policy. Don't scare the sheep & they won't cry "wolf".
